Author has written 55 stories for Inheritance Cycle, Song of the Lioness, Immortals, Tamora Pierce, Protector of the Small Quartet, Beka Cooper series, Twilight, New Jedi Order, Labyrinth, and Star Wars.

About Me

Name: Lioness (Yes, I know, that isn't my name, but that's what people on FF.net call me)

Bio: I don't really have a lot to say about myself, to be truthful. I love reading, and writing even more(else, I probably wouldn't be on here). My favorite authors include Garth Nix, Robin McKinley, Anne McCaffrey and J.R.R. Tolkien, though the list of authors I like other than those five could go on for ages and ages. My absolute favorite, though, is David Eddings, most particularly his Elenium and Tamuli trilogies - he will certainly be missed in the literature world.

Terrier
, (by Tamora Pierce) is my all-time favorite book (though Bloodhound is nowhere close), just as Rosto the Piper is my favorite character (and has been since I got my copy of Terrier to re-read it after about six months between the time I got to read it the first time and when I got my own copy..). That would certainly explain why I tend to write more Terrier themed fics than anything else. I've read Bloodhound, but I personally don't think it was as good as Terrier, though it was acceptable, and I still think that Dale Rowan (who I have now dubbed 'Chipmunk Boy' as every time I think of him, I see a picture of Dale from Chip & Dale in my head) is horrible, mainly due to the fact that he isn't developed at all, and that is a pet peeve of mine. Oh, and the whole relationship he had with Beka...not working for me. I'm a Roska girl, and I don't think that's going to change, because there is no way TP can come up with a character who is more epic than Rosto the Piper.

Obviously, the other thing that I really enjoy writing is Star Wars, but we can blame the fact that I borrowed my dad's copies of the movies when I was about seven and watched them over and over and over again. But, surprisingly, Star Wars isn't my favorite movie anymore(it's still high on my list, though). Labyrinth is another of my favorites, and is just totally amazing. My most recent favorite is Howl's Moving Castle, which my best friend introduced me to. Howl's Moving Castle is really awesome, and addicting, too. Other than that, really, I just love those obscure movies that no one else seems to have heard of.

I've not too recently passed my second anniversary of being on Fanfiction, and I'm still loving it. Though, I have been through the archives of the Tamora Pierce section looking for Beka/Rosto fics about five (okay, more like fifteen) times...I want more, and I don't want any of it to have Dale Rowan(see Bloodhound) to ruin it in any way, shape, or form. That includes existing at all. Obviously, it is my opinion that Beka and Rosto are meant to be together, and I stand by that, even after reading Bloodhound and seeing a huge lack of Rosto-y goodness.

I also like the Chronicles of Narnia, Twilight (I'm not one of those obsessed Twilighters, though, and to be honest, I'm starting to get rather tired of it), The Inheritance Cycle (except for Brsingr, which I don't think is all that great...), Crown Duel, and the Dresden Files, but I'm not quiet so opinionated about those books, besides the fact that I'm not so sure I like the Harry/Anastasia pairing from Small Favor (Dresden Files). I still like Harry/Murph, and I probably always will (Loved Turn Coat for the most part, though I'm mourning the loss of an interesting character from the series). They're meant to be together...if only they would get over it and get together already, I would be extremely happy. But, progress has been made, at the least, so I am content to wait for book twelve.

When it comes to the classics, I'm a purist, and don't believe that fanfiction should be based on them, or have crossovers into them. That's just my opinion, really. I love Lord of the Rings, Narnia, and all sorts of other ones, really, and a few of the movie versions. I do have a guilty pleasure on that count, though - I like to read Suspian in the Narnia movieverse. But only based in the movie version. I figure, hey, it's already off-kilter to the books anyway, so why not. I blame boredom for that one, though...

