About Fandoms:

Books: I have been involved in the online Harry Potter community since about 05/06, though I have been a fan for a lot longer. I've been a fan of Twilight since shortly after the second book came out in late 2006. I'm somewhat involved in the online fan community, but I've been overwhelmed by the sudden influx of fans (and anti-Twilighters) in the past couple years so I mostly avoid it now. I read The Mortal Instruments Trilogy in 2009 after prompting from a friend and finding out that it was written my a very well known former Harry Potter fanfiction author.

TV: In 08/09 I because utterly obsessed with CSI:NY and Bones. Both shows are still favorites of mine, though the initial fervor had died out slightly. I have been a fan of Glee since watching the very first early preview episode in early 2009. It has quickly become one of my favorite TV shows. Other favorite shows I am not involved in the fandoms of include Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies and Lie to Me.

Manga: I have only gotten into manga in the last two months. Naruto is by far my favorite, though this is partially because of the large fan base it already has and the fact that it is one of the few mangas that I have read all of, currently. My next favorite is Death Note, though I haven't finished reading it yet. I also like Tegami Bachi, One Piece, Ouran High School Host Club, Nana, Vampire Knight, Blank Slate, Black Bird and Wilds Ones. EDIT Dec.14th 2009: BLEACH, BLEACH, Bleach is amazing.

I can't stand: Character Bashing. I am sqicked by: MPreg. That said, I have read and loved fics with both.

Shipping:

I'm not generally a fan of love triangles or similar awkward situations. This isn't always true (um, Twilight?), but most often it is. Below it says that I like Harry/Draco and Harry/Ginny, for example, but I like them in seperate stories. The ships that are underlined are the ones that I prefer. Note that the order I write them in have nothing to do with Ds/seme-uke relations. I generally prefer things to be equal.

My favorite fanfics are Commentarious, by BCdaily, and A Black Comedy, by nonjon. Both are HP fics. The first is Lily/James, and the second isn't actually romance (HP/various, SB/various). Both are utterly perfect, however, and can be found in my favorites.

WIP FanFiction

Harry Potter

WIP: Untitled, Harry/Draco, Christmas one-shot. Will be out sometime in December.

WIP: Untitled, Harry/Draco, AU, Harry and Malfoy have never gotten along, but a different experience on the Hogwarts Express in first year leads their enmity in a different direction. By 5th year they are bitter Quidditch rivals, but not much else - that is, until Harry gets the idea that Malfoy knows more than he should about the Order. Cue stalking.

WIP: Untiltled, AU, rated T or M, Harry's parents were never killed that night, and it was never Lily's love that vanquished Voldemort: it was Harry. Now, Harry is 24, famous, engaged to Ginny, best-friends with Ron and Hermione, running a bar in Diagon Alley with Draco, and political busy-body for the Ministry. His brother is about to graduate, his mother seems to have a sixth sence about trouble, and the three remaining Marauders are active as ever. Then one night Harry doesn't come home. Three days pass as the news spreads, when he suddenly appears at Hogwarts with only a few broken bones, some ruined robes, and bad news: Voldemort has returned. What if Harry had had a different childhood, and Voldemort returned to a different Wizarding world?

CSI: NY

WIP: Untitled, Inspired by 1x13, "Tanglewood". Danny Messer has his first pickpocketing lesson with his brother's friend Sonny Sassone at age 13. This is something he is good at. One-Shot.

Bones

WIP: Untitled, AU, Inspired by 4x04, "The Finger in the Nest". Brennen had a dog once. She doesn't talk about her years in the foster care system, including the year she spent living in an oblivious middle-class family's attic. When they move, their dog Charlie is left behind. Bones makes a new friend, but she's not safe on the streets for long. One-Shot

Naruto

WIP: Untitled, AU. NaruSasuNaru. The once loudly overbearing shinobi Uzumaki Naruto is left mute after a mission goes wrong. He must deal with the reactions of the village, his new closeness with Kyuubi and his friend's silent pity. Sasuke becomes a lifeline in his new reality. (Don't know if this will be a one-shot, or if it will be longer. I'm currently at 2000 words and I've barely started.)

Also:

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans
