Author has written 13 stories for House, M.D..

Random facts:

My name is Reka.

I'm of Dutch heritage and ancestry, like House's grandmother. A former newspaper features writer, I prefer anonymity. My husband bears a passing resemblance to Hugh Laurie in his Bertie Wooster days. I so despise commercials that I don't watch television live, only on dvd -- except, of course, for "House." Childless, we dote on our two-year-old Newfoundland, Moses.

I work for a nonprofit organization. My time at work is spent with people who have developmental disorders and/or mental illness. It's stressful. Reading and writing "House" FanFics is, I hope, a healthy outlet for this stress.

About writing: I grew up as the daughter of two English professors. My father read a lot of poetry to us. It was a literary family. I started writing at the age of eight and have done so ever since, in one way or another. My obsession with "House" led me to discover Fan Fiction. The stories I prefer reading and writing are House and Cameron-centric, although I love reading and writing the character of Wilson.

There are several crackerjack writers in this community. One of the things I like best about it is the opportunity to encourage and be encouraged by other writers who love "House."

In addition to writing here at Fan Fiction, I also have an account at LiveJournal under my pen name. Please feel free to visit it and befriend me there if you enjoy reading my stuff, or if I've reviewed your stuff.