As for my writing, I don't tend to write fluff. In fact, I think I'm absolutely horrible at writing fluff or romance for the most part, though I'm getting better with it at this point. I write more angst and tragedy than anything else. I'm very much a realist when I'm writing fanfiction, despite being an idealist in life. Go figure there. I tend to let out the majority of whatever angst I get with fanfiction (which should explain all of the angst I write, shouldn't it...), so, oddly, I don't tend to feel the majority of it. Once again, go figure. Than again, the music I listen to may have some relation to that...I listen to a variety of music, ranging from Jars of Clay to Josh Groban to Plumb to Super Junior and so on. My current favorites are the Christian hard rock/metal group, Skillet, and the J-pop group Arashi. I also tend to stick random homages (from just about anything I like) into what I write, though only I may see them sometimes.

Aside from my fanfictions, I have started writing my own novel - actually, a series of novels, set in my own world with some very interesting plots and characters. I'm doing some major planning on those, so my fanfictions have been pushed back on the priority list a bit because of that.

Stories:

Inheritance Cycle

Embers is the first fanfic I ever wrote with the intention of it being a fanfiction. I started it in January of '07, and rewrote it over that summer. It's completely outlined and slowly fell into place plot-wise. It was basically my version of Brisingr, since I started it long before we were even getting news about said third volume. It does not focus on Eragon as much, though, because it mainly follows the journey of an original character of mine, a female Dragon Rider called Miriah, her dragon, and the story of how they help bring about Galbatorix's fall. It was on hold for a year and a half, and recently discontinued because I just can't find the time or interest to write it anymore, sadly. If I do start writing it again, I would rewrite it and start from the beginning, so it's possible, though very unlikely that I'll work on it again any time soon.

Miriah, Forever A Rider is also based on Eragon, and a sort of sidestory to Embers. It a drabble series that was basically supposed to show 100 glimpses into Miriah's life before, during, and after Embers. It was ended because not only do I not have time for it, but it's really, really hard for me to make something exactly a hundred words.

Tortall - Song of the Lioness Era

Tigress of Legend: Right of the Tigress is the first of a duology(The Tigress of Legend Duology)that I started ages ago - it was my first Tortall fic, under the title Alanna, Tigress of Shang. It's basically my chronicling of how I think it would have been if Alanna had gone to Shang instead of switched with Thom to become a knight.

Tortall - The Immortals Era

Weirynsra is the only Daine themed story I've ever written on my own, and may very well be the only one, since I don't relate to her as well as I do with Alanna, Kel, or Beka. Basically, it started as a oneshot component of a series of character deaths, but, when I got rid of that idea, Weirynsra took on a life of its own. This was completed as of 1/25/08, and will probably not have a sequel, or anything based on it, though it was fun to write. Be warned, when you read it, there are two character deaths in the story.

A Tale of Two Mages was written by me and Buggy based off of a single idea, which has evolved into a story, and an author's note that is a story in itself. The characters are a little OC, but it's meant to be that way...

Tortall - Protector of the Small Era

Hard Spun started out as a simple 'what if Kel had gotten kicked out and had gone back to the Yamani Islands' idea, and has evolved into a descent story. I didn't like it much between writing chapters two and four - I found it to be a pain, when I wanted to work on other stuff, but knew that I have to work on that if I want to get it done. I finished writing it 3/31/08, but (due to my posting schedule) was not completely posted until 4/23/08. It is highly unlikely that it will ever have a sequel, though I have an alternate version outlined, I don't know if I'll ever get around to writing that...

Destiny's Way is based on a short drabble-oneshot called Outcast(First oneshot in The Broken Road), and has become an immense project, but an enjoyable one. Basically, it's set a couple of years after the end of Lady Knight, and, at this point, Kel's been thrown out of Tortall for an act if treachery that she never committed.

Protector in the Distance was a oneshot that I wrote sometime in the spring of 2007, though I had to entirely rewrite it in order for it to be the way I wanted it. I turned it into a twoshot because I wanted to add a bit more to it. It was really fun to write, and I've got a companion oneshot in my head for it, to solve the sort of mini-cliffhanger I left at the end. That may or may not get written any time in the future, depending on the muse, though. Anyway, be warned, there is a character death in it.

