(mini rant of tha year)

When authors get anal about people favoriting or alerting their fics but never reviewing... it slightly ticks me off because some actually get honestly ticked off about it. i can understand wishing they'd review. Reviews are an author's manna, i know that, understand that, feel ya on it.

So why, if I understand all of that does it tick me off? Well, to be honest, it's because I know that I myself tend to not have time to review my favorites or those stories I've alerted, but if I enjoy them enough, I will alert or favorite so I can keep on reading or read a story as many times as i want to. I have so many favorited stories it ain't even funny. Even now, I'm scrolling back through and rereading stories I've read often throughout the time they've been on the list.

A Favorite on any of my stories, tells me that that reader wishes to show their love and support of the fiction, and just might decide to read it again somewhere down the road because they honestly enjoyed it.

An alert tells me that the reader wishes to keep up with future chapters, or any news of a sequel I might decide to post in a story. It doesn't escape me that they enjoyed the story enough to put it on their alert list.

A review is awesomely wonderful and I dearly love getting them whether I've got the time to reply to them or not. The golden moments, for me personally, are those favorites that pop up in my e-mail inbox. Those notices that someone out there enjoyed one of my stories enough to add it as a favorite. Or maybe they enjoyed my stories enough to add me to their favorite authors, or maybe an author alert list.

So my problem with those that get anal over people who alert and favorite without reviewing is this one simple thing... So listen well, will you dears?

READERS DO NOT ALERT AND FAVORITE THOSE STORIES OR AUTHORS THEY DO NOT LIKE! Embrace it, love it, live it, enjoy it, and be dadgummed thankful for it because they are still doing their best to show you and your work that you took time and care on some serious love! I don't get why you'd be anal about something you should be grateful, humbled and happy over. Unless i'm the only nutcase author who happy dances in her computer chair when fanfiction sends me a notice that somebody favorited and alerted my stories. It's like a victory for me. If i'm wrong about this, then far be it for me to be an ignorantly simple-minded fool. Feel free, please do, to bring me up to speed, sweethearts.

Anyways, I love you guys, you're all the best in your own ways. I'm off... to work on a story or five so i may hopefully have a chapter of something posted very soon!

I am open-minded about many things, and though many will not enjoy the exact same things I will, we are all entitled to our opinions ne? So no bashin me when I like somethin different, or something you don't particularly care for or hate with a passion, or even disagree with. I don't do it to you, I'd like for you not to do it to me. It is only fair after all. Besides, if we all had the same likes and dislikes we'd be no better than zombie puppets dancing on cue to a master's call. I myself have looked at profiles to get to know a few of my favorite authors a bit better. Some things I didn't particularly agree with, but as I typed, we are all entitled to our individual opinions.

Alrighty then!! Time for Story talk!! boy, I haven't updated this in way too long. Sorry about that guys! Anyway, let's begin with those stories on temporary hold.

My rework of Time Changes Everything and Nothing at All is on hold until my Naruto muse blesses me with the inspiration I need to fix the story with. It is good as is for my first fiction, but I'd like to clean it up and make it as good as I can with my current, though questionable, skills.

The Legacy of Two Blondes is also on hold due to that annoyingly absent Naruto muse of mine. I will not abandon it, but it will take me a little while to play with it again and get back into my plotline. thanks to my computer breaking down one me with the chapters I was working on still on it and not on my flash drive... I lost what I wanted to do with it. 'Tis a tragedy of untold woe... but alas, it will be continued someday, I promise.

20 songfic onshots is also on hold, but only until I find a lil musical inspiration. i still need to figure out a good lemon song for them... i got a request for that once, and i've been seriously thinking about giving it a try. It wouldn't be detailed, but it would still be one.

There are so many ideas and stories dancing around in my head that I'm afraid of starting on one of my notebooks and notebooks full of ideas without having the basic storyline set up first. there are some Harry Potter stories, and me being my thinking lil self, I love to shake up a story and make as many people as possible wonder what the heck is going on before that little lightbulb moment comes and you finally see what it is I'm going for with a story. Onw-shots, are easy and hard because you have to put so much thought into them, yet not the same amount of thought you have to put into a story. A one-shot can be random from one to another, but with a story you have to, at the very least, have a consistant plotline and it's not so easy for a random lil person. Once I get plotlines solidfied comfortably enough for me, then I will post another chapter story. Be it harry Potter, InuYasha, Naruto (when my muse is back), yu Yu Hakusho, or whatever other ideas pop up in my mind, then I will definitely be writing like crazy for you guys.

As for reviews... I'll admit that they brighten up my day and put a big huge goofy smile on my face, but I'm not going to beg you for them. It's an accepted thing with me, if you feel you've got a moment, or a thought to spare, then you'll leave one. If you don't, then there's no use crying over it. I may pout, but I will type up another chapter as soon as I can like a good little still learning author. I still need growth as an author because i am far from the best, so i don't expect glowing reviews all the time, or even sometimes, but nice reviews and constructive criticism is appreciated more than anything.

And honestly, if people don't take the time to look at warnings, or pairings and start reading your fiction anyway... If they actually have the nerve to read it all the way through and flame you because there was something in it that they hated that you'd wanred them about, then they shouldn't have continued reading in the first place and they shouldn't have complained. It's not your fault if someone who hates a male/male pairing reads your story. If they hated it so much, then once they figured out what was going on and who you were pairing up, then they should be nice enough to stop reading and back out of it. It's not that hard.

I always try to look at the warnings of a story and if I think there's something in that warning that points to something I'm not going to like, then I back out of reading the story, so I know it's not hard for people to do that. I have; however, gotten a good review from someone who usually wouldn't read a yoai story, but they did and enjoyed it. I forget now what story it was for, but i remember that review because it made me smile. Reviews like that, i don't mind, because it seemed to me that the person knew what they were reading and made the choice to continue. I'm only glad they enjoyed it. It's the people who know what they're getting into and flame the author, who warned them that rub me the wrong way. So please be careful of that, and ALWAYS read the warnings, and if there's something you think an author needs to warn the audience about, then tell them, and the more polite you are about it, the more willing they'll be to fix the problem.
