Author has written 35 stories for Digimon. For those of you who already know me, I don’t need an introduction. For those who are newcomers… well, I’m Crazyeight. Probably all you need to know really. Not too inclined to go around giving away information about myself to complete and total strangers until I’ve gotten to know you better. Anyway, as I’m sure that you’ve guessed, I’m a fan of the TV show, Digimon, particularly season three, which I felt had the most realistic feel to its storyline and characters (though Adventure and 02 were also pretty good. Frontier sadly wasn’t all that impressive in my mind, but it had some okay parts to it. The battles with the Royal Knights for instance was my favorite story arc of that season), and as you may have guessed by looking at my story summaries (or a previous edition of my profile) I’m a Rukato fan (Rika x Takato), which is really the only pairing that I’ve really cared about, though Jurato (Jeri x Takato) and Ryuki (Ryo x Rika) scenes find their way in as well. (And why not? Keeps things interesting :P) Overall, I’ve got no problem with pairings, and refuse to bash them unless it’s done in parody, in which case even my own preferences will be subject to the same treatment (as evidenced in my ‘Fourth Wall’ series, which is a multi-season crossover set in the world of fan fiction), so rest assured that in my stories all characters and views will be treated with as much respect that is possible. Read, review, or just fire a PM at me if you just want to talk or ask me about a story idea. And if you want me to beta read your work, I'll do that, and you can expect me to give constructive criticism and tips, though I may not be the right candidate for the job. I've been a bit busy lately, and more and more I find that my interest in fanfiction isn't what it used to be. I've been wanting to get into more original material, and publish a book, and I find that I haven't been able to do that as well while my attention is split. I'm sorry to say that my updates for fanfiction are going to be much slower in coming as I change my gears over to fictionpress.com. I'll still be available for contact through the PM system and for beta reading, and I'll do an update for my work (or write a oneshot) as they come to me, but my priorities are changing. See you around. :) -Crazyeight Some rules of the trade that I tend to follow: 1.) No character bashing! Never been a huge fan of 'em unless it's in good humor or a very good reason is provided for it. 2.) Observing the rules of proper grammar. Okay, this one I'm a hypocrite at (as I'm sure that everyone else, or at least a large majority is). I bend the rules and occasionally break them (for that matter, I don't have them 100 percent memorized either), but I still believe that the work must sound good and flow good. 3.) Traditional bad guys don't always cut it. I like originality in bad guys. I especially like the guidelines for villains that the author Black provides and I have them set as my own personal gospel and guide through the world of fanfic writing. 4.) Experiment! It helps to break the traditional molds and take a fresh view of things. All the usual cookie cutter formats can be suffocating for the imagination. 5.) Self insertion. This one I tend to have a bone to pick with. When I first began to take up writing as a hobby, my dad gave me some advice to avoid this so as to break me from holding up what he called 'an idealized image of yourself'. I still think that he's right about this, but I am flexible enough to know that this can work if the writer's good enough. I myself avoid self-insertion though I have based my characters on aspects of my personality and people that I've known while putting in enough differences to seperate myself from them. If I come up with more I'll be sure to post them, but I don't think too many people want to hear me talk about my own writing preferences. They just come here to read my work. I own the characters Ryan, Chris, Caramon, Richoemon, Jane, Munnimon, Noriko, Lumemon, and William that are featured in my stories. I'd like to say that I own Gaomon to but sadly he's a canon character so I have no control over that. If you want to use them, E-mail me and I'll let you know if you can or not.