Tortall - The Legend of Beka Cooper/The Provost's Dog Era

The Days of Rosto the Piper tells part of what I think Rosto's story is. It's oneshots set in various timeframes, and some in various universes. Rosto's one of my favorite characters, both in the books, and to write about, else, I doubt I'd have this up. It contains only two sets of oneshots that are actually related, I Have No Fate and His Last Chance to Live, and Those Nights and Midnight Talks, respectively, along with four other oneshots; and while I put it down, there may (I say that very tentatively, because I really have no idea) be more eventually.

Jarred Cooper: Piper's Rain, well, the 'Piper's Rain' part of the title is really random, and was actually a working title when I started using it, but I liked it too much to ever change it. This story was inspired by Adagio To A Wolf(Lady Wolf)'s version of Bloodhound, and is about Beka and Rosto's son, Jarred. Jarred has followed in his mother's footsteps, mainly because being a Dog is what he wanted to do, and the fact that Rosto's not around to teach him to be a rusher or expose him to the Court of the Rogue in a way that ..Jarred's story itself (this and the subsequent fics) is sort of my baby - it's my pet project, most of which is planned out in my head and so on. This is one of my most favorite works of mine, and I feel that I've grown enormously since I started writing Piper's Rain in the beginning of January in 2008.

Jarred Cooper: Shades of Grey just happens to be the sequel to Shades of Grey, and another very interesting thing to write. It's set about two and a half months after the end of Piper's Rain, and life isn't going that well for Jarred. He isn't the golden boy of the Dogs like he was when they left for Scanra anymore, because of the revelation of who his father is. So, he's struggling with his relationship with both Beka and Rosto, and also the fact that he's sort of lost, even when he thinks he knows what he's doing and where he's going. Shades of Grey is going to be a very interesting story when things really start playing out.

There's More To Me is a poem that just came out of nowhere. It's Rosto trying to tell Beka that there's more to him than just the surface, and that he's not invincible.

In My Eyes - a twoshot written by myself and Lady Wolf (Adagio To A Wolf), based on her version of Bloodhound, and set almost two weeks or so after the end of Bloodhound - it's posted on her account. I wrote Rosto's POV, and she wrote Beka's. It was really fun to write, and we're in the process of writing more based on it.

Sunlight and Shadows is another of my works with Lady Wolf, as well as the sequel to In My Eyes. It's also posted on her account, and has the same setup as In My Eyes (She writes Beka, I write Rosto). An old flame of Rosto's shows up in Corus wanting something from Rosto, and she's willing to destroy him and Beka to get it...

Piper's Gold is the sequel to Sunlight and Shadows. It's set around Midwinter (about a week before), and we get to meet a member of the Piper's family! Things go awry when that person is kidnapped, chaos ensues...well, more chaos. It's not like Lady Wolf and I weren't going to cause chaos to begin with. Hehe.

Forgetting and Forgotten was a random little oneshot that I wrote about Beka's thoughts about being forgotten. It hit me out of nowhere, but was sort of fun to write.

Undeniable: The Terrier and the Piper is, well, was my attempt at themes. What can I say, I love Beka and Rosto together, and I wanted to try some themes. All you have to do is put two and two together and try to figure out how long it's gonna take me to snatch that up and start on it.

Times Gone By is a very sad oneshot, set about ten years after Terrier, but there are alot of reference to favored characters dying or leaving Corus...it really hurts to be a character in my favorite book...at that, it hurts to be my favorite character in general, in Rosto's case...

The Call was inspired by the song 'The Call' by Regina Spektor, which I heard at the beginning of the credits in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. I listened to it a few (okay, a lot) times, and the chorus (I'll come back, when you call me/No need to say goodbye) inspired the beginning of the threeshot, and it just took on a life of its own. I really enjoyed writing it, and I think that it turned out better than I expected. I have written a sequel, and it's currently in editing at the moment, so it should be posted soon.

