I am no longer in the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Program, I aged out as soon as I turned 19. That's the way cadets works, they kick you out at nineteen. I am proud to say that I achieved what is no longer possible, attaining the rank of WO2 (Warrant Officer 2nd Class, the second highest rank in RCAC), in under four years including having to go through the evil FCpl rank. I like to play D&D (even though I've barely played it), Kingdom Hearts I, II, and Re:Chain of Memories, Star Wars games, Lord of the Rings games, Guild Wars, Ace Combat, Battlefield 2142, and any good RTS game that you can throw at me. Examples are Star Craft, Age of Empires, Empire Earth, Warcraft III... I also like to cook, and read good Fantasy, Science-Fiction, Alternate-Universe, and Non-Fiction novels and fanfiction. And, I like Star Gate SG1.

I used to think I couldn't be an author, however, thanks to getting an idea stuck in my head for weeks, I find that I have become one. I am currently working on The Annals of Darkness, a Kingdom Hearts series of fanfics set after the events of Kingdom Hearts II. It is not going to be very related to the current rumors, speculations, or released information about the next Kingdom Hearts games though.

I'm going to say it here and now. When I first started The Fire in His Heartin the spring of 2007, there had been very few Kingdom Hearts Action/Adventure/Romance fics featuring Riku/Yuffie as a secondary pairing. If fact, I could have probably counted them on one hand. Nearly everyone before had given Riku a custom OC, the very wonderful Talitha Koum with her beloved, blessedly dark and cynical Nevaeh 'Heaven' Alexander prominent among them. Since my fic's emergence, I've noticed a large trend of pairing him up with the hyperactive kunoichi, many of the stories by people I recognize as writing reviews for my own story. Here's my point, though I'm often quite humble: Lady Valtaya was the one who really started the Rikuffie phenomenon because she introduced the pairing to me with her original Sunset Hearts! Apart from that, it was ME!! Pay me homage!

I have also just realized something. As you are now aware, my penname is Shire Folk, however, I do not write, or read much LOTR fanfiction. This will, however change when The Annals of Darkness: The War really rolls around. However, I have come to the realization that the reason that I don't read or write LOTR fanfiction is because I interpret J.R.R. Tolkien's penned words as LAW, and would never truly dare to stray very far from them except in terms of small pieces in Peter Jackson's films. So to those of you who are reading this paragraph, expect a version that very closely follows the books on the way to Maleficent's downfall.

1. Your favorite KH guy?

Sora. He's the main protagonist, and a regular teenager who we can pretty much relate to as he gets thrust into a world he's probably not ready for. The only difference is that for him it's a battle for life and death while the rest of us it's likely University.

2. Your favorite KH girl?

Kairi. She's sweet and caring, is cute in the first game and only more beautiful the second game. Plus she's got spunk.

3. Your least favorite KH guy? Why?

Saïx. I don't like him because he's an idiot. He kidnapped Kairi after she got away from Axel, and then refused to let Sora see her. If he was smart, he'd have had Sora wrapped around his finger if he had let him see Kairi.

4. Your least favorite KH girl? Why?

I like all of the girls in KH... oh wait! Larxene. She's a manipulative witch who I was very glad to kill off in Castle Oblivion. Her dying words annoyed the hell out of me.

I know that I dislike Sora/Riku, but I really don't like Sora/Roxas. To me, that's almost like he's in love with a monozygotic twin brother who dyed his hair and styled it differently, so it really makes me sick to my stomach!

People have told me that my pairing of Riku/Yuffie is a crack one.

No. They don't have hearts, and Xemnas never appeared to know what love was in the first place.

No. He just has a cool hairstyle and is usually stuck in a dark room, which give the appearance of emo. We don't see people asking if Laxeaus is emo do we?

No, he's just the only one man enough to have pink hair and wield a scythe that blows the petals of sakura blossoms at us.

20. Do you believe that Kairi is the most annoying character in KH?

21. If Roxas had to choose either Namine or Olette, who would you root for? Why?

Namine. While I like Olette, Namine was the one who was helping him to get through Twilight Town. Plus, they are Sora and Kairi.

22. What's your theory on KH: Birth by Sleep?

Um... I don't know anymore. So much info has been released by now, and it's so close to its Japanese release date that I can throw away any theories I had and wait for it to come to this side of the Pacific.

23. Was Chain of Memories a waste of time?

Absolutely not. As long as you play it on the PS2 that is. GBA version is a waste of time.

24. If you had the choice of meeting ONE (and ONLY ONE!) KH character, who would it be?

Kairi, either at one of my friends' parties, or at the ski slopes in Jasper or at the beach.

25. Which KH character do you relate to the most? Why?

Pence. While I'm the opposite pysically from him, I'm a bit of a nerd who goes along objectively with whatever his friends are planning.

26. What's the most embarrassing moment that ever happened to you that had something to do with KH?

When I got to the final bar against the Ice Titan and died because I got a call to come upstairs for supper.

27. Have you ever cosplayed as a KH character? If so, who? If not, who would you like to cosplay as?

No. I guess that it would be cool though to cosplay as Sora, but I really don't have the hair to cosplay any of them.

28. The Funniest Moment in all of KH would be...?

I'm stuck. There are three moments I can't decide between, so I'll list all three.

Moment one:

Hades: Do you have any idea who you're talking to!? I am the Lord of the Dead!

Auron: No wonder nobody wants to die.

Moment two:

Genie's triumphant return in KH2 where he mistakes Pete for Aladdin.

29. The Hardest Enemy/Boss was...?

Number III, Xaldin, The Whirlwind Lancer.

30. What was a good addition in KH2 that made it oh-so-addictive?

New worlds, a slightly more complex and darker story to suit the growing teenage protagonist, the Drive Forms, Organization XIII, and a winnable optional battle against Sephiroth.

358/2 Days. I can wait for BBS, and I can read about what happens in Coded, and I can wait until KHIII has been announced, but then I won't be able to wait for KHIII!

49. Do you like KH1 or KH2 better? Why?

KH2. See my above answer to question 30, and I liked the battle system better. We had one more customizable button, the reaction commands, and we could rotate the camera using the right analog stick.

50. LAST QUESTION! What makes Kingdom Hearts one of the best games in the world!?

Its combination between the intrigue of Final Fantasy and its own original style and how it seamlessly merges the classic Disney movies that we love into a fun role-playing action/adventure game. Plus, never before has anyone been able to make Mickey Mouse as awesome as he is in this game.
