~About Me~
Name: broadwaylover07
Age/Grade: 16/high school junior
Gender: Female
I am: Random, nonconformist, creative, imaginative, crazy, dreamer, friendly, sarcastic, funny...
Likes: Broadway, books, writing, singing, movies, music, acting...And junk food - my personal 'kryptonite.' And HUMOR. Throw something funny my way - innuendo, outuendo...it will find appreciation.
I love scary/weird horror stories and movies - I love getting the chills. "1408" was the best for this, and "The Twilight Zone" episodes, too (they're really weird, but still rock). Action/adventure movies are my favorite, though fantasy and science fiction come close. I like very few romance or chick flicks - "Failure to Launch, "P.S. I Love You," and "Made of Honor" excepting. Anyone know what category "Juno" goes under? Well, that rocks, too. As for books, I love pretty much any fiction. I'm a big fairy tale person. But I'm not picky, and I'm definitely not conservative in the things I'll read. I'm an absolute bookworm, and avid Harry Potter fan. I sing a lot. I'm not cocky enough to say I'm good, but I haven't sent anyone running. I've been to New York City twice, and it was beyond amazing. Broadway is my world. So is music.
I love acting. I'm in the Drama Club at my school, and am currently involved in my fifth school production. This time around, I get to be assistant director of Peter Pan!
Dislikes: School, homework. High School Musical. Zac Efron, Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers. Rap. Homophobes. Arrogance. Incessant swearing. Shallow people.
Favorite Broadways (bold=seen live): RENT, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray, Mamma Mia, Legally Blonde, Aida, Sweeney Todd, CATS, Chicago, The Lion King, Oliver!, Annie, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Music Man, A Chorus Line, Beauty and the Beast, Fiddler on the Roof, Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, The Sound of Music, Grease
Favorite Movies: RENT, Titanic, National Treasure 1&2, Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, Star Wars 1-6, The Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Across the Universe, Clue, P.S. I Love You, Patriot Games, The Dark Knight
--Scariest Movie I've Ever Seen: The Silence of the Lambs
--Funniest Movie I've Ever Seen: Made of Honor
Favorite Books: Harry Potter series (Deathly Hallows is the best), Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, Maximum Ride series ("School's Out: Forever" is the best), The Supernaturalist, The Twilight Saga ("Breaking Dawn" is the best), The Princess Bride: S. Morgenstern's Classic Tale of True Love and High Adventure
Favorite TV Shows: Charmed, Spongebob Squarepants, American Idol (surprisingly)
Favorite Music: Broadway! Obviously. Carrie Underwood. Daughtry. The Beatles. Some pop and modern - various artists. Shrek 1&2 soundtracks. NO RAP. Or heavy metal.
Favorite Actors: Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Bean, Justin Bartha
Favorite Actresses: Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet
Visit me on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/MovieFanatic119 Two videos, both of which convey my utter idiocy. Trust me, though, I'm not that stupid in real life...sometimes...Only when I get really excited or am doing it on purpose. Exhibits A and B.
~As for Fanfics...~
Pairing Info: I'm not extremely picky. Canon tends to be my favorite and preferred, but I'm not against all slash. My main pet peeve here is older character/younger character. Yuck. I do hate Gelphie (for non-Wicked fans, that's Glinda/Elphaba). But I sometimes like Briley (National Treasure - Ben/Riley) and Mark/Roger (RENT). Other hated pairings are Harry/Hermione (Harry Potter) and Jack/Elizabeth (Pirates of the Caribbean). It's very sporadic. Depends on the fic, really. If it's realistic enough and doesn't totally gross me out, ya got a chance. :D
Characters: Ah, here's where my stunning personality comes out! Jk. My favorite characters tend to reflect moi. For instance, as examples, Elphaba (Wicked), Riley (National Treasure), Mark (RENT), Ron (Harry Potter). And so on. I also have a prejudice towards my favorite actors - if they're in a movie, I will be likely to lean towards their character.
Favorite Fandoms: RENT, Wicked, National Treasure. The ones I write for and read from the most. But I love a variety. Seriously, I will watch a random movie and check out its fandom for fun. Thus have many of my one-shots been formed.
On OC's: Original characters are okay, as long as they're well-written. I can't stand Mary-Sue's. I generally don't write OC's, because I feel no one can create a character in any universe as good as the ones already there.
My Favorite Stories List: I realize the list is quite extensive. Only about 10 percent of the stories I have down are actual favorites. The rest are stories I like enough to want the opportunity to read them again someday...and I'm afraid I'll never find them if I don't have them somewhere safe.
~My Stories~
Thanks, as always, to all my reviewers. You rock.
A note relating to old stories...
I notice some of my old fanfics are not quite up to par, and I would like to revise them, especially "Something Wicked This Way Comes." Talk about extra cheese...If/when I do revise, it will be chapter-by-chapter, without taking the story down.
As for in-progress stories...
Yero = Semi-permanent HIATUS. With an occasional update.
And future stories...
I have several ideas! Hoping to get at least one up in the fall, but obviously in-progress fics take precedence. One idea I particularly like is for a post-Breaking Dawn "Twilight" fic. First chapter is already written!