My iPod Shuffle Challenge Response is also Beka/Rosto themed, since I went through the whole list of what I could find in the whole archive and only found about three sets that included a Beka/Rosto, and I had been wanting to write some of those, so I gave it a try. I think they turned out pretty well, and I managed not to kill Rosto off in either chapter, so that's good.

Memories of Never was inspired by the reading of another fanfiction (which I read over a year ago) and late-night thoughts while I was trying to go to sleep. It's set in Ireland, and (obviously), is Beka/Rosto...it's currently a oneshot, but I'm seriously considering continuing it once I've got a few more things off my plate...

New Days and Old Friends started out as a scene that popped into my head late at night in June and wouldn't go away until I got the scene out of my head. It also served as a character study for me, because I needed to get into Beka's head a little bit better, as well as see how Jarred was portrayed in my mind when he was younger. Lady Wolf graciously allowed me to borrow her character Lockhorn for the oneshot, and it was very fun to write. If I can, I'd actually like to do more set around that timeframe.

Bright Eyes is my attempt a modern version of Terrier! With a large number of differences, mind you. The version I'm working on is very different from the version that was originally going through my head (the biggest difference being with Rosto's job). There are so many possiblities, and I've got a ton of plot bunnies bouncing around in my head for later chapters...

Unbreakable is a oneshot very simliar to Times Gone By in that it's brimming with angst and is rather tragic. That can only be blamed on the fact that I was very depressed and upset about something that was going on at the time and I had to get it out. At the moment, I'm considering writing a companion piece in Beka's point of view...

The Way is Shut is the product of fanfiction on the brain, watching Lord of the Rings straight through, and listening to Anakin's Betrayal from the Revenge of the Sith soundtrack. Who knew that Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Terrier could create such an interesting product...

As the World Falls Down, the companion piece of The Way is Shut, is much less dark than aforesaid oneshot, and less angsty; I can't decide which I like better, because the styles used on them are very different, and good in their respective ways. Both of them are sad, but this one slightly less so, because (for once!) there isn't an actual death in it, though the ending can be interpreted as a death, if you want it to be. It's all about the way you want it to end.

Remember Me is another oneshot that I blame on movies. I watched one (which I won't name) the day I wrote that, had a bit of angst attack that night, and ended up writing that to get the angst to go away. Also, for the record, Rosto did not die of some mysterious illness. He died of a broken spirit, which is entirely different - he gave up the will to live, and did not want to go on; his body was perfectly fine other than that.

Keep That Faith, ironically enough, was mainly inspired by the J-Rock (Japanese rock music) song 'Keep the Faith' by KAT-TUN. It was one of the little scenes that came to me (along with a number of others that weren't quite so fluffy) while I was listening to it. I had been wanting to write something non-angsty and fluffy for a while, so it was just perfect. I also unintentionally making it so that I posted the second part, where the real fluff was, on Valentine's Day. Pretty awesome, if you ask me, and the fic itself it pretty good, too.

Letting Go really just came out of a really bad angstfest I had, but fits really well into what is and isn't known about Rosto the Piper, though he is my favorite character, before Bloodhound is released. The whole mask concenpt is something I really favor when it comes to Rosto, because there is a huge posiblity that he isn't what he seems to be in Terrier. Mind you, I really don't want Rosto to turn out to be the bad guy, since I just adore the character, but it's all still up in the air. But if he does turn out to be the mastermind behind all of that, I am not going to happy when I find out...

Yourself also came out of that angstfest, but it came out of the acceptance part, and just popped into my head after I got back from going out to a movie with a couple of my friends. It isn't exactly what I had in mind, but all-in-all, I'm pretty happy with it.

Rat and Dog, a very belated birthday present to Navigator101 (which she selected as the scene she wanted), is finally another non-angsty oneshot. I'm very pleased with it, and at the moment (which is March 14), I'm considering continuing it, or at least extending it into a twoshot. It's probably one of my better non-angst pre-establishment Roska (Rosto/Beka) oneshots, I think...

