I'm 22 (female) and now graduate school. I am addicted to fan fics and I review all the time :).

I love to edit people's stories and I believe I will make an excellent Beta Reader. I edited my older sister's essays when she was in high school and university and I was in junior high and high school (respectively). I have registered at Perfect Imagination to become a Beta Reader and am going through the process now. Let me know if you want me to edit.

So those are my favorites for fanfiction!

My favorite show on TV is Grey's Anatomy - I'm addicted!! And I love CSI as well, though haven't had a chance in a while, and they're a little slow on the character development - and I think Grissom is too old for Sara, and they just don't fit... I've recently started watching CSI:NY, mainly because of Danny/Lindsay(Montana). House is good as well, mainly for the writing and humor. I watch Law and Order: SVU not as regularly, cuz I end up catching reruns most of the time. And a new show I sometimes watch is Private Practice (the Grey's Anatomy spin-off), it looks good so far!

I read mainly Harry Potter fics now! With a few Trory or Rogan (Gilmore Girls) fics through in for good measure.

Dislikes:

-Poor grammer and typos in stories -- a little effort and your story could improve greatly!
-Twincest and Incest --both wrong on so many levels
-Stories that show some time before the characters realize they like each other, and then jump straight from the first kiss to "I love you" to marriage. Often within the same paragraph. There's more to a relationship than "I love you" and "marriage" after the first kiss-- show the relationship building in between!
-Snape stories with young girls (who are minors in school). They just scream "statuatory rape" to me!
Absolutely brilliant stories being left at cliffhangers for years and not being finished... pleaseee finish your amazing stories!!

I review every story I read. Most of the time I try to leave some comments or point out a part I particularly liked or an area I thought could be improved. Sometimes I just leave a line or two because it's a cute one-shot that's just there for a shot of romance, comedy, or something else.

My Stories:

I have a few ideas down and am kinda currently writing an L/J fic. But I had 6 courses this semester, am president of my volunteering group, and have a lot going on in my personal life too. So I'll try to get it out soon, but dunno! I don't want it to be really long between updates before it's finished. I am usually the reader of stories and I know how frustrating it is to be engrossed in a story only to have to abruptly stop and not be updated for weeks/months/years! However, as a new writer, I also understand the frustration of lack of reviews. The stats show how many people read the story, but apparently there isn't enough appreciation (or lack thereof) to leave a review (good or bad). When this changes, perhaps I'll add more?

Story: The toilet paper and the Invisible Being; Published: 12/22/08.
Status: Chapter 3 added 01/01/09.
Goal: Chapter 4 written and updated by mid-summer 2011. Sorry, I'm in graduate school now, and really busy!
Incentives: 46 readers, but ONLY 2 reviews per chapter? It would be awesome if more readers left a review! More reviews = faster writing! ;)

Status: Completed. But should I continue it?
It just popped into my head and I wrote it. I want to write more for TTPatIB, but the lack of reviews has disheartened me. I guess since I review everything I read, the lack of reviews affects me more than other readers?
