As for me writing my own fan fic...well, I am a wannabe author...but I am such a painfully slow writer that I haven't been able to do more than a few lines before giving up in frustration. I have a head full of story ideas, but not the will (or skill/spare time) to sit down and write. So I vicariously read other authors work, instead.
