Hello! I'm Hikari the Soulweaver!

I am the sort of person who will have random obsessions that can last anywhere from a day to several years, and these obsessions often change very suddenly and for no reason. At the moment, my obsessions revolve around Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragonfable, Death Note, Mononoke, and Bleach.

My current pen name, Hikari the Soulweaver, pulls on my last pen name in that a lot of people online know me by the name Hikari. As for the Soulweaver part, I play the game Dragonfable a lot, and my favorite character class in the game is the Soulweaver (think a combination of a mage, a rogue/thief, and shinigami).

Just so your aware, I have a tendency to change my pen name on occasion, so here's a list of my past names in order:

2) Fire in my Eyes (I was obsessed with Avatar the Last Airbender for the longest time with I first joined this site. I quite like this name, even now)
3) Aiedail Morning Star (Enter my obsession with the Inheritance Cycle. Enough said)
4) Akira'kitana (And we have my short-lived obsession with the Kiesha'ra series. Akira'kitana was the last name of a horrificly-characterized OC [that I only now realize was a complete Mary-Sue] in one of several crappy Kiesha'ra fanfictions that I wrote)
5) Phantom of Dragons (I was obsessed with Phantom of the Opera, and I was always drawing dragons. Simple enough)
6) GuardianOfTheMorningStar (Had this name for a long time. Not sure where it came from, though I was probably going back to my Eragon obsession...)
7) ForeverDreamingBeforeTheDawn (This one came from the Evanescence song 'Before the Dawn')
8) Dragon of Kirentha (Again, the whole dragon thing. Kirentha is the name of a fictional country in the book series I have been trying to write since I was 13)
9) Hikari no Ryuu (The romaji spelling for the Japanese for "Dragon of Light")

Here's a little bit about me:

Name: Emily. Yes, it is my real name. My last name, however, shall remain classified. I have also been called Hikari, Dragon, Dragon-sama, Kirentha-sama, Ryuu, Guardian, Kitenza, and Kari. Call me what you will. It matters not. Also, please note that I do not refer to myself as "-sama." I'm not that self-centered... _

Age: 19. Like I care you know how old I am.

Current Location: I am originally from Orlando, FL (no, I will not provide you with free tickets to Universal, Disney, or any other them park that's around there) and I still call it home. However, I currently spend the majority of my time in Decatur, GA for school.

A Short Rant About Myself: I don't like people. Just thought I'd get that out there. However, I do not hate people, either. I just don't like being around others all that much. Yes, that means I am antisocial, to an extent, but in reality I'm just not comfortable around others. In general, I find humans to be pushy, selfish, self-centered, greedy animals with little or no sense of dignity, self-respect, or respect towards others. Of course, I am well aware that that does not apply to everyone. That opinion is just the one I have gathered through experience and observation.

I also judge people on an individual basis. I don't let first impressions get the better of me; if someone were to try to talk to me, I would get to know them a bit, then judge them. Never before. My opinion can change with the slightest occurrence, however.

Contrary to what one may believe upon reading the above, I am not a mean person. I may not like people, but I am not, by any means, someone who will be rude or cruel. I am very polite, and, more often then not, friendly. I am just very good at hiding my true opinion. Don't be fooled, but also don't think everything about me is a facade. If it is genuine, you will know. If it is not, you won't know until I start to keep my distance.

I am an observer. I do not act, I do not take part. I only watch and listen. I stand on the sidelines, and take in everything, even if I appear as though I am not paying attention. Even if I am reading, I am always listening, whether you want me too, or not.

