Alright, my name is Curtis, Curt for short, and I used to write little stories for this site a while back. It was a passing hobby, what can I say. Now I just beta read for those who want it and, since not many people trust me with their stories for some reason, I'm not on this site much, if ever. My interests have changed since a few years back when I used to write, and to be totally honest I can't stand reading stories by other people just for fun anymore. Unless the story is absolutely flawless, I tend to pick out every faulty detail I can, perhaps a result from my creative writing class a year back, or my general perfectionist attitude. Anyway, long story short, reading fanfics is more of a chore than an entertaining activity now, so I just don't do it. It's a depressing thought. I also don't post anymore becuase I'm too self-conscious to even sit down and write, even though I have everything I need to get the job done. Hell, at one point I had the entire plot laid out for my one story on Soul Calibur, which was going to be an epic story I promise you, and yet I only got the first chapter done...what does that tell you? Anyway, to all those who liked my stories and urged me to continue, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I also say I'm sorry because a lot of you really sounded anxious for me to get the last chapter of An Unexpected Event out and It's already been like 3 years since the last post. One day, I'll finish that story, I promise, but by then most of my readers will probably have forgotten about me and my story, and cute little pregnant Hinata. lol. Anyway, it was fun while it lasted, but now, I think my writing days are pretty much over. I will probably always regret leaving Hinata eternally pregnant and Katsu and Saitou without the story they truly deserved, but hey, what's life without a little regret, yeah?

Okay, sooo, as you can see in the small profile above, I'm 14 and I'm a middl--wait, sorry, i forgot...I'm a freshman now...--high school student. One of my favorite pastimes is watching the sky as the clouds drift along, a habit that seems to take over at the worst possible times, during Algebra for instance. I hate school, math in particular, and people who think that they're better than everyone else, so essentially most of my school. I'm a huge sucker for romance and, from what I've been told, I can write it fairly well (i kinda disagree though, I'm still just a pretty mediocre writer). Well, that pretty much sums me up. Check out my fics while your here. There not half bad, believe it or not.

Hey, whats up people! I'm back again for a minute to make a little announcement. I just want to say sorry for not keeping my promise...I said I would update sooner than I did last time..and...well...I guess I just got lazy again...hehe...anyway, there is something that i want to do to make up for it...so I'll give you a little hint as to when the next chapter of An Unexpected Event will be put up...lets just say that you'll want to check back for a nice Christmas present (...um..if you don't celebrate Christmas...then just check back on December 25...okay?). My god, I can't believe how bad my grammar has gotten...I just read over the last chapter of An Unexpected Event and wow...I'm just in shock right now. I'm sorry if the stupid mistakes that I was too careless to correct made the reading hard on you guys...next time I'll be sure to perfect my grammar for the next chapter...

Update 2/1/08

Hey, happy new year guys, I'm back once again...with nothing to offer...I know that I've probably lost most of my readers and just about nobody is still reading any of my stories due to lost faith in the fact that I will ever update again...and I can't blame you...to be honest, if I was reading a person's fic and they ended up not updating for...months...I'd be kind of pissed...

Anyway, I'm finally in my creative writing class and I have to say it's pretty awesome. My teacher is this really awesome if not overly...animated? maybe? whatever, he's cool and a really motivating person (he's also a really good writer. Troy Williams everybody. You see any books by him, buy em'...lol). I've actually had some really strong...urges I guess you could say to begin writing the next/final chapter of An Unexpected Event...they were just urges mind you, nothing more...Sadly i can't really say when that chapter will be up so...if you hate me now, get ready to hate me some more...T_T. Have faith though, I will get that chapter up, I swear!

Oh and I know that I'm a total ass for saying that the chapter would be up on Christmas. I really meant to do it, but another story came up for another site, so i started to do that (which i didn't finish either...god I'm hopeless), then I'd lost interest in AUE and then there were mid-terms and i just got attacked by distractions and school work and I just really messed up...if any of you really care about AUE then you must really hate my living guts right now...T_T

One more thing, I changed my name again, but this one is final I swear. I changed it because this is the pen name I use in my creative writing class so I'm trying to get used to it. Last change, really!

Update 5/16/08

Okay, its been months since I last entered something on this website...as a matter of fact last night was the first time I've even visited this site since the last update to my profile, which is above this one. If you've noticed, this entry has not started off with the usual happy-go-lucky style that I usually have on my profile. Yes, there is a reason for my lack of peppiness this entry...actually there are several reasons attributing to my rather pissed of mood. One of those reasons is the straight forward fact that I have been neglecting my responsibilities as a writer on this website and have lied to my readers (you guys) many, many times. If you haven't noticed, literally EVERY time I say that I will try to get the next chapter of one of my stories out as soon as possible, I come up with some excuse to put it off because I am too much of a lazy prick to get up, move to a computer, and type up what would likely be the last chapter to An Unexpected Event.

