About Me

Hey, I'm Skye Rose (Not my actual name, people. LOL). I'm 16 years old and loving it! I'm in advanced classes in my high school, but I end up writing fanfic and watching TV more than doing actual schoolwork. Oh well, my teachers will just have to deal. I'm a pretty down to earth kid, but I have my quirks.

I write absolutely NO slash stories. I wouldn't be able to do them justice. And I do not write sex scenes. Sorry, just my preference.

I adore Stargate SG-1, Monk, and Psych. I have been watching SG-1 for about 5 years, but just started posting fics. I am a die hard Sam/Jack shipper. I have been following their relationship since I was ten and, as far as I'm concerned, SG-1 ended after season 8. I can't believe they didn't end it with Sam and Jack getting together, but...the deleted scene from "Trio" (Stargate: Atlantis) appeased me a little.

Favorite Poem

This Be the Verse. By: Philip Larkin

They fuck you up, your mom and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.

New Stuff! :)

CHECK OUT... Awesome band called 'The Fleet.' Not by any means mainstream; they're in the baby steps of the music business, but they've got potential. Check out their website at...http://thefleetrock.webs.com

Join their site and show your support! They've got one song at the moment called "Tonight, Tonight" and there is a link so you can download it in iTunes format. Help this band become a success!

I actually set out to reinvent my entire profile (as a whole mid-teenage years crisis thing, finding an identity/sense of self kinda lark), but got as far as changing my previously non-existent avatar before I got lazy. But, that prompted me to write this. So this and my avatar are new. Oh, and the couple of things below this! LOL. Not feeling as lazy as I did three seconds ago. :)

Movies You Should Check Out: (Cause you may not have heard of them, or thought you wouldn't like them. Which you might not. To each his own, folks. ;) Save 'em for a rainy day, if you want.)

1. Repo! The Genetic Opera (I was very skeptical about this, but ended up enjoying it immensely. Almost the entire movie is sung, but not in an annoying 'High School Movie' way. Some great anthems and ballads. Give it a chance...and then check out my Repo! story! LOL.)

2. From Within (Part of AfterDark Films Horrorfest. Normally the films in this production series are less than stellar, but this one is great! You can read my review of the movie at http://www.best-horror-movies.com/from-within-2008-horror-movies-review.html )

3. Dance of the Dead (The Breakfast Club meets George Romero. It's a great teen movie, with some zombies thrown in for good measure.)

4. Night Train (Not an amazing movie, but it does capture human greed and human nature really well. Some great talent in the film too; Leelee Sobieski (The Glass House, Public Enemies), Steve Zahn (Sahara, Strange Wilderness), and Danny Glover (Saw V, Shooter)

I pretty much have no life and have taken it upon myself to be a self-proclaimed movie connoisseur. But I like to call it movie guru. LOL. I like to focus on the B-horror, mystery, suspense movies because there are some really amazing gems hidden in those categories. All four of the listed-above titles only saw theatres in a limited release or not at all. But they are all more than worthy of mention. So, if you need a recommendation, just ask. LOL.

Going on a cruise in a couple of weeks and I have set two goals for myself. LMAO. One: Steal an employee uniform and pose as an employee until I am caught or I get bored. If caught, I'll just claim I can't speak English by stating 'I cannot speak English' in clear English. If they point out this blatant lie, I will simply say 'Prove it.') Two: Have one of those summer fling/romance things I always hear about. LOL. What an aspiration that is. ;)

Have a great summer everyone! (Or whatever season it is where you are!)
