My name is Lisa. I'm an aspiring 18-year old writer. I've been writing since the moment I could read. I have written DragonBall Z fanfiction (http://fanfiction.net/~VegetaGokulover) and Yu Yu Hakusho fanfiction (http://fanfiction.net/~Kuwabaralover) I have also written original poetry (http://fictionpress.net/~darkvoidangel). I now plan to write various Fruits Basket fanfiction, varying from all kinds of genres, like romance, drama, angst, and a little comedy. I plan to write one-shots, poems, and on-going projects.

Loves: When fanfics are original, when the pairing is well-written and believable, when the characterization is right on, and when the grammar and spelling is almost perfect.

Pet peeves: When people don't get Shigure's character right. Granted, I can't get him perfectly either, but I hate when people just classify him as 'funny, smart, and a good person.' He's NOTHING like that. Well, maybe he is on the outside, but definitely not on the inside.

Favorite Characters:

My fav. characters in the series are Kyo, Shigure, Hatori, Ayame, Akito, Yuki, and Manabe. You'll quickly find that most of my fanfiction will be dedicated to these characters.

Kyo: I have loved him since the second I saw him in the first volume of the series. I always love the rebel in anime series (Vegeta, Kuwabara, etc.) and Kyo was no exception. He has a very mysterious, dark past and the fact that Tohru is gradually changing him into the man that he's always wanted to be is the sweetest thing ever :) Kyo/Tohru is my most FAVORITE anime pairing, and I'm proud to say that I've been a fan since Volume 1 :)

Shigure: There are just some certain characters that you love as soon as you see them. As soon as I laid eyes on him, I knew he was going to be one of my favorite characters. He brings a lot of comic relief and a lot of wisdom, and frankly, the series wouldn't be the same without him. Despite his comic side, there's this manipulative, dark side that is very interesting. He's the mastermind pulling the strings.

Hatori: I love this guy. He's sooo complex, and his past with Kana is so depressing. Hatori is a great guy, willingly sacraficing his happiness for the happiness of others. Although he is, like Shigure, kind of twisted.

Ayame: Everytime he shows up in the manga and anime a smile comes onto my face. Ayame is such an amazing character. His confidence is filled with such hilarity that I literally find myself laughing after every word he says. His relationship with Yuki is very sad, despite it's comic moments. Jeez... the Mabudachi trio really are depressed lol

Akito: One of the best villains. Ever. Akito is so complex and is filled with so many secrets that will astonish many of the Furuba fans when they find out. I love how Akito has a unique and special relationship with all of the members of the Zodaic. But I feel that he is particularly close to Shigure, Hatori, Yuki, and Kureno. I wonder why.

Yuki: Now, being such a strong Kyo fan, it kind of doesn't make sense to love Yuki so much. But I believe that you can't fully appreciate a rivalry or a love triangle if you don't love both sides of the coin. I didn't think there was much to Yuki's character before, but in the recent volumes, his great character is starting to shine through. He isn't the typical "pretty boy" of an anime series, but a character with a dark past that he's trying to overcome. I'm interested to see where he and Machi's relationship will go.

Last but not least,

Manabe: I.love.him. I really do. He's hilarious, he's confident, and he's a lot like Ayame. He brings out the best in Yuki and is a very good, loyal, and understanding friend. He'll always be there to help Yuki through his many problems, and he'll always be there to sleep during the Student Council meetings ;)

Favorite Relationships:

Kyo/Tohru: I adore these two together! I think they are the perfect match, even more so than Yuki and Tohru. Tohru calms Kyo down and Kyo makes Tohru more assertive. They understand each other's weakness and strengths and continue to get closer and closer. I also think it's interesting how Kyo has admitted his feeling to himself, but Tohru hasn't admitted it to herself yet. Can't wait to see what happens!

Shigure/Akito: If you love the series, you have to be a fan of these two. They are perfect together. I believe that they are soul mates, and despite their twisted history, they're trying to overcome their past mistakes. I love the fact that every time they're together it seems like a battle, and by the time they finish their conversation, one of them has lost and one of them has won. I'm beginning to find out more and more about them, and as I do, my love for this relationship grows. It practically keeps the series going. It's amazing!

Kakeru/Yuki: The two of them fit together like a puzzle. I think they bring out the best and worst in each other. I believe that Yuki needs someone like Kakeru to bring him out of his shell, and Kakeru needs someone like Yuki to tone him down. To an extent, their relationships kind of reminds me of the Mabudachi Trio. I love how Manabe always says what Yuki needs to hear and vice versa.

Mabudachi Trio: The three of them go perfect together. If there were just two of them, it'd be perfectly okay, but it would seem like a peice of them is missing. The three of them have all gone through many hardships, but they've all faced them together. I've never seen a greater friendship, and whenever the three of them are together, hilarity and chaos ensues ;) Three of the best characters in all of anime.

Spotlight of Fanfics:

"Shigure liked to reflect, sometimes, on what would happen if Akito ever found out how he supported himself. Even with his allowance as one of the Jyunishi, he couldn't make enough writing books to support himself and all three of his rambunctious, hungry, destructive charges (well, his two cousins who fit that description, plus the lovely Tohru-kun). There simply wasn't as big a market for literature as Akito seemed ready to believe there was, whenever Shigure mentioned how well his books were selling. His novels were selling well, granted; he'd heard a rumor that a couple of literature courses in high schools now used them as material. He hoped it was true - he fancied them rather better than much of what he had read in high school, and forcing a hundred students to buy his book helped sales enormously."

This is an excerpt from a fic I've been reading called "A Man's Romance". It's an incredible fanfic about Shigure, and how he uses most of what he sees around him for inspiration to write his many novels. It's original, well-written, fun, and incredible. It features many different pairings, from Shigure/Tohru to Yuki/Haru to Ayame/Hatori. It's an on-going project, and one of the best Fruits Basket fanfics that I've ever read. Although 14 chapters seems like a lot to read, the chapters are so exquisitely written that you'll wonder where the chapters have gone. If you can, read and review it! Here's the link:

9/05/07 - I am sooo sorry for making everyone wait for 'A Helping Hand'. Unfortunately, I'm not done with the fifth chapter but I am in the process of writing it. I just started college so getting used to my schedule and writing a fanfic in my spare time does not go well together. So expect the new chapter in a few weeks. Sorry for the wait!