Speaking of which, here's my next excuse. Believe it or not, that writting class that I was so excited about because I thought it would get those good ol' creative juices flowin' actually sucked me dry of creativity, left me without the will or want to write, and made reading other people's stories a rather arduous task. So, yeah, major backfire there, huh?

Okay, I've gotten that out of my system. One last thing though...I refuse to promise anything related to finishing my story anymore, because as you know that will only lead to another excuse, and I really don't like getting the reviews that say "Hey, didn't you say the next chp. wouldn't take very long?" No offense, but that's not a review that's a question and plus it makes me feel like a total ass all over again, pardon the language. So yeah, just don't expect any promises from me anymore...

One final thing before I go in a corner and start cutting myself, jk. I am an active beta reader now. When I say active, I mean everyday, 3-10 pm on the weekdays and 10 am-11 pm on the weekends. This I can promise you. Honestly, I just found out about the betareader thing last night when I made my less-than-glamorous return to this site, and it sounds pretty cool. So, yeah, if any of you guys need a little help with your stories, or you just want a second or third opinion before you publish it, I'm pretty much always free and willing to help out. So bring it on! Yeah!! okay, thats enough...

Update 7/10/08

Uh, hey guys. I'm not entirely sure that anyone is still reading my stories or keeping up with this page, but incase someone is I have a few announcements to make. First off, I'm currently in the brainstorming stage of a new story. This story will be a bit of a change from what you guys have seen from me in the past: This story will be the first story that isn't based on Naruto. Pause for your shock Next up, this one will be written in first-person POV instead of my normal thrid-person style of writing. And finally, this will also be my first story featuring OCs as the main characters. Oh, and as for the series that this story will be based on, it'll be a SoulCalibur fic based on the Third installment of the series, Soulcalibur III. (also it'll be as a sort of tribute to the upcoming Soulcalibur IV, which I am really looking forward to _) The story will feature several characters from the main cast as well as the aforementioned OCs, which will be the main characters. One final thing, this story will have much to do with my favorite character, Tira, and will hopefully become my first 100,000 word fic. (but that may be a bit much to ask for -_-). WARNING: IF YOU DON'T LIKE TIRA, PLEASE, JUST STAY AWAY. I've seen how you Tira-haters work, and it's pretty disgusting...

Anyway, I'm sure that some of my readers are a little skeptical about me and a new story on account of my irregular posts. On this story I plan to have at least the first five chapters completed before I even post the story and from there I'll add a new chapter once a week.

(i.e.-Ch.1/July 10th, Ch.2/July 17th, etc.)

Anyway, i'm sure that some of you are wondering, "Well gosh, what about 'An Unexpected Event'?" Well, here's the deal, sometime between chapter posts for my new fic, I'll use the momentum from it to finally complete the last chapter of 'An Unexpected Event'. Meaning, since I'll already be in the writing spirit, I'll use my extra time between chapters to come up with the last one for this fic.

So, yeah, this should be a pretty big summer for me, huh? I've been brainstorming on my new fic since before school got out, and I'm just about ready to start on the first chapter (I've technically already got the first part of chapter 1 done. I used it for a writing assignment in school. lol). So yeah, sometime around the end of July, hopefully on the release date for SC4 July 29th, I should have the bio-page and the first chapter up. Uh, yeah, see you guys then.

Update 7/18/08

Woo! Whats up everybody? Just eleven days until SoulCalibur IV is released, and with it my new story! Honestly, I don't think anybody is really even reading these little profile updates anymore, so I guess I'm just writing this to please myself...

Anyway, I have yet to finish the first chapter of the story, which I think will be titled A Tale of Thieves, but I will be done with it by the end of the night. I'm really just waiting to do it until after dinner (aprox. 6:00 - 6:30 P.M.), because, you know, I'm lazy like that...but yeah, I'm feeling really good about this story, so those of you who actually read my profile updates, and look forward to my stories, should be pleasantly surprised by the quality of this new one. I finally worked up the courage to go back and read over my other stories...and man...you guys must have really low standards...becuase they just didn't sit very well with me..

I mean, I just picked a random chapter of The Bravest of the Brave, which just so happened to be Ch. 2, and right in the first paragraph I found several writing errors, gramatical errors, and basically the sentence structure seemed really weak to me. I really think, no, I know I could do better than that, so in this new story I plan to show you guys what I can really do, and why I was one of my writing teacher's favorite writers. (not to brag of course)

Just one more thing, there will be plenty of OCs in this new story of mine and remember it features Tira as one of the main characters, so if you don't like her please just keep your mouth closed or don't read. Please.

