Author has written 20 stories for Harry Potter, Smurfs, Ninja Turtles, Meet the Robinsons, Transformers/Beast Wars, Coraline, Order of the Stick, Artemis Fowl, and Silent Hill. Okay, as of Thusday, August 27th, I'm going to be going to boarding school. I will be on hiatus for an indefinite amount of time while I get settled, and my deepest apologies go to those waiting for updates for my many unfinished stories. For my Transformers stories waiting for updates: there are beta issues that need to be sorted out. For my Coraline story: I've had a lot of writer's block and I am really sorry for the lack of updates. Hopefully, these issues will be sorted out soon. I've revamped my profile a little so it's more coherent. I'm only going to talk about stories that I haven't finished but plan to finish at some point. Dreams and Reality: Sadly, I've been having troubles finding a new beta, so for now, it's on an indefinite hiatus. I'm really sorry to everyone! Broken Ties: There are similar problems there. I'm having troubles with the beta stage so the next chapter is slow in coming, but you'll all be happy to know that I am completely finished with the entire story's first draft so, once I have a beta, I should be able to finish it all up. La Belle Dame Sans Merci: I'm probably going to have long gaps between updates on this one, but I'm making them. Don't worry. Tangled Web we Weave: I'm working on a sequel to this one. Look out. ;) Whispers of the Restless: I'm also working on a couple sequels/companions to this little guy. In Vino Veritas / Latin Series: I'm having beta troubles with this little guy too, but I still have tons of different stories waiting for beta, so don't worry about the series ending soon. In the Arms of Morpheus: I'm willing to go on without a beta, but one will be appreciated. So far, I don't see any issues turning up. Sparkling Series: I'm not sure if I'm continuing this, but I have a few ideas just in case. It's a quiz to see what transformer you are. I got Red Alert! (That's weird, I'm not incredibly paranoid. I think, anyway. I do warn people about things that they do that are dangerous, though! -Thinks for a moment- Actually, scratch that. I AM incredibly paranoid.) Okay, I'm going to give a brief summary of myself, but don't expect any overly-personal information! ;-P Name: Can't tell you, just call me Water-smurf, WS, or Smurf. Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown/hazel/green. It changes! Gender: Female. I'm a girl! Location: Usually right in front of the computer. Other: My muses come to me in spontaneious waves. If I take a while updating, it's either because my muses are taking a break, I have writer's block, or real life decided to be a pain again. Quotes (sexual themes heading your way, guys!)(I use numbers in parentheses to show that the quote it listed belonged actually in conversation with the quote under the same number.) (1) (Once at a camp I was going to there was an animal farm, and two male rabbits were humping each other to show male dominance, and this caused a conversation on how boys of all species show male dominance.) Camper: At least boys don't show it by humping each other! (1) Councilor: It's called wrestling. (2) Little post-it note: Sometimes we build walls, not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down. (3) Brawn (in Microbots): Do you have any better ideas or is your intelligence as fleeting as your courage? (3) Perceptor: Actually, yes I do. We can use my size reduction beam to shrink ourselves to microscopic size and then crawl into Megatron, and then rip the blasted heart out! (3) Optimus: What do you think of his intelligence now? (3) Brawn: I reserve judgment. (4) Rainer Maria Rilke: "...Perhaps all the dragons of our lives are princes who are only waiting to see us once beautiful and brave..." (5) Friend: If it's been proven Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction, weapons we do have, and they had nothing to do with 9/11... Why are we still there? (5) Me: We have an idiot for a president? (5) Friend: I was hoping for something a little less simple and hopeless-sounding... (6) Kiaira-Chan from DeviantArt's grandmother: Closets are meant for brooms, not men and women. (7) Unknown- Enemies stab you in the front, Friends stab you in the back, True friends don't carry knives. (8) Tedel from deviantart's mother- If you like two guys, then you don't really like any of them. (9) Unknown- Opinions are like assholes, everyone has them, but no one wants to hear them. (10) Holbrook Jackson- Fear of corrupting the mind of the younger generation is the loftiest form of cowardice. (11) Groucho Marx- Only one man in a thousand is a leader of men -- the other 