Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter. (Update March 2011, after... ah, well, the break was much too long.) So what's new: I have a great new beta, Charlene, who will hopefully soon start posting her own wonderful fics. Ssooooo... we're back in business. :-) Me: A newspaper writer in real life, male, and in my late 30s. My fics: Nothing like the Sun is MyBookSeven, i.e. it includes the Horcrux Hunt and the Final Battle against Voldemort. The story was planned out long before Deathly Hallows was published, so it's strictly canon to the Potter Books I-VI but very AU to DH and any additional potterverse information released afterwards. Nothing like the Sun focuses on the adult members of the Order of the Phoenix, mainly McGonagall and Snape. And yes, it is a MMSS love story. Minerva McGonagall and the Half-Blood Prince is basically the same plot, only much shortened. See A/N and Prologue of Nothing like the Sun for additional info. A Death Eater's Diary is a one-shot based on the idea of a Snape-Bellatrix pairing. Dark, unhappy story. The Murder of Emmeline Vance is a drama/tragedy one-shot. It was triggered by the disturbing fact that in HBP, Snape claims to be responsible for Emmeline's death. Madness of Minerva and Owl Post and Phoenix Messages are the first two stories of the Wisdom and War Trilogy, another version of MyBookSeven. Again, the main characters are McGonagall and Snape, but this time it is based on a MMAD pairing. The third story of the Trilogy, Catharsis, will be published by my loyal beta Ellen Fawkes - simply because I found that I am unable to write Ginny well. Considering that Ginny is the third protagonist in Catharsis, she deserves to be well-written. Catfight is a humor fic set some time after DH and features a meeting of three feline Patronuses - Minerva's tabby, Umbridge's fat persian, and Shacklebolt's lynx. Canon to DH but a little fuzzy on all the details that JKR released in later interviews. Goldilocks and the Four Heads of Houses is a humor fic set on Valentine's Day 1992. Lockhart, Snape, and tons of pink confetti. And Minerva. Need I say more? Oh, and believe it or not, but this is totally canon to CoS and could actually be a missing moment fic. Folie à Deux is the sequel to Goldilocks and the Four Heads of Houses. By popular demand, Severus and Minerva get to... have a little fun. Maybe a little too much fun. Why did the Chicken cross the Road? is a collection of the Hogwarts answers to the popular chicken joke. Just some random silly ideas. | |||||