Update 7/29/08

Okay, happy Tuesday to you all. Today is the day that Soul Calibur 4 comes out (which I can't get until next week..) and also the release date of my aforementioned story based on the Soul Calibur universe. Unfortunately due to some minor distractions (vacation) the story won't be out until tomorrow. But on a positive side, I think it'll be worth it.

I can already tell that it's in a whole different league from the other four stories that i've posted. A few new things that I'm going for is length, quality, and OCs. I'm aiming for my chapters to be around 2,000 - 3,000 words each which is good, and I'm also going back and reading over my story this time for quality, which I probably should've been doing since the very beginning. I'm also trying my hand at OCs this time instead of having my story star main characters that already exist in the real thing. I feel that by dong this I'm making my story more my own than a true fanfic, you know. But yeah, if you're into OCs then check the story out tomorrow, there's plenty of them in it...or there will be as it progresses...

But yeah, the fic will definately be up tomorrow, I don't care how long it takes...and remember NO TIRA HATERS. That brings me to another point...in regards to SC4..please disregard anything that has to do with Tira in that game...Story, Style, Personality, Crit. Finisher...everything...she's still my favorite and all, but they really screwed up on her this time around and it really hurt my set up for my new story so please just pretend that my Tira and SC4 tira are two completely different people..thanks

Well thats it people, be ready for the story tomorrow, I hope it'll live up to my standards in the long run...

Update 8/7/08

Well peoples, it looks like I have a little explaining to do...

I realize that I've probably already been labled as a liar and unreliable, but hey, what can I say, it's just who I am...I said in my last update (above) that the new story would be out, and even though I know that not many people pay attention to what I write here, I still have to say that I'm sorry. I said that the story would be out on the 29th, and then on the 30th. Neither of those promises were followed up on...and again, I'm sorry. But now I'm glad to say that the first chapter is complete, and despite a bit of...dullness...it's still lookin pretty good. At 2,900 words so far (counting some Author's Notes at the end) I have to say that I'm pretty proud of what I've done.

Though it is definately better than what I've been writing, it does still have it's flaws. I'm a little disappointed to say that the first chapter wasn't as exciting as I'd originally thought it would be. The only really great part that I myslef enjoyed was the beginning. I'm not saying that the rest isn't worth reading, it's just not as great as I'd expected.

I'm also a little worried that people might get lost or confused about the characters...or what exactly is going on at that point in the story. It is just the first chapter after all so there will be a few blank spots if you know what I mean, but those would be filled in by the third chapter at the latest, probably by the end of the 2nd. But anyway, if you guys have any questions at all don't hesitate to ask in a review or PM or something. I'll answer any and all questions at the beginning of the chapter (unless it'll be answered in the chapter itself).

Well, thats it. Just remember a few key things:

1) The chapter IS done so don't give up on me!

2) Tira is a big part of the story so if YOU + TIRA = BADNESS just don't read okay? For your benefit and my own.

3) The story is filled with OCs! The two, true main characters are OCs. Just remember that.

Update 8/8/08

Whats up guys. This is just a little post that I felt like putting up. It looks like an Unexpected Event is still my most popular story (not a surprise), but you know, the more I look at it the more I want to just go back and rewrite the whole thing. Just go back, start from scratch and follow an actual guideline instead of making stuff up as I go. I'm seriously considering doing it sometime after Tale of Theives has time to get going. The only thing is that I'm a little worried about what you guys would think if I did that. Would you love it? Hate it? Say "Wow this still sucks..."?

Well if anybody is reading this, let me know what you think about the idea. I'm also thinking about getting rid of the other three stories on here too and maybe getting back to them later (probably years later). But yeah, just thought I'd throw the idea at you guys, see what you thought.

Oh, and even though I said I that I was done with the first chapter of the new story, I decided to just wait until tomorrow to actually post it. I don't know, Saturday just seems like a good reading day to me.

Update 8/9/08

Well, today's the big day! The new story is up and I have to say that I'm pleased with myslef. I have to say that I don't expect to get many readers for the first few chapters but once the 10,000 word mark is broken (around chapter 4-5) I expect a little attention even though Soul Calibur isn't the most popular category out there (at 949 stories right now). I do have a few things to say though. I did decide to change the story's title to Soul Calibur: Journey of a Theif. Mostly because it sounds cooler and fits the overall story better than the last title.

Umm...I guess thats it for now...happy reading! :D
