Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter. Okay, I'm sure most of you are convinced that I have, as the saying goes, kicked the bucket, but, I assure you, I have not. I have, however, gotten a job to pay for college and a car so my time to write has been extremely limited. However, I am making an honest effort. Really, I am. It was part of my New Year's Resolution to write more...so I'm trying. But between 30+ hours a week at my job and two college courses twice a week, I might not get around to writing as often as I'd like to. With that being said, I'm sorry if updates are slow. For those of you who haven't noticed, I am absolutely obsessed with the story of James and Lily. Yes, everyone knows what happens in the end; they eventually fall in love, get married, have Harry, and then get murdered. But what I personally care about, and what I adore writing about, is how they get to that ending, all the stuff in between. ~wicked.witchy.princess (Updated 1/22/09) P.S. Questions? IT IS FINISHED! =) The sequel is in progress, though. I've got a couple paragraphs for chapter 1. Woo hoo! I plan to go around editing it once I find the motivation, because it could definitely use some changes, and I know I've got mistakes. It's not really my first priority, however. Overall, though, I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out. It's a little more depressing than I'd planned for it to be, but after all, it takes place while Voldemort is coming into power; there is a reason everyone in the wizarding world fears to even speak his name. Bad things are bound to happen, people are not going to be all happy and cheerful constantly. It contains VERY mature content, though, and consider this a warning: there's murder, sex, cussing, abuse, eating disorders, cutting...all very real things that happen in our very real world. There is no happy ending to this story, but there is a sequel. Diary of a Mad Witch: Chapter 11 was posted 1/13/09. This story is VASTLY different than UtS. However, it isn't all going to be happy and fluffy the whole time, and yes, it seems like one of the silly, cliche Lily-gets-madeover stories, but there's actually quite a bit more to it than just that. As the story progresses, as Lily and the others all grow up, the content is going to change. Again, as stated above, it takes place while Voldemort is beginning his reign of terror, so it isn't always happy-go-lucky group of friends, James and Lily fall in love, get married and have Harry, and WHAM! There's a happy ending. Like everyone's life, it's complicated, sometimes messy and hurtful. And like above, we all know there isn't a happy ending. They do both die, but, again, like stated above, it's about the stuff that happens before. | |||||||||||
