Author has written 9 stories for Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Supernatural. With apologies to all: I do not intend to finish No Higher Praise. I developed the plot and began writing before Order of the Phoenix was published, but, alas, my interest in the series started draining away with the fifth book. While I have no problem writing a horribly improbable AU, I draw the line at mischaracterization - and, to be honest, I don't really like what we learned about many of the characters in the later books, not to mention JKR's post-series announcements. (No, I'm not just talking about the whole James-and-Sirius-were-prats thing). And I found parts of the plot disappointing. So, I humbly apologize to the few lingering NHP readers who may still care, and admit that I am one of those pathetic losers who abandon lengthy WIPs in the middle. I'm sorry.