Falling in the Black can only be blamed on my forte being angst and tragedy, the song Falling Inside the Black by Skillet, and watching Jane Eyre with my best friend (by which time I had already come up with the idea and had part of the first chapter done, and that only compounded it), plus my really warped imagination and a sudden desire to write something like it for some reason. I really love it, personally, and it was one of my favorite short stories to write, and I'm very, very pleased with how it turned out. I might even consider doing a sequel eventually.

Mad As A Bear With A Thorn In His Paw, which actually has my favorite quote from Bloodhound (pg. 469, near the bottom of the page), though it's only part of the full quote, and I don't like the rest of it nearly as much, is the first of the missing moments for Bloodhound that I wrote. I just had to write this after the huge lack of Rosto in the book, because he is my favorite character and I was disappointed that he was barely in it at all. Besides, it was fun to write Rosto when he was mad. Hehe...

Wake-Up Call is my second missing moment and was suggested by Navigator101 - I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as MABWATIP, (Wow, it's even long as an acronym...) but it turned out pretty well, all in all.

Immaterial is the third and quite possibly my favorite of my missing moments (there are indeed more on the way, I just haven't gotten to them yet). It's the much needed talk between Beka and Rosto that was left out of the book (which I was disappointed not to see, becuase there was no closure of the matter for either Beka or Rosto that we saw) at the end. There is going to be a followup when I get a chance to write it, as well.

Your Guardian Angel, the sequel to The Call, was inspired by a song by that name by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and was rather fun to write. It has a lot of overly dramatic Rosto, and quite a bit of angst, but I love it, and think that it's rather fitting - and sort of realistic, as it's a bump in the road of their life together, and that's bound to happen. I'm actually considering a sequel to this, but it's no more than ideas being bounced around in my head at the moment, but who knows, maybe next year I'll have something new in that universe!

Shine was really just sort of random angst. I can't remember for the life of me where it came from, but it certainly turned out really well, and very poetically, which was what I was aiming for. Again, like a lot of my little drabble-shots, it's from Rosto's point of view, and angsty. But, what else is to be expected - this is me we're talking about, after all...

Chaotic Resolve started out a lot differently than it ended up - it started out as a oneshot that randomly popped into my head while I was talking to my mom over breakfast. I was only planning on writing it and two sequel oneshots, but, obviously, that didn't quite work out. It was originally posted under Bittersweet, before I even considered turning it into a full-fledged story. But, it had a mind of its own, and Beka and Rosto sort of took it hostage. It's really fun to work on, and that's not just because there's a healthy dose of angst in it. It's set in an AU (though it is completely compliant with Bloodhound) set ten years post-Bloodhound, where things didn't go quite smoothly. Beka has a son, and Rosto is involved with someone else, while it's been years since they saw each other, and Rosto is very bitter towards her due to something that happened to him that he thinks she's responsible for. But, things will get interesting, because they're still very attracted to each other, despite everything that happened.

Gone is a somewhat short oneshot in the same vein as a number of my other ones - it's angsty and tragic, as per usual, but it turned out pretty good. It's another thing that sort of just popped into my head when I was thinking about events post-Bloodhound. It's in a limited point of view, and therefor has some holes in it (because it's mainly what Beka is feeling for a moment), and it might be a tad repetative at points, but I'm pretty happy with that, too.

Regret, the companion to Gone, is also a limited point of view oneshot, but it's from Rosto's point of view, and is based on his side of the story. I really liked writing that one, and it's got this whole plotline running around in my head that I don't really have time to write, but it has great potential. One day, I might actually write it, but, for the moment, it will remain two limited perspective oneshots.

