Author has written 3 stories for Yu Yu Hakusho, and Gundam Wing/AC. Hi. So, I've been gone for quite some time now... Maybe I can get some more crap written, and post it up here. Perhaps it will be good this time, and gain a few decent reviews. I don't know why, but even with all of the flames, and all of the harsh criticism, I still come back to this site... Ah, well... When I get decent shit up here, let me know what you think. Thanks. About me: Name: call me Wings Age: 20 (well, a month and a half away) Gender: Female (big shocker there, huh?) Residence: SWPA (South Western Pennsylvania) Goals: to accomplish something with this life that I live Dream: to be a great novelist Quotes: "Fairy tales do not teach children that dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales teach children that dragons can be killed." -G.K. Chesterton "One death is a tragedy. One million deaths is a statistic."- Stalin "A house does not rest upon the ground. A house rests upon a woman." -Mexican Proverb "Am I, or the others, crazy?" -Albert Einstein Things I like: reading, writing, drawing, painting, coloring, cooking, doing research (just because I want to), smoking hookah/cigarettes/cigars/other stuffs, shopping, taking pictures (not photography- i'm not nearly good enough for that), listening to music (i'll listen to anything- literally), watching tv/movies, collecting hats Favorite color: Purple Other useless info (that you probably don't even want to know): I'm happily attached to my boyfriend of almost six months, I used to be a lesbian (might still be, if I break up with my boyfriend), I live at home (but luckily, my boyfriend gets to live with me), I tend to be a very odd person most of the time, I love to make new friends, I have bi-polar II disorder, I've been locked down in a psych ward (woo-hoo!), I've traveled to many places- almost every state, and a few countries: Saudi Arabia (lived there), Jordan, Egypt, and, of course, Canada, and i hate making decisions. I know a lot of people won't even bother to read any of this, but if you have, I applaud you. Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings. If you have any questions for me, please feel free to email me. :) If you want to IM me, I have MSN Messenger: mjgraham29@msn.com- feel free to add me. Just some more useless ramblings: I've been doing some research on quintessence, and it's all very interesting. For those of you who don't know, quintessence is known as the "fifth element." You know how there's fire, water, earth, and air? Well, quintessence is the fifth, and sort of the main one. It's like the "spirit" part of everything in the world. Now, in modern physics, it's considered "dark matter" that is the reason for the decay of the universe, but that's a whole other topic. Quintessence is like Feng Shui, in a way. It's what connects everything together. Quintessence is sometimes represented by an octogram (a star, of sorts, with 8 points). Each point represents: protection, spiritual enlightenment, resurrection, rebirth, infinity, and abundance. Ancient alchemists/physicists used gold to represent quintessence. Gold represents the perfection of all matter- including mind, spirit, and soul. However, gold is also used to represent the Sun- which should really tell us something about how important people used to think quintessence was. But, since quintessence can't be seen or felt or otherwise "proven" in any way, I suppose interest fell away from it in favor of the other four elements, which could be much more easily described and actually had physical properties. Quintessence is sort of like the "spirit" of all living things. It is "within and all around" us. Pentacles represent the five elements. The top point is always quintessence. That's all I know so far. There's a book, though, that I want to get that might have more information for me. A Treasury of Traditional Wisdom by Whitall N. Perry contains bits and pieces of every religion and science from several, several years ago. It's supposed to be way before it's time and stuff. Sounds interesting, and I desperately want to read it. If any of you manage to get your hands on it, tell me how it is, please. (pretty, pretty please) Or, if you know where to get a digital copy for free, that'd be even better. (heheh, i'm a cheep ass) Okay, so I guess that's enough of my random, useless shit. Have a great day! ~Wings | |||||||
