Author has written 69 stories for Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Chronicles of Narnia, Ranger's Apprentice, Harry Potter, How to Train Your Dragon, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Doctor Who, Squire's Tales, Gerald Morris, Merlin, and Rise of the Guardians.

I've been conditioned by the internet elite into thinking that I need to write something sophisticated here that will convince you to read my work. Unfortunately, in light of my own rabid non-conformity (which springs from an equally rabid sense of laziness) I can assure you that anything I write henceforth is subject to high chance of ramble. Brace yourselves, for I don't intend on editing this once I'm done.

If you've been by here before, you may notice that I've deleted about 90 percent of my profile. I've always been bothered by overly long profiles, and so, after I visited my own profile and realized how long it'd gotten, I decided there was some spring cleaning to be done.

First, let's get the basics out of the way:

You can find me on DeviantArt, FictionPress, and Tumblr under the same username. (Elfpen, for those of you who never played connect the dots as children)

Also, the loverly icon that you see to your left was drawn by the wondermous Atlantistel at DeviantArt. Thanks, Atlan! (Go look at her art. GO. She's awesome.)About Me:

What can I say? I'm a Christian, introverted uni student with a life in Texas and a heart in Britain. I read when I can, hoard soundtrack music, and spend my time gathering pointless trivia and making puns. I wear glasses when I'm feeling lazy and contacts when I'm not, and on weekends I sleep in and live off ramen and easy mac. I shot as a competitive target archer for four years and wish I still had the opportunity and equipment to continue doing so. I play flute, can't throw a frisbee to save my life, and have allergies that make swine flu look like the sniffles. I am a History major who loves Medieval and Ancient times and a strong helping of the British isles, and an Art and Illustration minor who loves oil paints and likes to pretend she knows how to use watercolors. I draw for fun and spend far too much time on the internet.

That about sums it up, for now.

My Writing:

Overall, my writing is... haphazard at best. I'm not terribly good at finishing things that I've started, and I honestly just write fanfiction for my own enjoyment. I get ideas running about in my head like annoying animals, so I let them free on Microsoft Word with varying degrees of skill and humane treatment so they'll stop nagging me to death. The fact that some people who have too much free time (like me) end up enjoying them is a pleasant surprise.

I'll let my stories speak for themselves; all the info for each is there on the list.

Other than that, I suppose you should know that I do not write slash or 'M' rated fictions as a principle, and although I've tried my hand at poetry, the blackboard screeches were so loud I decided it was better if I left that particular genre alone. I write mostly for Ranger's Apprentice and Merlin these days, but that is subject to change, as anything.

1/26/2013

Alright, part of me swore that I would never do this, but I just couldn't take it anymore. I went back through the 'My Stories' list on my profile, and deleted a lot of my old stories. The ones I did delete fit into one (or both) of two categories: Stories that I know for a solid fact I will never ever update again, AND Those stories that are really old and horribly written, whose existence make me hide my face in embarrassment. Let's face the music, I couldn't write in-character characters worth twopence six years ago. That being said, I've kept around a few of the stories that I'd really just rather never see again because, for whatever reason, people seemed to like them. Here is a list of stories I've taken down, if anyone remembers them:

For Good

Family Ties

A Matter for Concern

Destiny Attracts Irony

Hair

Drafted

Completing the Circle

The Problem with Keeping Secrets

Lost

Life is a Funny Thing - Especially when You're Me

If, for whatever sick reason, you remember one of these things and (for whatever sicker reason) am mad at me for deleting it, I have actually kept them on file because, even if I don't want others to read them, I haven't the heart to delete them all for good. So just pop me a PM and let me know if you just have to have a copy of my horrible, old work.