Love in the First Degree is something I've co-written with Navigator101. It's the first thing I've really set in Beka's time that hasn't really had that much to do with her and Rosto. They will be making an appearance in it, but it focuses on the original characters Kai Lorien, a Shang Warrior, and Lessa Rialie, a member of the Court of the Rogue. It actually started out as something entirely different - we weren't even planning on writing a story together, but it just fell into place. It's definitely something to look forward to, in my opinion - it's been great fun to write, and I hope that it's that much fun to read.

General Tortall(multi-era)

Hero's Song is a bunch of songfics that are based on the music I listen to, and my sometimes very warped imagination. Usually updated about every week or so, depending on the time I have, and whether or not I have a songfic to post. The genres very from Christian music(which is most of what I listen to) to Country(Rascal Flatts mostly), to whatever is requested that I can find something to do with.
Status: 50 songfics as of 4/14/09

The Broken Road started out as a single oneshot, and has become a series. The oneshots are short, and you only find out who it is about at the end. As of now, this is includes Outcast, Dead Man Walking, Dragon's Gift, Standing Tall, Shattered Song, Losing Kitten, A Dog's Loyalty, Falling, Ashes, and Darkening Whispers. Most of those have the potential to become full-fledged fics, and who knows, Outcast may not be the only one that has something based on it. I have ended this series at this point, but may one day return, it all depends on whether or not I get more inspiration.

You Never Know,(working title, final title still being decided) formerly titled 'As The Days Pass', is a oneshot series with my friend Buggy, in an attempt to create a funny death scene for each character. Our next one was supposed to be George, but, since Buggy was busier then I, and has moved since the beginning of the summer in 2008, we probably won't be writing any more of these... (Last updated 10/31/07 with 'Jon, Why Are You Wearing A Dress?' 2/7/08 with Daine: Another Bookcase??, 3/3/08 with Myles and the Amazing Flocknobbinweha, and 3/9/08 with Beka say WHAT?!)

Celestial Memory, the first story in a series, is about an original character of mine, Rhiannon of Celisa. It's set a few generations after Kel's era, when there are many girl pages and squires. Rhia dreams of becoming a page, even more so after she is kidnapped by bandits. At the palace, she meets Fayt of King's Reach. Their friendship soon becomes a bond that will last a lifetime, through almost any circumstances, but can it survive when one of them loses their past, and is put on a different road for their future? Discontinued due to lack of inspiration.

Twilight

The Breaking Point was written sometime in the spring or the beginning of summer in 2007, before Eclipse was released. It's an AU oneshot fic to the end of New Moon, if Edward had stayed away. Something waits to greet him when he returns to Forks for a visit, and it's one of his worst nightmares. I highly doubt that I will ever write more for it, since it was written as a oneshot, and I have very little inspiration for Twilight fanfics, and what little I have is minimal and far between.

Star Wars - Original Trilogy/Pre-NJO era (0 ABY to 24 ABY)

Never Send a Rogue to Do a Wraith's Job was started when I was on my way back from a vacation, since I was reading the X-Wing books, and wanted to both try my hand at humor, and write something that went in the era. I don't know how good it is, but it was kind of fun to write...

Janson! is the response to a challenge I signed up for on the Jedi Council Forums (boards.theforce.net), where other users dare you to write something that is usually ridiculous. I got this one out of the mix, and had to write it for the competition - it's all dialogue, a first for me, and after I got over the fact that I couldn't describe anything (which I absolutely thrive on), it was pretty fun to write. And I just adore the Wraiths so it was easy to pick which characters to use.

Star Wars - NJO/DNT/LotF era (25 ABY to 40 ABY)

Returning was my response to a challenge from abyssgirl. The prompt was 'Did you see what he just did?' Ironically, the first thoughts that popped into my head was Beka/Rosto, but it then occurred to me that I could make it into a Star Wars LotF fic. It's just one of my slightly out there Anakin Solo returns ideas. This one is a oneshot, but I've done a set of sequel oneshots because I like the storyline, but I didn't have the time nor the energy to write a full-fledged story.