999 follow women. (12) Jean Paul- The more sand that has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it. (13) Mark Twain- Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it. (14) Henry David Thoreau- If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away. (15)DistilledVinegar from DeviantArt- Everytime you see a rainbow God is having gay sex! (16)Unknown- Last night I looked up at the stars and wondered... where the hell is my ceiling? Now, for pairings! Pairings I like- Harry/Hermione- I'm a proud delusional shipper! I will except it will not happen officially but why not in fanfictions? Artemis/Holly- Their personalities balance each other out though Artemis probably would end up getting hit a lot. Remus/Tonks- They are perfect for each other! Holmes/Russell- They work well with each other but it is really hard to successfully put them in a fluffy scene, so I don't find myself reading it all to often. Lloyd/Sheena- It was obvious Sheena likes him, and maybe he likes her, but I think he will probably end up with Colette. Lloyd/Colette- You have to be as dumb as a strand of bacteria to not see it. Or you played the game specifically so she never liked him. Either or. Link/Midna- It is obvious Minda liked him, though since he never spoke it was hard to see if he shared the feelings. I'm a huge shipper on this. Percy/Annabeth- So their parents are bitter rivals, big deal! It is painfully obvious they'll get together, unless Percy develops something with Thalia or Calypso or Rachel Elizabeth Dare, which I doubt. (Well, Calypso's already there in his affections. But she's gone. She's not going to spring up randomly in New York.) Knuckles/Rouge- I'm on shaky ground with this one, I think that they have hinted at it more than enough times, but I think Knuckles would rather die than end up with her or even admit he may have feelings. I'm not even sure he has feelings for her. Autobot/human- We are writing fiction, people. In fiction, anything is possible, such as a romance between a giant alien robot and a human. I just find it incredibly cute (in a slightly disturbing way.) Mutant turtle/human- Like I said... Emily/Victor- See the above two. Ratchet/Perceptor/Wheeljack- I like them as a friendship pairing or a romantic pairing. I find them cute either way, and I make it a bit of a mission to request to lots of authors to write a fic with that pairing. (Mostly because the pairing's very rare to find, even if you plug it into Google.) I'm working on one myself but I'm not good at that sort of stuff. I'm trying, though. Vaarsuvius/Belkar- What can I say? I see chemistry between them. And I'm a sucker for 'Slap Slap Kiss' relationships. Zz'dtri/Vaarsuvius- Don't ask. I read some fanfiction that made it look cute and, well... Zz'dtri/Belkar: Why not? Redcloak/Vaarsuvius: See above. ;) Pairings I don't like (but I still read them)- Hermione/Draco- Come ON people! That is even more delusional than Harry/Hermione! At least Harry and Hermione are friends! (I am fine with you people making fics but PLEASE!) Hermione/Snape- No comment. 0_o Hermione/Ron- Just because it is going to happen doesn't mean I have to like it! -pouts- Holly/Root- -shudder- He is like a father to her and she is like a daughter to her. Nothing more. Artemis/Butler- Butler is several times Artemis's age. It is just wrong. Artemis/Opal- Again I will say, how delusional can you get?! (See first pairing I didn't like.) ((I have nothing against fics about them, I just don't support them.)) Foaly/Opal- Look at the caption above and add some exclamation marks. Artemis/Minerva- They are getting dangerously close to ruining my AH ship! Holmes/Watson- They are friends. Nothing more. Holmes/Mrs. Hudson- Like I said in the above ship... Lloyd/Kratos- Kratos is Lloyd's dad! Kratos/Raine- I understand your point of views but Kratos loved Anna and he will NEVER get over her. Lloyd/Zelos- They are good friends but come ON!... Raine/Lloyd- Raine was Lloyd's teacher! Zelos/Sheena- Admittedly there is hope Zelos really does like her but I don't think he would ever give up his flirtatious ways nor do I think Sheena actually likes him like that... Colette/Zelos- I honestly believe that Zelos only complemented her for her beauty. NO chemistry there people! Link/Zelda- I don't think Zelda got close enough to Link. (I'll point out I only played Twilight Princess!) Link/Ilia- Admittedly there was chemistry there, but I think Link could never really settle for a girl like her after his adventure. She is too simple and not adventurous enough, while he has experienced quite a lot. Sonic/Amy- Amy may be totally obsessed with him but she's a bit stalkerish. Sonic just doesn't like her that