Hiya, I'm Artemis Ignitan, a.k.a Northwind Gale. Some of you may or may not know me from Serebii.Net Forums, GaiaOnline, or LiveJournal; if not, that's fine too. I hope that my stories can be as good as many of the stories I've read here, and maybe even meet some new writers around here. I'm also often on GaiaOnline under the same name.

I have opened up a LiveJournal account. There, I'm known as northwind_gale. You'll find sketches, rambles, and just silly things in general.

More recently, I've been more active on Tumblr. I'm em-exceeds-change-zearu over there. Anything that ends up there will eventually end up on my LiveJournal, and maybe here too.

Country: Born in the US, but my roots are in Sri Lanka.

Likes: I prefer anime and manga, but because of my education obsessed mother, I have limited access to those. I will only write stories with topics that I feel I have enough knowledge about. The bolded ones are my chosen topics. Italics are ones that I'm interested in, but know near-to-nothing about.

A Whisper in the Wind- Ash has disappeared, and soon, chaos falls upon Kanto. When a mysterious stranger appears from the shadows, what will happen? A Pokeshipping multichaptered fiction.

It's my first story here, and I am glad that it is complete, after half a year of waiting for the final chapter. Hopefully it'll be my first step towards many fics. Well, whaddayaknow, looks like this story has recieved it's very first flamer! It's my first flamer too. It makes me feel so accomplished!

Where this story was originally posted, the Serebii.net Forums (SPPF), the Shipping Oscars have been held for the past two years, where all of us geeky writers get together and celebrate our geek-dom by nominating each other and voting for each other in a series of categories where we placed our shipping fics from many different fandoms and pairings-with Pokemon being the main focus, of course, being that the forum is a Pokemon forum. From the second annual Shipping Oscars, this fic has been nominated for eight nominations and won four. It tied for two, won one because it was the only nominee in it's category, and won the final award normally, edging out one other fic. The awards are:

Stories 2007/2008: Most Dramatic Shipping Plot-Tied with "Final Challenge" by Matkin22.

Stories 2007/2008: Most Romantic Scene That Makes You Cry (Nearly) Every Time-Only Nomination for category, won by default.

Dying the Rose Red- A collection of darkfic drabbles focused around a speculation of a Black Rose Witch Revival. Yu-Gi-Oh!5D's.

Of BooBoos and Trading Cards- Written for "Riding Duel"'s Secret Santa Fic Challenge, for Seraphim Lament on LiveJournal. Crow character drabbles based around him and his orphans. Yu-Gi-Oh!5D's.

Martyr!Verse Series-A series of drabbles which focus around an alternate universe where Yuusei was able to trick Security into thinking that he was the leader of Team Satisfaction. This is a team effort with w nymph, and so each set of drabbles is a companionfic to one of her drabbles. My drabbles are written from Yuusei's POV, hers are written from Kiryuu's.

One Single Change- The first series of drabbles, focusing on the time up to the arrest. Companionfic to The Driven Leader.

Consequences of Change- The second series of drabbles, focusing on the time after the arrest. Companionfic to The Obsessed Hunter.

To Fight Against Change is Futile- The third series of drabbles, focusing on a certian point a few years afterwards. First companionfic to The Lost Friend.

Current Stories

The Adventures of Sparks and Lightning- Co-authored with The Black Fang, a.k.a my buddy Zack. Series of mischiveous oneshots. Introduction complete. Chapter 1 underway. ON HIATUS DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST.

Archer- The land has been deprived of its true heir for much too long...and it is taking its toll on the people. The current ruler decides that it is now time for the true heir to come forth-and his daughter shall be the one to draw him out. The heir, however, may be someone who's past may keep him from claiming his rightful place on the throne... Judai x Asuka.

One and Not the Same- This is a speculation!fic, on one of the many possible interpretations of Yusei's all too possible "darker side". This interpretation involves him being born not as one, but two people, and for the first year of his life, remains as such. This story is told through diary entries written by his father.
