About Me Hey, I'm Lioness. Well, that's what most people on here call me. I've been on FanFiction.Net for six years. I have been actively writing my own fanfictions since then, and I still very much enjoy it, though I am a great deal slower to get it up than I used to be because of the demands of Darth Real Life. I am also working on several fantasy novels in my own worlds which I hope to one day publish, which also takes up a great deal of my time these days. I am an avid reader and love to read just about any genre of fiction I can get my hands on. My favorite authors are Jim Butcher, Brandon Sanderson, and Brent Weeks. My favorite books include works by those authors (such as the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks, for example) and many more, such as The Road to Avalon by Joan Wolf, and The Five Hundred Kingdoms series by Mercedes Lackey to name two examples. The fandoms that I’m really into reading and writing right now are Robin Hood BBC, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Merlin (also BBC), Once Upon A Time, and Marvel/The Avengers. I absolutely love all of them, and I support Arthur/Morgana, Gwaine/Morgana, Starkiller/Juno, Snow/Charming (not David/Mary Margaret), Emma/Graham, Emma/Hook, Belle/Rumpelstiltskin, Robin/Marian, Nine/Rose, Eleven/Clara, and Clint/Natasha. My In-Progress Fics (comments and notes on their current statuses) Jarred Cooper: Shades of Grey (Tamora Pierce/Tortall/Song of the Lioness/Provost's Dog Era; Sequel to Piper's Rain) - I'm still working on this, albeit very slowly. Real life has gotten in the way of my writing time and this was the first to suffer from that. I do have the whole fic planned out and a lot of it is written...but there are a lot of gaps and a lot of editing and rewriting needs to be done, since it was my NaNoWriMo '09 project and that caused an incredible amount of burnout for the fic and for the fandom. That and Bloodhound and Mastiff kind of killed my love for the series. Never Surrender (Robin Hood BBC) - Still working on this, too. Got sidetracked by real life and then got stuck on how the next part of the fic is supposed to go. It started as a simple 'I want to write an AU to season 1' and evolved from there. I am a Robin/Marian shipper before I'm a Guy/Marian shipper, so it's not going to be heavily G/M and will probably end up somewhat R/M. Star Light, Star Bright (Star Wars; The Force Unleashed/Intertrilogy Era) - This one wasn't really intentional. I just sort of ended up with it bouncing around in my head during the end of UDC when I had been playing The Force Unleashed a lot in August '10 and on a weekend or two. It's still not done, but I'll get there. Eventually. I just love the dynamic between Starkiller and Juno, so it was sort of something that I just had to write anyway, despite how slow it's been going. Lack of time will do that. And being away from the game for long periods of time. This may spawn a full-length fic if I have time to write it. Sanctuary for All (Sanctuary) - This, like Tales From Sherwood and Star Light, Star Bright, is for the Ultimate Drabble Challenge - UDC6, this time. I wanted to try another fandom that I haven't written in, and I adored this show when I started (S4 killed it. I'm looking at you, whoever decided to kill off John Druitt.). I really enjoyed writing what I have so far, but this is probably (read: most likely) the last of my forays into Sanctuary fic. Recently Completed/Posted(Not entirely up to date) And All the Things You Left Behind (Avengers/Bourne Legacy crossover) - This fic is part of a larger story I have in mind, where one of my headcanons for Clint Barton's origin - that he is a cover identity for Aaron Cross - comes into play. It's definitely Clint/Natasha and there probably will be a couple more Clintasha pieces in the series before I'm done with it. There's more to come...perhaps just not immediately. Coming Soon Beauty Will Rise (Robin Hood BBC) Status: In planning; started after Never Surrender is completed. Working title. Ashes Remain (Marvel's The Avengers) Status: In planning. Current Projects (a.k.a. Currently Working On) Never Surrender Chapter 11 (95% complete) Updates November 19, 2011 - I suppose it's been too long since I put anything up on this page. Life went a little crazy (again) and I just haven't had time to write at all (much to my great displeasure) and what little time I have had has been spent trying to get out of the writer's block this insanity that is known as my schedule has caused. It's not easy, but it's getting there. Updates will be slow until at least December, but I've got a few oneshots and an update or two nearly ready. And more plot bunnies than I need bouncing around in the back of my head...not to mention reanimated bunnies (blame Christopher Paolini for publishing Inheritance, because it's got ideas for Embers, which I ended a long time ago, stuck in my head). May 26, 2012 - So, this whole no outside link thing is really getting on my nerves. Not that I've had a whole lot of time to update anyway. Things have been insanely busy, so I've only had time to write oneshots if that much. I'm working on getting some of my fics updated, since everything came to a screeching halt around August last year. Not much else to say other than that. July 18, 2012 - It turns out that my summer has been busier than I imagined it would be, so I really haven't had a whole lot of time to write. Another excuse, I know, but the summer has already gone by so quickly that it doesn't feel like it should be mid-July. I've been thinking about a lot of stuff lately - mainly where I'm going to be taking the fics I'm writing and the novel I'm working on with a friend, and I've decided - despite repeatedly saying the opposite, that I was going to finish it, I'm going to discontinue Bright Eyes. I have very little inspiration for it as it stands and I don't know when I'll get back to it. I still have ideas, so I may rewrite it or reboot it, but I cannot promise that or anything. I've lost interest in the Beka Cooper fandom for the most part these days - mainly due to how little I enjoyed the second and (what I read of the) third books and how much I've written upwards of fifty stories in that fandom. That doesn't mean I'm done - simply that I'm a bit bored at the moment, but that could change. If my Avengers/Clintasha kick wears off any time soon. I'm kind of hoping that it won't. December 28, 2012 - So, the Clintasha kick hasn't worn off. And I've had no time for writing whatsoever. The fics that have gone up lately are from a store that I created a while back and that store is nearly depleted. I'm hoping to build that store back up and still post fics in the next few weeks now that I actually have time...and I'm hoping to try to get back into my WIPs while I have time. Not sure how that's going to work out. A lot of time is being devoted to making banners and icons and other graphics for various purposes. I'll be trying, though. March 31, 2013 - Still haven't updated my blog. Whoops. I've been massively busy (which is why y'all have only gotten oneshot from me of late), but I am working on Never Surrender - the next chapter is in editing. Also made some headway on Sanctuary For All. I'm hoping to get that done by the end of the summer at least. One project at a time, I guess. Mainly, though, I'm working in The Avengers, mostly S.H.I.E.L.D. characters, like Clint, Natasha, Coulson, and Maria Hill. Probably going to stay there for a while, though I do have some ideas for an old fandom or two. I've still got ideas in mind for a Bright Eyes reboot, so hope is not lost. I'm also playing with other reboot ideas that might surprise y'all. We'll just have to see. April 30, 2013 - So, the flash drive that I had all of my fics on is kind of missing. No idea where it is. Looked everywhere and everywhere I was between when I had it and when I noticed it was missing. The unfortunate thing is that it had the chapters of things I had finished and those are all gone because somebody didn't back everything up after her external harddrive took a flying lesson last year. Also, my dog died. Hasn't been the greatest six weeks ever. We'll see what the damage is once I have time to sit down and do something that isn't tumblr. Oops.
