| Darren Brimhall |
Author has written 7 stories for G. I. Joe, and Harry Potter. At an early age, Darren Brimhall made his own toys (mostly guns) from paper, tape, cardboard, and glue. Normally, parents would be pleased that their child was showing a strong creative streak with a healthy dose of problem solving at such an early age--but Darren's were quite angry with him for using up all of the masking tape in the house. He started writing some Thirty years ago, and figured that STARLOG Magazine would publish what he had writen involving BATTLE OF THE PLANETS--but back then, he had no ideal about rewrites, properly typed pages, self-addressed stamped envelopes, and agents. So, quite possibly in some landfill, out on the East Coast of the United States, his very first writing effort can be found. His very first litterary efforts to ever be published were a series of 'Letters to the Editor' denouncing California's Assualt Weapons Ban, and Gun Control in general. His efforts in preventing such were sadly for not, but it did earn him some attention from Family, Friends, and Co-Workers. Currently, he wroks as a Area Representitive for the Fresno Bee--but is currently looking for a job where no one will mistake him for their 'paper boy' (Customers get really nasty when they don't get their paper, and I'm quite had enought of being ripped into when I go to collect), and as a Sign Holder where all he does for five hours on weekends is hold a directional sign in all kinds of weather (it's $10 an hour, and it helps with the bills). He's also a part of Fanime Con's Tech Staff for the past two years, and a advisor of sorts for Fresno's Ani-Jam Con. And, he hopes that his white 1999 Pontiac Grand Am coupe passes the smog teast this comming November. Other than that, he's a life long resident of Fresno, California--and can be found either as a Carpenter or a Jr. Royal Page at CASTLE MARRACH (www.skotos.com) | |||||||||||
