I am in my mid-30's and two years ago I changed careers. I used to watch a lot of TV, now I pretty much just read about it. The only fan fics I'm interested in at the moment are CSI:NY fan fics, with either a Danny/Lindsay or Flack/Lindsay pairing. (I added the Flack/Lindsay after ep 416.)
The only TV shows I watch/TIVO are CSI:NY, CSI, and Without a Trace. I guess I’m a morbid soul.
I used to love Danny’s character (before the writers killed it) because he was the only character they delved into deeply enough for me to really form an attachment with. Plus, Carmine is a great actor. I think the first episode I saw was “Risk.” I thought it was kind of interesting, but I couldn’t stop watching Carmine. It wasn’t love at first sight, but he was definitely interesting to look at. I think it was the glasses.
My first love was CSI:Crime Scene Investigators. I don’t really ship for anyone on that show. I LOVE HODGES!! (In a different way than I love Danny.) He’s such an arrogant, self-promoting brown-noser, and I love his interactions with Grissom. He’s so funny. I used to love Greg when he was a geek, but then he went all cool and lost his charm.
Fan Fics
Previously I didn't read much angst, but post 416 I've started writing it. Usually I like happy endings. After all, I have enough of real life.
"Lindsay Comes Home" was my first fan fic as well as my first attempt at writing fiction. The writing process scared me because even though I had planned my story, it started going another direction as I wrote it. I've come to enjoy it now. I hope you all enjoy my writing and give me constructive criticism!
