Why hello there. (:
I'm a writer, but I haven't written anything for FF.net in a long time. In all honesty, I've been trying to pour most of my energy into writing my first novel-length, non fanfiction story. Every now and then, though, I'll come back to fanfiction when I'm feeling a creative wall on my novel.
These are my works:
Star Ocean 2
Before You Fly: My first fanfiction. For being so green at this, I'm actually kind of happy with my end results. However, there's obviously some mistakes with continuity and just plain bad dialogue. Also, figuring that I decided to make a prequel while in the middle of writing it, I basically chopped up a couple of the chapters. I'm too lazy to fix it, though.
TruthSeeking: Prequel to Before You Fly. I love the story, but I absolutely hate the way I wrote it. While I love the thought of Ashton x Chisato, I destroyed their personalities because I was kind of in a hurry to finish it so I could get back to BYF. Someday, I might rewrite some chapters, but don't count on it.
Journies: While it's technically a prequel to TS and BYF, it really isn't, considering that the only link is the psuedo-AshtonxChisato innuendoes. The thought is great - going through the Cave of Wonders in novel form. Could be a lot of fun. However, by the time I got to this story, I had moved on to other games...and Journies got put on hold indefinately.
Hand in Hand: My favorite SO2 story and my second favorite story I have on FF.net, after Peaceful Revolutions. I have a wonderful and detailed explaination on the first page of the story, so I won't bother writing it here. Chisato x Precis. I kill me. As for self-analysis...eh. I could've done better, and I know it. But it's just fluff, so I'll let it slide
Alpha Centauri
Peaceful Revolutions: My favorite story that I've actually completed. Granted, as this is only the third real story I've ever written, there are some obvious flaws. For one thing, chapter two still doesn't exist because I lack the willpower to rewrite it. There are also some serious personality changes I made (Sheng-Ji / Santiago are far too nice for their real personalities; also, Zakharov is apparently very different than what he's supposed to be). I still love Shila, though, which is probably why I reread this story so often.
A Day Beyond: As of writing this sentence, this is the only story on ff.net that I'm actually working on. Very, very slowly working on, mind you (like, a sentence or two every few days or so)...but I'm working on it. Maybe some day I'll get a chapter up. I have plans for later chapters of this story, though.
Kingdom Hearts - (A little note on this section...if you are mad at me because of these stories, don't bother reviewing, because it is obvious that you are stupid and dumb and all you will end up doing is making me laugh.) (:
Man to Man: Other than very random reviews on my other stories, this is the only story that ever really gets any new reviews every month or so. It's kind of strange, figuring that it's one of my smallest stories and - in all honesty - really isn't that good. I still like it, though, and some people actually get it. You people are who I write for. (: For those of you that continue to flame me in comments, almost four years after I wrote the damn thing, get the hint already.
Riku's Story: I used to like this story a lot, but on a recent re-read, I find it both forced and seeming like I'm trying too hard. Other than that, though, it still amuses me.
The Seminar: I just reread this fic, and I'm surprised at how much I still like it. It's not my best written piece, and it faded into the background really quickly...but it expressed the points I was trying to make really quickly and without quite as much flagrant flaming as I had originally planned using. I think a sequel will be coming up pretty soon.
Manlove and a Birthday party: By far the worst fiction I've ever written. Even if it is slightly funny, it's an homage to everything I hate. Random babbling sentences about stupid crap that doesn't make any sense and trying to make the assumption that it's humor. If it weren't for the fact that it reminds me that I can be a terrible writer if I actual felt like being so, I would delete it very quickly.
Some Facts about Joshua Kenni
I am still against the ban on NC-17 rated fanfiction on ff.net. I find it hard to believe that a website so into the thought of "free expression" would actual limit the kinds of stories that are uploaded. Nothing will change though, I suppose. Thank you so much, Agony in Pink. I wish I knew who wrote you, so I can jab a knife into your gut.
I'm my own worst critic. I hate most of my stories, which is why I'm a pretty slow writer.
I refuse to read the following: (a) Stories with a 'humor' rating, (b) Stories that are formatted as one long paragraph, or (c) any crossover story. The preceeding stories are mainly terrible and I wish they could be electronically burned.
