I'm not how old you think I am. I've received enough glaringly incorrect guesses to know that I'm apparently a hard person to figure out online. I'm probably not who you think I am, either. I am not a quiet, geeky girl who spends her time up to her taped-together glasses in books. I'm not a slacker living in my mother's basement. I'm not even all that exciting. No, seriously. I'm one of the most boring people on earth. But so long as I'm online, I can cling tenaciously to my anonymity and in that mystery I like to think myself made a trifle more interesting... anyway...
One thing I will tell you is that I love to write. There are some days and some fractional moments where it is the only thing I live for. There are some days when I feel like the last thing I want to do is write something. But generally speaking it is my unfortunate passion that will, it seems, get me nowhere in life except onto this here website. I write for my own enjoyment -- if you like what I write, all the better. I adore reviews of all kinds. Long, constructive reviews that pick apart what I've written (even brutally) make me the happiest person on earth, in that they give me ways to improve. Don't get me wrong. I obviously adore the typical "good story!" comments, but I love specifics. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. If you ever want to contact me about anything from a fanfiction to your lost pet duck, feel free to hit me up via email. I promise I won't bite so long as you don't smell all too appealing. :)
In the world of fanfiction, I typically only write for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, House, and Harry Potter. I've been known to do a little Gilmore Girls (strictly JavaJunkie!). Buffy the Vampire Slayer is and always will be my favorite television show. The character development is mind-blowing, the plot lines are flawless and unpredictable, and the writing is brilliant enough to draw the viewer in each and every episode for a serious emotional ride. I have yet to find a flaw in the series. I absolutely adore it. Season 2, in my opinion, was the overall best, though perhaps I am a bit biased, as there was ample view of David Boreanaz in leather pants... mmm. But the writing was brilliant. My favorite episodes were probably "Passion" and "Lie to Me," if not only for the narration in "Passion" and the end conversation between Giles and Buffy in "Lie to Me." Naturally I adore Angel too, but although it was great, it always did sort of only exist in the shadow of its parent, in my opinion. (Though again, much David Boreanaz is always good.) My favorite ship of all time is Buffy/Angel. That is all I really read or write, and... gah. It's just so perfect. Other relationships that I liked though don't obsess over are Cordy/Doyle, Xander/Anya, Willow/Tara, Giles/Jenny, and, yes, even Spike/Buffy. What Angel and Buffy had was beautiful, but what Spike and Buffy had was quite frankly... hot. And so that's why I can like both of them, with the former taking obvious precedence over the latter. House is another of my favorite television shows, and I ship strictly House/Cameron. Nothing else. I think everybody else should just be spayed/neutered, because any other ships seriously gross me out. Anyway. Gilmore Girls was tres brilliant. Don't even need to comment about Harry Potter... the name speaks for itself. I also may delve into the world of Bones fanfiction soon enough... (i... like... david... boreanaz...).
I think that's pretty much it. I'm a seventy-year old woman with knitting needles, a walker, and fourteen cats named after minor characters from Buffy and a couple of fish who are questionably alive.
Just kidding. You didn't seriously think I'd give up my mystique that easily, did you?
Kudos for wading through all of this crap,
