Where do I begin? Let me start of by saying that I didn’t start of hating her. Sure, my OMGILUVROSE side hated her guts because she got to kiss the Doctor, but with an open mind I can say that she had potential to be a good, well-rounded character. But then she goes all ‘hm let’s see how much I can flirt with the Doctor until he gets a hint’ or ‘maybe he’ll forget about Rose and start dating me’. Really? Then, she was so predictable. Her character was very static, and she also didn’t seem to get what the Doctor taught her, you know the whole pacifist thing? To me only Rose and Donna really got his pacifistic ways. But anyway, it’s strange because she was the only one who came from a well off family, had a good career ahead of her, and was very intelligent book-wise, yet she was also the most useless. While Rose and Donna came up with ideas on their own ad started piecing things together without the Doctors help, Martha was always just following his orders all the time. I’ll admit that some times she stood her ground, but most of the time? Useless. Now, later on I liked her a bit more, but only a bit. She was still relatively annoying and useless. What bugs me the most is people pair her with the Doctor. SHE GETS ENGANGED. He blatantly ignores her advances. He tells her that he doesn’t want a romantic relationship with her. He just wants Rose right now. She didn’t get that all he needed was a friend, not a lover. She pushed too hard and didn’t realize how much her advances hurt him. She was really quite selfish and the Doctor doesn't really dig selfishness. Premarital Sex/Teenage Pregnancy: Ok, I may sound like a stick in the mud, but I’m totally for abstinence. I don’t understand how teenagers can just give up something so important so recklessly. Not only that, but they’re doing it without protection. How can they live with themselves if they get pregnant? How can you take such a huge risk? If you’re not ready to have a child, then don’t have sex. Condoms and birth control aren’t one-hundred percent. You can still get pregnant. My mom was on birth control, but she still got pregnant. By acting so recklessly, you not only put yourself in danger but your unborn child, someone that shouldn’t have to be punished for your mistake. I know that it may seem hard, especially if you’re in high school and surrounded by sex and drugs and the like. Believe me, I know. But you have to exercise control. A guy doesn’t look for a long-term relationship with someone who’ll spread their legs for them the second they ask. Being abstinent gives you something to look forward to when you get married. Aside from spending your life with the man or women you love unconditionally, you get to share with them the one thing you treasure most. If your boyfriend pressures you to have sex then he’s not in the relationship for you. He’s in it for the physical aspects.I guess you can say this because of my fear of being used and ending up alone. I want to marry someone who loves me for me, not how well I fuck. I wouldn’t be able to handle being used so vulgarly. My mind would just break down. I know this seems weird, since I write about premarital sex all the time, but that’s what I believe. It’s vaguely insulting when someone thinks I’m very experienced since I write things like this. I’m not. I’m a virgin, and damned proud.
