Author has written 7 stories for Gakuen Alice.

Announcement Corner.
Little bits to tell.

I apologize, but due to computer difficulties, it seems I won't be able to update Charmed as I've promised. :( I won't fill in the details, but I haven't gotten the time to write during my semestral break because our PC won't work properly. I don't know how soon it'll be fixed, but for now, looks like updates will be postponed. I don't know when I'll be able to put up the next chapter or my new random stories up, so please wait and simply stay tuned. There is always the Author Alert and Story Alert options, and I think that would help, ne? :)

Rosa en Bouton.
Clumsily sophisticated.

Since my pen name is French, most of you probably can't pronounce it right at first. It's pronounced as "ro-sa un bu-ton", simply meaning rose bud. To those who have watched (or know) the anime Maria-sama ga Miteru, my pen name was taken from there. I kind of grew particularly fond of hearing it, so I decided to have it as my alias here. So far through all the changes I've been with, this is the most stable one. ;)

Nevertheless, that is a name I use here for my stories. You are free to call me by my real name, which is Danielle Mari, or if you wish, my nickname Mi-chan. I got it from my second first (hoped that made sense) name when I mixed the letters up and tried to come up with a nickname for myself. (Sort of pointless, but I was bored. Reason enough.) Oh yeah, another reason is because of my insane obsession with Gakuen Alice. I babbled with my classmates and mentioned Mikan, and somehow they started calling me "Mikan"and "Mi-chan" (for those who couldn't get it right at first). So yeah, that's the origin of my most common nickname. ;)

I celebrate my special day every 27th of November (the same as my favorite bishounen and a whole lot of other people!) and currently I am thirteen years of age but I am often mistaken for someone older. -sweatdrop- I get these comments a lot, unfortunately. Oh yeah, did you know that on my eleventh birthday, my cake had the greeting "Happy Birthday Mikan!" instead of my real name? I love my parents and sisters for doing that. Definitely unforgettable. :)

Aside from writing, I'm also interested in illustrative arts, photography, web design, and I'm currently learning flower language since I've gotten an attachment to it. Generally, you could say art is my field whilst my sisters play on the fields of sports and music. I'm the kind of person who would love to explore new things--mostly related to art--and do the things I love filled with inspiration. That excludes studying. :P In contrast though, I'm as much of a lazy person, an example of a walking contradiction. :)

Certified Otaku.
A third of my life.

My favorite manga is none other than Gakuen Alice, and I just totally heart Higuchi Tachibana for creating it. My utmost favorite bishoujo is Sakura Mikan and of course, my favorite bishounen is none other than her partner, Hyuuga Natsume. These two are definitely meant to be, and I don't really care if there's no thrill or not--they make me happy, period. I love this manga's plot, characters, clothes--everything to the core! It keeps me wanting more and that's definitely a major factor for the type of manga I read. ;)

I have began adoring lolita fashion more nowadays and Toboso Yana is to blame, since she's now my favorite artist when it comes to clothing. Kuroshitsuji is my second favorite manga next to Gakuen Alice; all because of Ciel Phantomhive, the awesome plot and quotable lines, and Toboso Yana's very adorable and intricate clothing style. ;)

Oh yeah, since that manga's shounen, some of you may get the wrong impression. I am not a yaoi/yuri/shoujo-ai/shounen-ai fan. Neither am I the boyish type. I prefer straight pairings; I don't have a favorite genre either. Although I have a tendency to like stories with depth, I also love those simple and light stories. A story mixed with both, definitely, finds itself a spot in my favorites list.

My other favorite anime include Pandora Hearts,Clannad, Detective Conan, Lucky Star, xxxHolic, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, Shakugan no Shana, Full Metal Alchemist, Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu, Jigoku Shoujo, Black Cat, Toradora!, and Binchou-tan. Yeah, I know--childish of me to like an anime that concerns charcoal. :))

Kana Ueda, Aya Hirano, Romi Paku, and Rie Kugimiya are my favorite seiyuus, while I find Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles's soundtrack the best so far. I favor Yui Makino's and Maaya Sakamoto's songs most though. ;) I have more Japanese songs in my sound library than the usual American English songs. I don't follow the music trends--I tend to enjoy music best when it's from the soundtrack of an anime series I really like, and that applies to English songs too. :)

I cosplay too, but it's more of a costrip since I don't join in the contests. I used to be enthusiastic about wanting to join them, but eventually I've grown tired of the whole excitement. :)) Nonetheless, going to conventions is a yearly occasion for me. :P

World of Words.
The freedom of expression.

In the Writing Corner...

Currently, The Painter and the Playwright is on hiatus. I posted an author's note at Chapter 8, so you could see why through there. Nevertheless, I really would like to show my gratitude to those people who have understood me regarding this unexpected turn of events. However, my newest story, Charmed, is still on-going. To those who want a clearer, more definite summary of this fic of mine, just read it below. :)

Synopsis: Sakura Mikan enrolls in Alice Academy for her high school education, excited to finally be schoolmates with her long-time best friend, Imai Hotaru. Hoping to start a new image for herself unlike in her middle school days, she begins to show her true energetic and optimistic personality. Her goal is to make her first year in the academy memorable, and with the help of the charm bracelet that carries the lessons and memories she's earned, she isn't far from reaching it. Slowly the bracelet becomes more and more important, but who on earth is giving her the charms?

If you haven't read it, then read! I've only submitted the Prologue, but I promise there's more to come. If you have the time, please do drop in your reviews. They are always appreciated. :) I might probably submit random drabbles/fluff fics/oneshots every now then, so do expect them too. :)

In the Reading Corner...

For reading, I could say that I'm not really the type who would go for something long and deep. Light and easy; probably the best two words that can describe my reading style. I don't read much nowadays, but it's because I'm more of a writer than a reader. I can really go for anything if I'm in the mood, but I'm a huge fan of family-centric stories. :)

I don't like judging stories by the author or the number of reviews. Basically, I'm picky and quite carefree at the same time. Pretty much unpredictable, you can say. :) I'm not a consistent reviewer, to be frank. I only review stories that I really like, and these are the stories in my favorites/alerts list. :)

Connectivity.
Interacting with people.

Well, I used to have countless contacts in my Messenger List. Making friends is harmless, but out of the numerous contacts I've had, only a few really chatted with me. I appreciate the effort, but it's not really that fun anymore. I terminated that past account of mine and have only added the people that really chatted with much frequency with me.

All my accounts in the internet world have been made private. Nothing goes through anything without my approval. If you wish to befriend me and instant-message with me, then how about starting with just private messaging me with FFN first? I wish to establish a steady communication first before you get on my messenger list. I think it's more reasonable that way than just adding me for fun.

I have a cloud (home) in Tumblr and it's guarded by both Star and Trinket. I might post sneak peeks of my stories in Star's room, and pictures in Trinket's book. I'm not desperate to get thousands of pageviews or have my Tumblarity go high so I'm not forcing you to check it out. Just putting it here in case you want to know. :)

The End.
Closing the curtains.

There's nothing more to say, I guess. x) Do feel free to send me a PM by scrolling up and clicking that Send Message link if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or if you just want to befriend me. Do remember to drop off your reviews in my stories--they'll always be appreciated. x3

Hugs and Kisses,
Rosa en Bouton
