Personal Update: A mass apology goes out to all that I've neglected to message/email back. I want to take a bunch of time with the replies, but I don't have that right now, so I've just been avoiding them. Some of you I've received your message/email weeks ago, too. -_- Same goes for review replies.

My life is crazy hectic, and I had wanted to get Mesmerize out before November but I doubt that's going to happen right now. It's looking as if I'm not going to get anything fanfiction-related done, at least until next summer, if this keeps up. : I have college applications to do (I was going to do an Early Action one that is due on the 1st, but I don't think I can get it out in time), college and high school courses to keep up in, my job (which, admittedly, isn't that much of a time suck except on Saturday nights (the only day I work)), and NaNoWriMo-related original work. I'm writing 25000 words before November, and then 50000 words during November, and then however many words it takes to finish it. This story I'm actually trying to finish, which would be a huge accomplishment for me. But I'm behind my daily October Quota by about 3000. :

So, I guess you could count me on fanfiction hiatus. Which isn't good, I know, but for a while I was back on and there are a few little oneshots that resulted from that. Hopefully I'll have more time in the future to get things done. :(

I, too, find it odd that Lia and I update within a day or so of each other. I wonder if the trend will keep? --8:43 AM, Friday, October 23, 2009.

Mesmerize: A Draco/Ginny/Blaise story dealing with the intricacies of relationships. Featuring Abused!Ginny, Possessed!HarryRonHermione, and Adoptive!Slytherins. Actually, I suck at summarizing this thing in different words. sigh Just go check down there, will you?

Tea Time: A Blaise/Luna oneshot in which Blaise takes Luna to meet his mum over tea. I don't have a title yet, but this is the summary: Blaise Zabini had never once brought home a woman to meet his mother. Luna Lovegood was the first, and she thought the poison in her tea was nargle pee.

Quote of the Moment:

“Really, Blaise, your mum just kills men. If anything, I think we should be more concerned for your well-being.”

The Golden Key: A Ginny/Lucius written for the Malfoy-Weasley exchange but not turned in because of real life in the form of my brother's car crash. I still want to complete it, though. Features Ginny and Lucius as code/curse breakers attempting to solve a riddle to find a Sorcerer's Stone before the other.

It had been a long time since she had firecalled anyone (generally, she preferred owling or face-to-face meetings), but it was still as easy as riding a broom.

“Ow!” Ginny cried, involuntarily squeezing her eyes shut against the pain. She felt as if her forehead had been slammed into a brick wall. It was pitch black, and she couldn’t see anything.

“Hello?” she questioned hesitantly, straining for any sign of life. “Is this Malfoy Manor?”

“Please wait while your party is reached,” a generic-sounding female voice boomed somewhere near the vicinity of Ginny’s left ear, and she winced at the volume.

“Oh, Merlin’s beard,” she exclaimed in exasperation. Suddenly, it was as if the brick wall that had been in front of her eyes was gone, revealing a well-furnished room in burgundy and mahogany wood. Lucius Malfoy was sitting in an armchair, a sour expression on his face. Ginny, however, was in no mood for niceties.

“Your fireplace put me on hold!” she snapped indignantly. He smirked in that insufferable way that made her want to throttle him.

Thunder and Lullabies: I really really want to get back to this, but I just haven't the time now. I've started the next chapter somewhere. I just have to clean my room to find it.
