“You shouldn’t…have followed…me,” her voice was weak, pained. His blue eyes went wide. So, she really was the white wolf, but he shook the thought from his mind. He had more important things to deal with. His hand skimmed over her injured shoulder, the bleeding had stopped surprisingly fast, but the wound was deep. He moved her hand away from her stomach, lifting up her sweaty shirt. A bruise was showing on her side, but that wasn’t what had caught his attention.

His blue eyes went wide as he stared at her tattoo. He didn’t remember her having one, but it was there, clear as day. His fingers reached out, tracing the wolf paw print etched around her belly button.

She gave a small laugh, “…that tickles.”

His eyes went soft as he remembered their situation. “I have to get you out of here.” He reached for her, his arms sliding across her shoulders. He lifted her up bridal style, grunting a little with the effort.

“What are you…trying to say?” there was a small smile on her face as she teased him.

“That you’re heavier than you look,” he smiled and looked down. She gave him a slight nod before her eyes closed. She went limp in his arms and he tightened his hold on her. He looked down at her passive face.

She had a lot of explaining to do.

“What are you laughing at, Montez?” He barked.

She smiled innocently back. “Nothing.”

Troy didn’t seem content with her answer and stood, his chair scraping against the floor. Slowly walking towards her, he glanced around to make sure none of his friends were around to see what he was going to do. He plopped down in the seat right next to her, crossing his arms over his chest. “I think I should rephrase my question,” he said in a flat voice. “What was that?”

Her eyes narrowed. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Uh-huh.” He leaned back in the chair, scrunching his eyes at her, unconvinced before asking another question. “Then, what were you doing in my dream?”

“Let me repeat myself,” she said through clenched teeth. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Something changed in his crystal blue eyes. He seemed to collapse in upon himself and as he leaned closer to her, his voice dropping considerably. “But I saw you there not cheering. I ran into you on the court. I don’t know why everybody else didn’t notice, but I was — I was naked.”

She laughed at his fear. He wasn’t different from any of the other jocks after all. Maybe she should feed his fear a little bit, after all, who was going to believe him if he tried to tell anyone?

She leaned closer to him, a sly smile crossing her face, “I know," her eyes shifted downwards and he shifted uncomfortably, “I saw that.”

Troy whipped around, leveling his gun to the pretty brunettes forehead.

Gabriella Montez froze instantly, eyes growing wide. His face itched to show a smile because the woman behind him had a metal trashcan raised over her head, her hands gripped tightly around the rim. She had intended to hit him with it while his back was turned.

This action alone increased his curiosity greatly. He looked into her deep chocolate eyes and did not find fear, which he had expected. Instead, there was anger. Blazing defiance that should not have been there. Under normal circumstances, he would have found the whole situation rather annoying and probably would have shot her on the spot. But now, staring at her and understanding that she was not terrified by him, he was curious.

“Why are you doing this?” Her voice was a mere whisper, but it did not shake with fear. His head tilted ever so slightly at her composer.

“I have killed twelve men today. Do you want to be the thirteenth?” His voice was dead calm. He wanted to test her. How far was the defiance going to carry her?

She locked her jaw and was silent for a moment, eyes still blazing. Her arms started to drop and his finger tightened ever so slightly on the trigger. If she tried something, she’d be dead before the trashcan hit the floor.

“My arms are tired,” she said flatly, eyeing his trigger finger. “I’m just putting it down.”

He let her and once the empty trashcan was on the floor, she straightened. “Why are you doing this?” She repeated sternly.

Here, he let a little smirk cross his face. “Why do you do what you do?”

Her head moved back slightly and she blinked. “It’s my job.”

“Then that’s one thing we have in common.”

A disgusted look crossed her face. “We have nothing in common.” She spat the words like venom at him. “I don’t kill innocent people for a job.”

The barrel of his gun was still pressed to her forehead, but she seemed undeterred by the fact. He set his face blank and stared right back into her deep chocolate eyes. “That is where you are mistaken, Ms. Montez.”

1. Get 100 reviews for a story(complete)

2. Get over 100+ alerts and favorites in author stats(complete)

3. Get 500 reviews for a story(that would be nice)

4. Get 800 reviews for a story(that would be really nice)

5. Have at least 5 stories c2-ed(in progress)

6. Get 1000 reviews for a story(that would be really really nice)

7. Get an offer to make banners for a story(complete)

8. Get an offer to make a youtube trailer for a story(or youtube series)(I wish!)

9. Complete a co-write(my greatest fear!)(um...not sure about this yet, but incomplete)

10. Have someone say that your story is their favorite FanFic of all time.(I think I have, but I could be hallucinating)

11. Write about a paring that isn't your specialty(nope)

12. Help another author(if anyone want's to, just PM me)

13. Update on time(yeah...I used to be really good, back when I wasn't in college...but now not so much lol)

14. Love your stories(I love how weird mine are lol)

15. Have 2000 reviews for a story(I would die!)

16. Have 200+ on all author stats(pshhh. Yeah right!)

17. Write at least 5 one-shots(I'll get there eventually, but all mine end up being two-shots...I wonder if that counts...)

18. Write a sequel to at least two or three stories(1 down, maybe 2 if you count my close to discontinued one)

19. Reply to your reviews(umm I'm not very good at that, sorry guys!!)

20. Keep writing no matter what(that is complete, as in it will always be complete no matter what)
