Author has written 23 stories for Naruto, House, M.D., and Babylon 5. Howdy...! My name is Caliko, or カリコ エッマ, as my pen name suggests. I'm an artist foremost, and a writer second. I can feel since the time I started posting stories on here, I have improved my writing skills, but I still have a very long ways to go. Especially since I want to catch up to Tahle, my best friend. She rocks, and I hope she writes more in the future. Literary-wise, my inspirations are my abc's, Jane Austen, Ray Bradbury, G. K. Chesterton, Joseph Conrad, Dickens, and etc…I'm very influenced by music, too. Anything bluegrass, but I also grew up on Alanis Morissette and other stuff. I play the violin, mandolin, and try to play piano and guitar. I have short fingers, so the latter two don't do very well. I'm a bitter typical white person who clings to God and my guns. I write for sci-fi (B5; etc.) and anime (currently Naruto...). I usually write at night, but I love to write any time of day, every day, and draw my silly pictures in the meantime. (It kind of goes in cycles.) I really like to write and think about Konoha no Shiroi Kiba, and I often get lost on the path of life. (With Cou). = ) Update: 07-20-11: Late last year some time, ff dot net was kind enough to change their formatting, and I regret that since re-posting Cou soon after that happened, I have not fixed every story on here. (The paragraph breaks, the dashes I had in places had gone missing, making some things appear a runny mess.) I had fixed Cou, Princes Familiar, Water Violet, and others, but some are still perhaps damaged, and I still haven't taken the time to change it (please bash my skull in somebody). So I think only TotW I must fix yet, not sure, and one or two others. Not sure. But most everything else is all right. 11-08-11: Also! As a note on Coushander, which I did try to make weather. Read the publish date(s) in case any more new revelations come out in the manga. Thank you. 02-14-2012 - Caliko is back. It's been a while. I'm sorry for running off and abandoning everyone! I have been working on something publishable. Strangely, it's not unlike Coushander, but it is different. And before I tell myself I am a one trick pony, I have other ideas for stories because I figured something out. Writing is my true, foremost passion and even though I'm still struggling and I'm not as good at it as a lot of you on here, it is the one thing that brings me joy to read and to write in my free time. So to jump on Kishimoto's bandwagon--once you find a dream, never give it up!
