UPDATE 9/25/09

My agent got back to me and she's submitted my novel to about 15 different publishers. She's also given them a deadline to get back to her, so by the end of next month, I should know something. Hopefully, a good something.

Also, one publisher that I met when I was in England last May, read the book and loved it, but felt it was too dark/teen for their list. But she loved it. That's the important part.

Let's just dwell onthe fact that I wrote something that someone thought was dark. LOL. If only they knew.

So, yes, that is about the best update/post I've had in awhile.

Let us sit back and enjoy. And not think about the fact I'm stuck on my new novel.

They're all gone. Sighs. All my stories are now saved on my itty bitty laptop. Again, thank you, thank you for all the support!! Keep checking here and on my homepage for updates on publishing!!

You will notice that stories will start disappearing from my profile. I have recently acquired a literary agent and because of copyright issues, etc., she and I decided to take down my stories. I cannot thank my readers enough for the encouragement and love they’d shown me over the two years plus I’ve been on here. From the bottom of my heart, I adore you all. I wouldn’t be where I was with my writing without you. Thank you. I will keep up my profile, so if and when I do get published I can let you all know.

Me:

I am a writer. I suppose that's more than obvious. Writing fanfiction gives me a place to play. So I try different things, different girls, different interpretations of canon characters. Sometimes it works, sometimes is doesn't, but you learn.

I discovered fanfiction my freshman year of college. I saw Newsies for the first time and in my interest in the actors, I came across the millions of fanfiction sites. Fanfiction, I'm amused to say, started me writing. I'd written precious little before Newsies and since then I write everything.

Newsies began it all, but I've dabbled in other story worlds: Smallville, Freaks and Geeks, Buffy, Charlie's Angels, Sandlot, Veronica Mars, The Covenant, Roundhouse and others I can't remember.

I love to read and write, it keeps me sane. I still like to act even though I'm not pursuing it professionally anymore. Singing and dancing, but I wouldn't say either was a talent of mine. Love music. I love to travel and trying new foods. I love local coffeehouses where I can relax and ponder. Bookstores are my weakness and books are the only thing I can buy on impulse.
