Ah, NCIS. The American mainstream media may not love you, but I do. Know what else I love? Tony and Ziva. Together, preferably. Fighting over who gets to be on top, possibly. I'm not being the best little updater in the world right now, but I promise it's not because I'm disillusioned with the show. I'm just busy. And yet I still feel the need for the long chapter fics...

So, about those...they're down there, earliest being closest to the bottom, but they're mixed in with the one-shots. Locked, Taking it for Granted, No Good Deed, Black and White, All You Need, Feeling Better? and The Boy Who Lived are continuous, in that order. Just for clarity's sake, the series begins back around the time Dead and Unburied aired, so the continuity shifts from the show to the fics at that point, though I'm not above including some canon details from later in the season - like the McNovel. It's definitely diverged into some AU-ish territory, and will continue to do so with the in-progress installment, Sleepwalker - which is probably a good thing, because TBWL left something big looming.

Right, so most of the other stories are one-shots, except Unburied in Plain Sight, which used to be a one-shot but got all hot and bothered when I told it 'No Tiva sex!' and is now a three-parter with its naughty bits out for public viewing. Also, there's Tragic! Blimp! Accident!, which is my own 'death to Jeanne Benoit' story that smoked some bad granola in seven crack-y chapters. That is why she's gone right? A horrific blimp accident that happened off-screen? Oh, the humanity! And now there's another independent multi-chapter to gum up the works, Seven Seals, a post-apocalyptic, er, I mean season five fic. Now, of the actual one-shots referred to at the beginning of this lost paragraph, most are blatant Tiva, subtle Tiva or angsty Tiva. But don't go thinking all I write is shippy drivel because some are just plain old silly drivel involving Ziva's ugly sweater, cheesesteaks and that nasty bathroom guy. Not Worth Dying Over is my personal favorite, and it's now got some competition for 'sheep's personal favorite' with Conservation of Momentum. I don't like to think of those ones as drivel, but you're smart enough to make up your own mind.

And just to add (because I'm always expecting someone to correct me), I consistently spell it 'Moussad' because I like the idea that it can be both an intelligence agency and a delicious whipped dessert without losing its edge. Mmm...chocolate Moussad. Just make sure you brush and floss!