From the Inside Out was initially named after the song I used for the songfic (Animal I Have Become by Three Days Grace), but I decided that I didn't like that as the title. It's intended to show that there is a little bit of good inside Ceadus, and that he's not really Jacen, but I'm not sure how it comes across...

Breathing is the completely necessary sequel to Returning. It's part two of a little mini-series I've now started. I've been writing quiet a bit of Star Wars lately...maybe I should take a break from reading those books...hehe...

This Galaxy of Ours: Darkness and Light is a poem that I wrote very late at night and have absolutely no idea what I was thinking when I wrote it...I rather like it, though. There may be more to that, too, if I ever get around to it...

This Galaxy of Ours: The Blades of Heroes is another poem in the sort of series - it's also NJO through LOTF, and is intended to sort of immortalize some of the characters who died during those books.

Changing is the final volume of the oneshot trilogy that I started way back in March with Returning. It contains the final battle between Anakin Solo and Darth Caedus - as I think it should have gone. Being as I'm a firm believer that Anakin should have returned in Invincible, I'm far more pleased the way this turned out than Legacy of the Force did.

Labyrinth

Too Late to Care was a scene that got stuck in my head...I seem to have rather violent fantasies, now that I think about it...ah, well...it's full of angst, and it has a character death in it, so be warned. This was mainly the result of Buggy having me watch Labyrinth with her (quite willingly) and me loving it...it was a good movie, though I doubt that I'll get much more inspiration for it.

Destiny's Way (2)

Winter-Spring '08: Everything else is still going to be worked on as often as I can, I just need to cut down on the projects that I'm working on right now, since I have seven other fics of my own that I'm working on, plus one with Lady Wolf, one with another of my friends, and multiple ones with Buggy.

September 24, 2008:
Unfortunately, due to the fact that my Terrier fics, Piper's Rain in particular, have taken over my mind, I have not had time to get back to any of these as I planned to. I'm down to only one (posted) epic that I've been writing on my own, and one each with Buggy, Lady Wolf, and my best friend, so I might be able to get back to something when I have some other stuff (some of which, I might point out aren't posted) done, and I can get back into the mindset of the characters.

November 26, 2008: Despite the fact that I have not taken anything off of hold as of yet, I have made a few changes - now the fics are numbered in the order that I intend to take them off hold. That could change. Also, I've decided to discontinue Celestial Memory for a number of reasons, if only because it will be a long time before I get back to that, since it was the last on the list that would be taken off. Other than that, the plan is for me to get a couple of other fics done, and then I'll get started on these...

January 22, 2009: Again, another fic is done, but it wasn't the one I thought it would be - instead of Right of the Tigress, I caved in and put up the last of what I had for Forever A Rider stashed on my computer. They had been sitting there for over a year and a half. But, since I've gotten that done, my plans still include finishing each of those epics, and whatever else I post. It will take me a while, but I will do it. Eventually.

April 16, 2009: Okay, so my plans to get back to any of these failed miserably. I've run into a complete and utter writer's block for RotT, so it is now the second to be taken off hold after Embers, which - now that I've gotten my hands on the audiobook version of Brisingr - has recently had some work done on the next chapter, though my muse is not being precisely kind to me with it. (Thank goodness for the notes I wrote up last year!) My focus is still on my Terrier fics, but I'm going to try to get to Embers, because I love the story, and I'm a bit more interested in it now that I've got Brisingr.

August 29, 2009: I am sad to say that Embers has been discontinued. It's unfortunate, but necessary - I can't find any inspiration, and between the soccer season, all of the other work I have to do, the novel I'm getting ready for NaNo this year, and just liked in general, I don't have time for it. I honestly love it, but its time is over for now. Eventually it may come up again (in a few years maybe), but I'm done with it for now. The two remianing stories are still up there on my update-when-I-find-inspiration list, and will be updated when said inspiration strikes and I have time. Who knows, Alanna might actually make it to Shang eventually...
