ABOUT ME:

I'm a melodramatic person, I might tend to overreact most times. I just like being perfect, or better. I expect a lot (or too much?) from myself. I'm totally self-centered if that's what you're thinking. Maybe because I never had many friends, like Zick.

Hmm, so you know I like MA...and that's basically it. Really. I try to focus on college life but I keep coming back online to check for MA stuff everyday. (Bad, I know. But hey, MA is helping me cope with stress. So it's a good thing too.) ;)

MY STORIES:

The only show I write for is Monster Allergy. I don't intend to change that anytime soon. ;) I can't really get how to write drabbles that much so everything you'll find here is at least five hundred words. Or a thousand. Ahh! I like elaborating on details, on feelings. (Especially Zick's and Elena's.) I've got thirty...so far, but I've got great plans for the Monster Allergy archive.

I always finish my stories. It just takes a while sometimes. I might leave it for months but I guarantee I finish everything. So just wait! I don't like people telling me to "come on! Update it already!" Ask nicely.

REVIEWS:

Let me tell you one thing about my reviews. I AM A MEAN CRITIC, but only because I'm a good critic. I use the Formalistic method of analyzing any work, so I'm really meticulous with details. Punctuation. Tense. Grammar. Gah, I HATE grammar errors! And I will tell you about it. So seriously, my comments are either "GREAT!" or "SUCKS!", or some other less inhumane version--and for sure a much longer version.

Now if you do choose to review my works (or anyone else's, for that matter), I implore you to say more than "Nice!" or "Aww!" Do write about what you think about the flow, the necessity of the scenes, whether or not the characters were believable or OOC or just plain odd for all I care. I need comprehensive feedback. Everyone does. It helps improve style if it reaches them the right way.

Now, here are some stuff dedicated to a few of my stories (sorted by publish date): notes, trivia, updates, and everything else I can't put in as a chapter note.

HOPELESS

I left the story untouched since October, but like I said I always finish my works, even if it takes long. Currently, the draft is all done for the rest of Elena's miserable week, so hang tight there and wait for the Moment Number X chapters. ;)

Now if you're going to read only one chapter of this painstakingly long fic, let me pick it for you. It's the 12th, "First Words". And I'm sure you won't stop there (just find out why), so do the 13th, "Moment Number Six"!

Actually, this is seriously what I'd do for Zick. Can I say I rank among his biggest fans?! YEEEEEEEES! These fanfics are somehow everything I wish I can do with him, for him. blushes I love Zick! I love Zick too much...

POLLUTION - A little fic Natural Science inspired for me. I've been long wondering about pollution and all, and if things could actually be done. In MA context, that would mean very grave stuff: no monsters and a more terrible allergy for Zick! It's lacking a conclusion but I only uploaded 4 chapters for now.

THE DOOM OF BIBBUR-SI - a fanfic my sister made, at least as far as the backbone of the story goes. But I was the Addict tasked to write everything else. She did inspire some really cute scenes for my favorite pairing, Zick and Elena's fight, the line "You don't understand. . . ." (which is my personal favorite). What's hard about it is the implementation. Handling three groups of difficult enemies at the same time, it was hard to make then move together as a "coordinated" team, if you could call it that. The only plausible way to defeat them was to make use of all the Tamer characters (but no, not Bobby). I learned their names and faces from the TV series (and only eventually in the comics as I read the scans). Another hard thing is getting their personalities. Waah!

IT'S NO CRIME - A CSI crossover. I love the CSI shows. Why? The characters gives a very scientific analysis of every clue. So I though I'd try to test my own wit for a little murder. One good (or maybe not?) thing I picked up from writing it is a real lot of detergent information: ingredients, chemicals used, processes, how it works, and some history, among others. The chemical names, though, made my head spin. Polycarboxilates! Sodium Lauryl Sulfate! Sodium Laureth Sulfate! Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate! Ammonium Laureth Sulfate! Linear alcohol ethoxylates! I thought I never had anything to do with Chemistry again after third year high school! cries

SELFISH - Umm, I don't know. It just came to me.

THE OTHER SIDE - It's a lot of fun to write rhetoric (emotively charged stuff). Now it's a lot more fun to write a lovesick Zick without his Elena! This is the prequel to the Ten Years story, and or rather, it's the other side, since we saw a lot of Elena's sentiments and how she passed the decade without Zick. Now Zick passed the decade without her...

