My Forum I Came Here For An Argument! was created because I love discussing Harry Potter. There will be questions will be about fanfiction (slashy questions for example about the characters/pairings) or general HP movies/books.

The Seven Deadly Sins of Fandom: I have created my own rec-list. The Seven Deadly Sins of Fandom, which can be found on my LJ. "You are committing a deadly sin if you haven't read the following." This is just for fun and my own personal favourites. Feel free to steal the idea and create your own. Don't forget to send me the link ;-)
Here is all the information you need before you set out to (hopefully) enjoy my stories
Fandom: Harry Potter, obviously. I may write a crossover with Lord of the Rings at some point, though.
Warnings: Slash! This means that all my stories (save one) contain homosexual relationships in some form. Furthermore I advise you to read the warnings at the beginning of each story even though none of my fics contain very mature themes. That way we can all avoid feeling insulted or angry, and I get to avoid flames. See, everybody wins.
Style: I like character development, and sometimes it may seem like my stories are a little long (though I don't think so at all), but every scene is needed to bring the character to the place I want him/her (okay, him, let's be honest) at the climax. I generally like to switch between POVs as it suits the story, so that sometimes you know what's going on, and sometimes it's a mystery. That's another thing, even though some things are unexplained in the beginning everything always becomes clear in the end! A lot of my stories are like that and I like the suspense it creates. I like characters with secrets.
Language: I am Norwegian, but I read and wrote English years before my family moved back to Norway and I started Norwegian school. Mostly the mistakes in my fics are just typos, but you should still feel free to point them out.
Beta: Victory by grace is helping me with "Mulligan". Any fics before that I have had to proofread myself, but my sister usually helps me with style/plot. Note that the earlier fics have more typos as I wasn't as thorough with them.
My lj: On LJ (my user name is the same as here) I'll be posting fics I haven't posted here before, as well as some other stuff that's too racy for FF. Same warnings etc as above apply. Most notably "Harry Potter and the Heart Diamond" is posted there, which was written pre-DH and is my own take on the horcruxes. See my homepage.

Fanfic begets fanfic!: Those of you who have been to my LJ and read "Harry Potter and the Heart Diamond" will perhaps be interested to know that Aria DC al Fine has written an alternative ending to the story. I have to say I am very flattered that someone liked my story that much. And I also very much enjoyed reading "The Parable". It was beautifully written so I definately recommend it. If you would like to read "The Parable " remember to leave feedback for the author!

My name: When I first started my life on the Internet I decided to translate my real name into a elven name. I started rummaging through elvish dictionaries and discovered that "Elpin" (if I remember correctly) is the elvish version of "Christ". And onto that I added the ending -oine. Then I added a hobbit last name and voilà: Elpinoine Hardbottle, or Elpin for short. Now for the bonus question: can you work out what my real name is?
