Author has written 6 stories for Dead Like Me, Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, X-Men, and Doctor Who. The Icon is Leeland from "Babel Fish", my X-men Fanfiction. If I don't update for a while, it's not because I've given up, It's because I have a really busy life (Work, University ect). The most amount of time I will go with out updating is six weeks, so hold tight if I'm slow. General Info: I'm an 19 year old 2nd year BA HONS (Bachelor Arts Honors) Graphic Design Student at Leeds College of Art and Design. 2008-2011 (What a mouthful that introduction can be...) O I'm also Dyslexic. This isn't an excuse for poor writing but if there is the odd spelling/grammatical mistake in my work then please point out, i like to know when I've mucked up the English language. My spelling and my grammar is enough to send a strong man to drink. I always think: why can't we spell words the way we want to? Like Chaucer and Shakespeare? (But I try to follow the code of Fan Fiction; No one is going to read it if it reads like shit.) I have a sort of cinema in my head. When I think of something, I see it completely visually and I can wander around in it. I used to think everybody did this. I think dyslexia makes you love words. People always say, "Oh, I love books, I love words ... " But I see it from a different angle. People who can read fluently never look at the words; they cannot see the beauty in them. (Or the swirling vortex of black words on white paper!) Sometimes when I write, I can almost feel my brain start to tangle up and I come away feeling knackered and drained. Starting any piece of writing is sometimes a great task. I don't know how to start and organise all the ideas I have floating around in my head. When I write I leave out the odd letter, which isn't so bad because you can still read what I mean. However, I miss out words which makes it harder and sometimes huge chunks of sentences that I think I've written but I clearly haven't. This I don't notice until I read back through it but even then I don't understand what I've written and can't remember what I should have written. I'm both glad and frustrated when people point out my typo's. It shows me what I need to correct but it also leaves me feeling as if I wasn't trying hard enough. When I write I concentrate a 110 per cent but these typo's imply that I wasn't trying hard enough. People ask me why I don't just stop writing if it frustrates me so much and just stick to my art and graphics. I can't, there's simply too much I need to get out to let a thing like dyslexia get in my way. (Peers upwards...that is hell of ALLOT of info there for yah.) O Combined with my Dyslexia I have a AADD (Adult Attention Deficit Disorder). I was diagnosed as of last November (2008) and it took until my university years to be tested. I would never class this as a disability as I know of a hundred reasons (and more) as to why I can use this to my advantage. I'm adaptive and creative, adventurous and I think highly on my feet. I'm rather empathic and great with kids. (This being on the account that when I'm in the same room as my 8 year old cousin, it's hard to tell whose older.) However, there are always challenges. I think without speaking, often interrupting people. Though I don't mean to and I certainly don't intend for it to be rude. I start things on a great whim but sadly they get left unresolved. I daydream, I'm unorganized, procrastinator should be stamped on my forehead and my out look on life in highly half empty at times. But hey, I've got this far... O I've been reading/collecting Marvel comics since I was 8 (The onslaught saga was my first real taste...I've never warmed to Magneto because of that. XD) and watching the cartoons since I was six. I'm known at uni as the walking comic. I also have a love for horror and gay erotica "yaoi". However, as not to offend I always put warnings on my fics if this is involved. Wouldn't want to upset some poor mindless idiot who can not except love in a natural form. (If dolphins can do it...) On top of this I like Harry Potter, Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy, Doctor Who, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, South Park, anything by PZBrite and Charles Dickens ect and so on and so forth. Find me at: Bluemutantfreak.Deviantart.com My favourite Marvel characters would have to be (In no real order...) : Nightcrawler Anole Emma Frost Warlock Cypher Colossus X 23 Wither Hulking Deadpool! Wiccan Northstar Currently Working on: Babel Fish Re write: (The original was up 2006-2008 but it was weak and didn't work out the way I wanted to) It's going to a little bit different from the previous one. Certain characters where missed out and as it was my first major fanfiction, things where bound to go wrong. It's also Alternate Universe/parallel, an Earth I refer to as 42 opposed to 616. (But this is never mentioned in the story; it's just something I wanted to tell you...lame) Writing Marvel is difficult due to the continuous changing of writers/story lines and the constant need to update the time line. (for example, Xavier lost the use of his legs in several different but it has been currently changed to fit in with current events.) Instead of being formed in the 60's, Earth: 42's X-men where formed in the late 80's and their main enemy was the Hellfire Club. I'll cover more of this as the fic goes on but currently it's still in it's infantile stage. (3 years later...deary me.) All this is subject to change but I'm trying to make it less Original Character focused and more focused on the actual events. After all, what's a story with only characters and no plot...sparkly disco ball vampires apparently. (Marvel Comics) … A sequel to my Doctor Who Fan Fic, Catacombs of Snicket.