Tempting Fate- (Dragonfable) After the mega Darkness Dragon is destroyed and the light returned to the world of Lore, the forces of good are left to pick up the pieces of what is left behind. A mortally wounded Sepulchure is taken under the care of the side of good on the insistence of Kael, the hero of Falconreach, that because he had helped defeat the ultimate Darkness Dragon, it was only fair that the debt be repaid in some form. Rated M for cursing, violence, and eventual sexual content. NEXT CHAPTER 75% COMPLETE

Wielder of Souls- (Dragonfable/Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) Ed, intending to use his own Gate to bring Al back, finds that the Truth has other plans. In exchange for returning his brother’s body and soul to Amestris, Ed is thrown into Lore, a world that is, in his eyes, completely backwards. There, he meets Kael, an experienced Dragon Mage and Soulweaver. He is determined to find a way back to Amestris, but with the chaotic and often nonsensical laws of magic governing Lore, he finds himself in way over his head. Rated T for violence and cursing. Himitsu Shinu- (Mononoke) The Kusuriuri has lived for centuries, kept alive by the power of the Sword of Exorcism. He wanders the Earth, remaining hidden, slaying mononoke as he comes across them. But as time goes on, the mononoke grow stronger, and he can feel his power weakening. It will not be long before he meets his end. Meanwhile, an FBI agent by name of David Burke has stumbled upon a string of strange occurrences that span many decades, all involving gruesome murders, eyewitnesses claiming to being attacked by vengeful spirits, and a strange man with a painted face. He believes the man with the painted face is responsible for the murders, and he is determined to find the truth behind it all. Rated T for violence, lots of blood, and character death. Et Ainsi Nous Allons- (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles/Phantom of the Opera) Syaoran, Fai, Kurogane, and Mokona have returned to Clow Country after a year's absence to find it drastically changed. An incurable plague has hit, attacking King Touya, as well as the majority of the population. Sakura is unaffected and remembers there are still a few feathers floating within the hundreds of worlds. She hopes that the power of one of the feathers can eradicate the plague and has called upon her friends for aid in the search. Their destination: Earth. More specifically, Paris, France, 1877 AD. Rated T for minor cursing, potential violence, possible character death, and general angst. ON HIATUS

The Eye's Reflection- (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles/my own book series) A retelling of the story, but with an extra character thrown in. Tysan is is Elf-Shapeshifter Hybrid with an imbalance in his magic power that is so out of control that it cost him his own life. Resurrected by the gods of his world, he is given the task of seeking out a disruption in the elemental and magic balance of the universe, and correct the problem. He arrives at the feet of the Dimensional Witch, Yuuko, terribly weakened and with a body that is nearly falling apart. He is soon sent on a journey with four humans, the likes of whom he has never seen before, and with no idea what he is doing or if he will ever be able to return home again. Rated M for violence, a fair amount of blood, plenty of angst, and eventual sexual content (yaoi-style). This story will likely never be published on this site or any other, unless I somehow finish the book series this story crosses over into.

(No Title Yet)- (Firefly/Dragonfable) Word is getting around that the Alliance has discovered a strange new power source and are planning to use it as a weapon against any possible dissenters. The crew of Serenity are hired to find it and, if possible, steal it. However, they have no idea what is in store for them, especially when they discover exactly what the weapon is, and what it could be used for. "The one with a grave for a name took life and gave death. You lost your Weaver to the darkness so that he could bring back what was his." No rating yet. It is likely that this will never be finished.

(No Title Yet)- (How to Train Your Dragon) A retelling of the story, with a twist. Dragons are indeed terrorizing the people of Burk. However, they have leaders: a race of humanoid dragons with the gifts of magic and human speech. The deadliest of them is the one the humans have nicknamed "Nightfury." But when the Nightfury's son botches his first solo raid mission, the consequences cause things to spiral out of control. No rating yet. It is likely that this will never be finished.

On Other Sites

All is Silence- (Inuyasha) Futuristic AU. The year is 2684 AD. Kagome is a genetic researcher sent to a remote facility on the moon to work with genetically engineered specimens created from combining DNA from animals and microbes found on Mars with humans. One of them is kept heavily sedated for reasons unknown, and Kagome doesn't understand why such a beautiful creature is treated like a mindless thing.
