Hello, everyone! My pen name is Reiko Katsura! It's a pleasure to meet you all!

A Little About Me: I'm a young writer (eighteen years old) strongly motivated to bettering my craft. I really want to become a better writer, and writing Fan Fiction has become a sort of "practice" for me. It gets me writing (joyfully) on a constant basis, and I enjoy doing it. I also love writing because I lack verbal articulation. It's a great way to express myself when speech fails me. I enjoy reading fantasy and fiction novels. I also love reading non-fiction books about my many interests, self-empowerment, and writing. I've been studying the Japanese language for about two years, and I hope to one day travel to Japan. I'm a Scorpio, my element is Water, my zodiac animal is the Lamb, and my favorite color is purple. I'm a "slow-paced" person, introverted, a bit reclusive, and easily confused. Thinking too much hurts my brain, and so I just go with things, usually. I love music-- Rock, Metal, J-Pop/Rock, Classical, and Soundscapes. I'm a city girl, an impulsive buyer, a tea-drinker, a sweater-hogger, a chopstick-holder, a glasses-wearer, a slow-walker, and a horrible cook. I'm messy, disorganized, often lost, a hater of mornings, and emotionally-disjointed. My goal in life (or one of them, rather) is to find myself, however cliche that may seem. Some other goals: achieve time management skills, become a professional writer (or something relating to writing), learn to draw/paint on a professional level, incorporate my interests into a career, fall in love (and get married), raise a family, adopt a kid, learn to cook, and etc. I suffer from HPD (Heavy Procrastination Disorder), anxiety, and something my councilor likes to call "Dysthymia"-- whatever that is. I love York Peppermint Patties, I'm scared of the dark, and I'm Knockturnal. My mind's ability to wander is almost dangerous, I can't multi-task, I have the attention span of a five year old, my memory is utter crap, I bite my nails, I'm the fifth child of six kids, I'm insensitive, and I laugh at the smallest things. Nice to meet you!

Interests/HobbiesWriting, reading, drawing, painting (watercolors), Crafts (Knitting, Origami, fashion, etc), anime/manga, Japan/Japanese, languages, and learning new things, day dreaming, sleeping, volleyball, shopping, collecting books/manga, being lethargic, browing the net, collecting/grathering stuff--period.

Dislikes: Math, science, numbers (they confuse me), being around a lot of people, cigarette smoke, judgmental people, rude people, know-it-alls, homophobes, carrots (most veggies, actually), cleaning, going to shcool, waking up early, doing homework, when people try to analyze me, when people assume things about me, people telling me what to do, rainy days, and milk.

11-29-09: Hello, everyone. To those not in the Harry Potter fandom, yes, I am alive! I just wanted to point out that I broke my promise and haven't updated Hogwarts, An Orphanage (HP), Driving Lessons (HP), and Devil's Snare (ES21). I've been really busy with this years upcoming fests. Good thing, to you HP ficcers, is that I'll have a nice load of new fics uploaded to this site by the time the season is over! As soon as I finish with my fests (the last one being HP Valensmut--Feb) I'll continue working on my chapters. Actually, the next chapter for Hogwarts, An Orphanage is already nearly finished. Hopefully I can just finish that one up, beta it, and have it ready to upload sometime soon. To the Eyeshield 21 ficcers...I am so sorry! I've been neglecting ES21 completely. I will continue Devil's Snare as soon as I am capable of it. That said: Naruto. Mentally In Love is discontinued indefinitely. Basically, I quite hate it. If I ever start that story line again (and I want to, oh so badly) it will be re-written and set up quite differently. I took part in a Naruto Role Play over the summer (a vigorous one) and learned quite a lot about the Naruto characters. Gaara, to be more specific. I don't like the way I portrayed Gaara in MiL. At all. Even Naruto is quite bad. I really need to re-work that. That's about it, I suppose. Much thanks to my readers, new and old =D I don't reply much these days, but I read every one of your reviews and I truly love them all. Thanks for the support. I'm still working hard to be a better writer (in fan fiction and in general), and I hope it shows in my more recent stories. See you all soon.

