Author has written 13 stories for Harry Potter. I first got introduced to fanfic through the Babylon 5 fandom quite a few years ago, although I also read a little (very little!) in the Buffy and Harry Potter fandoms. I've been reading HP fic pretty exclusively since 2006 - mostly SSHG but also gen on occasion, especially if it's Snape-centric. I stayed a lurker until mid-2007; it was the release of Deathly Hallows that motivated me to become more involved in fandom. Although I'm still first and foremost a reader, the support of fellow fans has encouraged me to try my hand at writing, too. So far I've mostly just written drabbles (the grangersnape100 community at LiveJournal is a terrific place!) but hopefully this will eventually change. It's been a great way to practice both my writing and my English, as I'm not a native speaker and until October 2007, I hadn't done creative writing in any language for a good 15 years. | |||||||||
