I write fanfic for stress relief, which means I don't dedicate several hours a day or even a week to it. Sorry guys, no weekly updates from me! Like so many authors before, I've been bitten by the original fic bug (or in my case original manga) so that has first priority. :3 Please understand, and if you are following one of my two WIP, I beg you to be patient and stick it out. I will finish them!

Beta reading? I quite enjoy beta reading! If you are considering me, please contact me through the site's messaging service first to find out if I am available. I will reply, and we'll go from there. I take about a week for each 2,000 words. I can do a light beta for spelling, grammar, and word-choice; or I can give you full beta with plot and characterization feedback on top of that. I enjoy helping writers improve, so if you only want someone to tell you how awesome you and your stories are, please go to someone else. But if you want honest concrit, then contact me! boring IRL info: I'm female, 30 years old, live in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, consider myself an artist first and writer second. I hope to find the delicate blend of the two in my upcoming original manga.

I prefer character-driven stories over mindless action in what I read, draw, and write. Indeed, I'm one of those types who use action scenes in movies to get a drink refill. :P I also love a good, complicated, interwoven plot with extra conflict!!

Please note I'm not a frantic "shipper", I'll read just about any pairing in any combination of gender from any series if it strikes my fancy. If you want to flame me for one of my pairings, don't bother. Really.

Current news 5-9-09: Surprise! It's a third chapter in my most popular fic, It's All an Act You Know. Once again, I deliberately wrote this chapter in an attempt to cheer up my fanfic sempai, and I'm glad to say it worked. :D This chapter has a change in tone from the two previous installments! I'm also laying a little groundwork for any future chapters I might decide to write.

And now, extra info about my various fics, in alphabetical order by title:

At the End of Climbing Trees - I originally hated Sasuke with a passion for what he did to Naruto, but when I realized tha he must have known that moment was coming ever since he and Naruto were put together in Team Seven, I just had to explore what was going on inside him. And after writing this, I can't blindly hate him any more.

Distracting and a Great Bother - My very first fanfic!! Gaara is my favorite character from Naruto because he's so very creepy and intimidating, and it's so much fun to explore how a woman might react to him if she has no idea who and what he is. I admit this fic is very close to wish fulfillment for myself, but I'm not nearly as brave as Minami. I'd have been dead by the 2nd staredown. I am determined to finish this fic, and give it the powerful and realistic ending it deserves. Only one more chapter to go!

Forgetting, Flirting, and a Frash Raive - This fic was written for a fanfiction contest. The theme was "flash", and I'm pleased to say I won!! X3 It's my first and thus far only fanfic contest entry. This one is a comedy oneshot. Fanfic needs more comedies!

It's All An Act, You Know - This fic was inspired by my fanfic-sempai, the wonderful Stariceling. She had written a short fic herself from Ryuu's POV, where Ryuu reacts to Kyuu stealing his drink. Her fun fic made a bunny attack me, and I surprised her with my continuation. She then wrote a third and fourth chapter! XD If you'd like to read our co-authored version in order, you can find it here, on Lunaescense. Now the fic has two threads, the continuation by Stariceling, and my version featuring sneaky!Kyuu. Heeeee! Will there be a chapter four?? I dunno. Maybe. I admit, I do enjoy writing this version of Kyuu.

Maturation's Matriculation - I have the highest respect for this shounen series, and I wanted to explore the side of Clare and Raki's early relationship that we are barely shown. It's a challenge to write stories that could exist within canon! This fic contains also my first fight scene. It's also my first completed multi-chapter fic. Yes, it's only two chapters, but still. :P

One-Sided, Two Ways - I was happily in the middle of Naruto Chapter 281 when my thoughts wandered and a bunny suddenly pounced. At the urging of friends, I gave in and wrote it. I have several more ideas for this story that have excellent potential, and I hope to do them justice. This is my first shippy fic, so it will be both fun to write something not-so-dramatic as my usual stuff, and a challenge to not let it become whiny and moping and full of belligerent woe-is-me angst. Wish me luck!

Perceptions and Misconceptions - I've wanted to write a Champloo fic for a very long time yet keep delaying, and for that reason I could not get pissy!Mugen out of my head. So I wrote this fic to exorcise him, and it worked. XD I'm very pleased with how it turned out, thus it will likely remain a one-shot. Maybe? Who knows?