way. Sonic/Chris- EEEWWWW! They are just friends! Sonic/Tails- Like I said in the above... Sonic/Shadow- Couldn't happen. It just couldn't. It would not work out. Shodow/Anyone- I just don't think he would be able to get over Maria. Admittedly it is hard to say whether his feelings for her wree romantic or friendship or something like family but I don't think he would be able to let someone close to him like that again. Cream/Tails- They are WAY too young. Tails is, what, eight years old? Do you actually think hormones start working when you're eight years old? Prowl/Jazz- I'm sorry, I just don't see it. Tranformer/Transformer- I don't know why, but I don't like hearing about robot relationships. (Usually, anyway. There are some exceptions.) Turtlecest- OH GOD NO! Haley/Elan- I know that it's canon, but I don't know. I don't like it so much. Tsukiko/Xykon- I can easily see it one-sided, but both? No. Xykon's not a biophiliac. ;) I don't like those but I have nothing against people who do like them. I just disagree that is all. Please no one take offense. By the way, I've noticed how people have taken up to broadcasting their views on people like 'Ghost of Beethoven' and 'Flame Rising' so I thought I'd put up my opinion on the matter. Here it is: I think that, yeah, those flames are harsh sometimes. I think that Flame Rising especially should try to personalize the flames a little more, even if it was just a small note in the end saying why he was flaming the author, but I also think that they have valid points. I think that all authors have the right to write and post whatever they want, but if they don't make an attempt at proper grammar and spelling they have to understand that they're going to recieve less than flattering reviews. (Look at the difference between my first story, From Fairies to Wizards, and my latest one, Dreams and Reality. FFtW doesn't have good grammar at all, and I wrote it about a year ago, while I like to think that DaR is better in that regard, as well as the fact I like to think that I have improved in writing generally. I owe my improvement to honest reviewers and a good grammar teacher.) I think that if an author gets a flame or even constructive critisizm, they should stop whining on their author's notes and actually think about what the reviewer is telling them. I have yet to be on the recieving end of a major flame, and I hope that it is because I write half-decently. I think that people should look at someone trying to be helpful and understand their intentions, and I think that people should look at a flamer and, while I'm sure the aforementioned flamer could have a kinder way of saying things, the author should actually look into the flamer's claims. You can usually find a golden nugget of truth in a flame. With that in mind, my major complaint is for people to STOP ENCOURAGING STORIES THAT ARE HONESTLY NO GOOD! Seriously people, I don't mind so much when I stumble across a really badly written fiction, but what steams me is that I look into the reviews section and I see many people saying that the story is awesome and praising the author. I look at that and say, 'You're not helping them at all.' That is one of the most frustrating things in the world: don't review things just to get fame and reviews for yourself, review things you honestly think are good and if you're going to review, leave a properly thought-out one. I usually go out of my way to say something more than just, 'this is great please continue.' (That's not even grammatically correct!) Just, please be honest. While I'm talking FF.net politics, why don't I get into the age thing? I've noticed how when people look at a story that is really really terrible, they say something like 'omg, a third grader could've done better. Are you some twelve/eleven year old?' and I've got to say, this sort of thing offends me. I've been writing for a while now, and I began when I was about ten or eleven years old. Please don't compare young-me to them. I remember what it was like back then, just beginning to write. Yeah, I didn't get homonyms right, and as I've said earlier, at the beginning of my time on this site I still didn't get them right. The point is, when I was about twelve years old, I actually was writing stuff of relatively good quality. I look at it now and I'm proud that I wrote it so young. Please don't compare crap to an age-group where I wrote stuff I'm still proud of. Please. Not all kids that age are crap writers. At the same time, not all men and women are good writers. It's a matter of talent, skill, recognition of your weaknesses, and a willingness to better yourself. Oh, and one last thing: I didn't make my avatar, in case that wasn't clear. | |||||||
