Hola! Me llamo Rose DiVerona.

Well, not really, but I don't like my real name too much. I'm 17 and suffering through my senior year of high school. I live in the eastern United States.

I love to read and write. I also love music and theater. I am secretary of my school's drama club and have worked in pretty much every capacity involved with it (director, assistant director, actress, props manager, stagehand) at some point. I love to watch and quote movies. I love Disney, but not Disney Channel. Or Twilight. That ship has sailed. And sunk. Like a rock. Or like the Damocles (on NCIS). Which...didn't really sink. Heh. My fingers are running faster than my brain, as often happens. Moving on...

I also adore humor. Laughter is the therapy this world needs more of. I sometimes laugh so hard I cry. Make that often. My ribs can't handle the strain. I get stomach-aches. Not pretty.

I'm slightly insane at times (if you couldn't already tell), and very open-minded with a big heart. I haven't quite figured out where I fit in this big, wide world, but I'll know when I do. What I do know is that I believe absolutely in justice and equality. I can't stand to see people suffer or be put down by others.

I'm a very friendly person, even moreso online. I tend to be quiet-ish in class, but those who see me in a non-class setting know better.

Don't give me chocolate or caffeine if you want me to be calm. I'm really trying to get off my addiction to soda, but that's working about as well for me as when Abby tried to cut down on Caf-Pow! Hint: Not well.

Sometimes I'm still amazed at the large number of fanfics I have on here. I can't believe a hobby like this turned into such a big deal for me, but it has definitely helped me improve my writing and get my thoughts out on the web. Besides this, getting to know some of the other writers on a more personal level has been like my online support group. It is so wonderful to share the things I love with others who feel the same. :)

A million 'thanks yous' to all my reviewers. I can't count the number of times a heartfelt response to one of my works has made me smile! I do not promise to review everything I read because I just don't have time. I would apologize, but Gibbs says it's a sign of weakness, and he's usually right. However, I do promise to review everything I favorite. I owe my fellow writers that courtesy.

...Can you tell I'm pretty obsessed with NCIS? I've never found it so fun to write in any fandom before. Or so easy to come up with a bundle of ideas!

Entertainment Updates

(Decided this would be easier than a favorites list, because my preferences are always changing.)

Book: I just finished reading Dracula for my AP Literature class. I finished it while everyone else was going to the midnight premiere of "New Moon." Oh, my life is ironic. (For those of you who, like me, are severely sleep-deprived and don't get my little joke...vampires?). The book made me think quite poetically for a couple hours. That's the mark of a good novel. :)
Movie: Saw "The Blind Side" in theaters. It definitely deserves the acclaim--very touching film. Watched "He's Just Not That Into You" for the first time. Verdict: Cute. And informative. :) And getting into the holiday spirit, also saw "Four Christmases," which was hysterical.
Music: Currently, everything season-related is "in." It's the most wonderful time of the year!
TV Show: Boo for stupid two-week "NCIS" hiatuses. :(

You know that you're addicted to NCIS when...

1. You have seen every episode several times and still never get tired of it. (Haven't seen every episode yet-just got into the show at the end of July-but I have seen several more than once.)

2. You will yell if someone tries bothers you on Tuesday night when you are watching a new episode of NCIS. (Oh, yeah...)

3. You find yourself Gibbs Slapping people. (Or yourself) (My sisters will eventually get used to it.)

4. You have had a dream about it or involving one of the characters. (Pretty sure I have, can't remember it, though.)

5. You daze out while sitting at your desk and imagine yourself running along side Tony and Ziva with your gun drawn yelling, "Federal agents! Drop your weapon!"

6. You watch the movies that Tony has mentioned. As many as humanly possible that is.

7. You wish USA would put more than just three episodes a night on. (Actually, there are usually four episodes a night. But I can't watch on most weeknights, so I miss them all anyway.)