9-12-09: Good news: I got my computer back! Bad news: I'm still busy as hell. I will be updating HaO, DL, and DS about once a month until things with school (SATs and college searching) settle down. I'm also taking part in quite a few HP fests, so... yeah. I'll upload the stories I've written for those fests up here as soon as I can. I'm considering not taking "I Hate You" up again. It's lost its purpose, and quite frankly, I don't know what to do with it. The Naruto Yaoi Festival is coming to and end! The Wrap Up is on the 15th, so check things out! Ciao.

8-14-09: It's official: My laptop is broken. All my fics are located on that computer, so there is no way I can update until I get it back (which, the guy from Best Buy told me, would be in 2-3 weeks) I'm SO sorry! I will update HaO, DL, and DS as soon as I get my computer back. Sorry. Gah, I've been saying that so often...

8-7-09: I'm tearing down "Mentally In Love" and "Cut Up Angels". MiL because 1) I hate it and 2) I had an awesome beta tear the fic limb from limb and pinpoint everything that's so terribly wrong with it (which I stupidly tried to ignore). I'm going to start that one from fresh. Don't know when, though. Sorry, readers. Your reviews were all really amazing and inspiring. I'm just really trying to clean up my writing and my profile. Cut Up Angels because I only have the first chapter, and I want to finish the story for a fest. As soon as I'm finished with it, I'll have uploaded here, as well as the other loads of fics I'm writing for fests (which I've come to love so much!) Once again, sorry!

8-4-09: I'll be starting updates on "Hogwarts, An Orphanage", "Driving Lessons", and "Devils Snare", soon-- as promised (as soon as I get the charger to my laptop fixed which, unfortunately, the half written next chapters are in). The updates will be slow. I just finished writing 20k of my fan fic for ficfinishing, as well as a 20k fic for hp_prisonerfest. Anyways! Sorry for the long delay.

7-15-09: I've gotten Beta-readers to tear apart my Naruto Fic "Mentally In Love" and my Harry Potter Fic "I Hate You, Truly." Both fics are in some serious need of editing. It was my mistake to start them without a Beta. Both were two of my firsts. Though I think I've improved quite a lot since then, I'm still a young writer and am still learning and improving. And so, I solemnly swear, to never post anything on this site until it has been beta-ed.

7-7-09: I won't be updating until about August 1st because, basically, I'm pretty busy. I have to finish my H/D fic for ficfinishing. I'm also busy getting members and participants to the Summer Naruto Yaoi Fest (NaruYaoi_Fest). If you're interested in being an artist, author, viewer, or judge-- head over! We need more people. Is anyone else going to be participating in the HP Mental Health Fest? Well, sign ups start on July 18th, I believe. See you there! Anyways, sorry for the delay and see you soon! BTW: Please note that as soon as I start again, the chapters will be updated only once a week.

6-22-09: You've probably noticed, but I'm taking a break from all of my current WIP's. I've been working on another branch of fics for a while now, and hope to have all of those completed by the start of fall September/October. I will continue working on "Mentally In Love", "Expecting", and "I Hate You, Truly I Do", come October/November. Sorry for the long wait.

TWILIGHT:

My motivation to write Twilight Fan fiction has been depleted. There is nothing left. Not a single spark.

You can pretty much assume now that all my Twilight Fan Fics are officially "Discontinued" (or at least indefinitely). I don't see myself writing Twilight fan fiction for a very, very long time. I don't think I can even stomach reading it at this point. Bella/Edward bore me to tears.

Update: I have now switched over the wolves. Yes, ladies and gents. I've become Team Jacob! (I still like the Vampires. I just don't like Edward anymore.) Jacob is now the love of my life. If I write a Twilight fan fic in the near future, it will probably be Jacob/Bella. Better than Edward/Bella, but not by much. I hate Bella. She'd already become annoying in the books, but Kristen Stewert completely ruined her for me.

:What I hate in Fan Fiction:

- When authors do not write the OTP's and main pairings of the fic at the very beginning. Do Not Do That. It is so annoying to kinda be into a fic, get to chapter 10, and then Bam! Harry and Ginny are together. EW. EW. EW. EW. I don't care how bloody well written your fic is, or how interesting the plot. I do not, and will never, read Harry/Girl (unless it's either Narcissa or Bellatrix, and even that would be rare), canon characters (except Hermione/Ron, but only as a side pairing) or OC's. I can't stand it. And if you don't want to reveal the OTP, then at least have the courtesy of saying whether or not the story will be Slash, Het, or whatever...
