Hi, Dragonwannabe here.
Obviously, I love dragons. I'm thinking of changing my last name to Dragon--someday. (Some one said that would make me seem retarded, but Dragon is a real last name. Anyone ever hear of the musician Darryl Dragon?) That isn't the Chinese horoscope I was born under though--I'm really a Sheep which astrologically doesn't get along with dragons.
I started watching Naruto because of my preteen daughter. She was a big fan and she's the one who turned me on to fan fiction. Now I watch anime and read manga all the time. Now she's into Kingdom Hearts. I watched her play the video games. I liked the first one best. She was very upset when I didn't immediately like Roxas (he and Axel are her favorites).
Inuyasha is my all time favorite. I still read the manga, but I wish the anime had a better ending. I'm hoping they do another movie when the manga ends to end the anime, but it probably won't happen.
Other anime I've watched and liked in no particular order are: Bleach, Trinity Blood, Kodocha, Case-closed, Eureka 7, Tactics, DN Angel, Getbackers, Samurai Champloo, Paranoia Agent (although I like the opening music, I hate the video that goes with it), Avatar (this isn't technically anime but I think its one of the better done American cartoons), Spiral (By the way--Who the hell are the blade children?), Chobits, Wedding Peach, Fruits basket ( I wish they'd waited to do the anime until the end of the series), Shaman king, Full metal alchemist, Ultramaniac, Brain-powered, World of Narue, Ah my Goddess, Rurouni Kenshin (lame ending), Angelic layer, Kalaido star, Hikaru no go, Saint Tail, Pretear, The mythical detective Loki Ragnarok, Kyo Kara Maoh (although I'm not as into shonen-ai or yaoi stuff, this one is still kinda cute), Xxxholic, Shonen onmyouji, Shana, One piece (now that Funimation's taken it over, I find I miss the old voices), Full metal panic, Naruto Shipuuden, Ghost hunt. (Since I got a DSL line I've became an avid Youtube watcher of English subbed Japanese anime.) I like them all, but I prefer fantasy.
Manga I've read and enjoyed in no particular order are: Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach, Trinity Blood, Fruits Basket, Rurouni Kenshin, From far away, W Juliet, Ouran High School Host Club, Ghost Hunt, Meru Puri, Xxxholic, Hands off, Mink, Dream saga, Saint Tail, Pretear, Genshiken, Her majesty's dog, Kagetora, Beauty pop, Alice 19th, Absolute boyfriend, Xxxholic, Ghost hunt, Death note, Magical x miracle, Kitchen princess, Mars, Wallflower, Hana Kimi, Pearl pink ( I seem to prefer shoujo titles).
My daugher and I played Naruto and Hinata in the Sims. We were trying to get a Naruto, Jr., but Hinata kept giving birth to girls. We ended up with 2 single girls then two sets of twins before we got a boy. Unfortunately, the twins were too close together. Hinata died of exhaustion.
My daughter thinks people will hate it if I bring my own characters in my stories. The only reason I've thought of this is because there just aren't enough good female characters. I'm going to give it a try soon and see what reactions I get.

PS: I've discovered something for those who want chapters quicker. The longer I wait per chapter the more reviews I get. And according to my daughter, the resident expert on fanfiction, she won't read a story until it has a lot of reviews. I'm also becoming quite addicted to reviews (my daughter calls me a review whore--I completely ressemble that remark). I want more. I don't care if it's just one word. Please give me lots of encouragement.
PSS: I do pay attention to reviews, and try to respond to those that seem to require a response. Someone once pointed out something that I'd completely forgotten, so I made sure to address it in my next chapter. I don't just write these stories for my own pleasure, but in the hopes that other people will enjoy my ideas, too.
PSSS. I'm thinking of switching from Naruto to Harry Potter because those stories get more reviews. (Can you tell I've become obsessed?)
PSSSS. I'm thinking of writing some original fiction on Fictionpress.net. I was writing a story last summer for my daughter to illustrate since she's into drawing. It's definately Japanese manga influenced. I might work on that one sometime soon.