HOW TO RIDE A VARAVAN - It might have a better ending, but I'm happy with it so far. It's another short story, whee!

SLEEPY AGAIN - A sort of sequel to my story Sleepy. I used a bit of history here for the dream, a bit of the time the Spanish colonized the Philippines: Zick meets one of our heroes Andres Bonifacio. There's the language barrier, Andres speaks Filipino of course, but that's the trauma from the homework Zick tried to finish. ;)

FIRE - Almost lost this work, I wasn't able to save it when my sister accidentally logged me off! (More info here.)

PLAYGROUND - A look-back on Zick's life, my take on how things started out.

A HUNDRED NIGHTMARES - Just adding some drama to Zick's life. A little tragedy never hurt anyone, right?

BAD INFLUENCE - My take on how the Terence-Zob fight began.

TEACHER ZICK - AU for Zick/Elena. They're in college, taking the same class, and Elena's head over heels for Zick!

THE MOST FAMOUS POD - Timothy and Jeremy fighting over which is the best Pod in Bibbur-si? Haven't they heard of the coolest Pod in the tech world?

STAR STRUCK - Just a silly moment for Zick/Elena.

HUMANS ARE MYSTERIOUS -I tried to write it from a new point of view, from the enemy in Ten Years, from an observer in this story: A Tutor. I like that it's a different take, from the eyes of someone we seldom view from. I did this in two days. I was just passing time. Instead of studying for an exam I wrote a story! At least it didn't give me the bluescreen (see my blog entry dated October 3).

MA Meets WITCH

This is a short tribute to the two comic magazines that have changed my life in the past six years. Its main antagonist is Mask of Fire but there's a lot of focus on Irma as she is gravely affected by the negative energy that's spreading through Old Mill. I situated it in that timeframe but it's not really in the context of that issue.

I got a bit of info from the series but the events are based on issues (for both magazines, for WITCH: 22 and a tiny bit about the Astral Drops, for MA: the 9th for most part, and a bit on the 14th). :)

It used to be in script format so I took it down, edited the whole thing in two 3-hour shifts in the middle of the night, and put it back.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE

Two mistakes lead them to the point of no return: Elena's slip, and Zick's need for money.

Goosebumps! This just came out of my head for no reason; I don't intend to mean anything against Zick or any other character...

But I intend to make a continuation of some sort, I'm just gathering ideas for now.

RAIN Series

This was supposed to be a three-part story but my creative juices switched into overdrive and I made a few more instalments. If "Fair Weather" didn't fare well (hmm, strange pun), I hope these segments will conclude it better. I have decided to make it a series now. Recently there's the fourth until the sixth chapters, with a few more soon to follow.

I only like the first one, really. I was just typing away freely. I didn't control the flow of thought. And after the fourth it got REALLY out of hand, as you can see.

I happened to suddenly think of this plot while I was stuck in traffic for 30 minutes on the way to class last August 15. I left home early and got to class so late!

Anyway...Elena was just passing through Old Mill, she doesn't know Zick yet, but they...have already been connected by destiny a long time ago. This is how I would like them to meet alternatively. And they switch roles too.

SLEEPY - My first short story. I've always been trying to make them like novels, but here, I just thought I'd make something shorter. It's just 300 words so I'm happy with it.

TEN YEARS

I'm making illustrations for the story! So far I only have two...four more to go. Sigh, it's a lot of hard work! Here's a link to the two in my DA: Two, Three. Watch out for the theme song I'm writing for it (in some sort of last-attempt for to get people to read it).

The full title of this story is actually “Ten Years is Not Enough to Change Love”, but it’s too long so I cut it.

I drafted this story in my mind for some time before I actually started typing it down. The inspiration? There was this image of Zick that popped into my head...he was cold and alone in a big, empty room, and only Elena was able to find him (chemistry? Bonding? Friendship? Destiny? No, it‘s them, get it? It’s them!). I was really disturbed and I wanted them to have a lot of romantic moments.

Also, it might help you to know I did this because I was disappointed they stopped publishing MA at number 14 (here in the Philippines—really disappointing). I made a VERY short continuation of my own, simply entitled “15”. This one serves as “16” in some way, until I thought I’d make it its own story. I've posted "15" in my website (here's a link), if you're looking for my context.

Nothing about the cartoon series here. I based all the events on the magazine (1 - 14 only).
