Author has written 27 stories for Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Bible, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Doctor Who, and Twilight. Feeling somewhat dismayed because the OC in your fanfic has been observed as a Mary Sue? Or are you wondering what the heck a Mary Sue IS? Have people complained about your story being unoriginal or badly written? Would you like some help? Want to hang out with other people who are working through the same problems? Then please visit Mary Sues Anonymous...where your Sue can get started on the road to recovery! In celebration of me FINALLY conquering my writer's block, and as a thank-you to everyone who's been so supportive of my Susan/Geek pairing, Phyllis has an OFFICIAL TRAILER now! (The last one was just a glorified slide show.) Check it out! All right guys. My turn to add to the endless list of "I'm (fill-in-the-blank), so I MUST be (fill-in-the-blank)" and other copy-and-paste type things... I'm homeschooled, so I MUST be a poor, sheltered child who can't "socialize". If you hate it when people's profiles are nothing but endless lists of stupid copy-and-pastes, DON'T paste this into your profile. (snerk) If you check your closet every week (at least) to see if there are any magic countries inside, copy-and-paste this into your profile. If you booed loudly at the Susan/Caspian kiss in the theater and didn't feel a bit sorry for doing it, copy-and-paste this into your profile. If you you think a TV show about the Pevensies during the golden age (or even during their non-Narnia time in England) would be the best TV show ever and you'd totally watch it every time it was on, Copy/Paste this onto your profile. If you have ever seen a film, TV show, or anything of the like, can quote it word for word and do it at random moments, copy this into your profile. If you know that Bella Swan is The Queen Of All Mary Sues (and some people are too stubborn/deluded to admit it), copy-and-paste this into your profile. If to you, Edward is that awesome little character (wink) from Fullmetal Alchemist and NOT that moody, sparkly guy from Twilight, copy-and-paste this into your profile. If you used to HATE anime before you discovered Fullmetal Alchemist, copy-and-paste this into your profile. I have a one-time gift. A beautiful gift that many people are ridiculed for in today's culture. A precious gift that many people throw away. It's called "virginity", and I plan to not waste it on some jerk of a boyfriend who's just gonna dump me later. I choose to be faithful to my future husband, the man who will love me for the rest of my life, and to wait for the wedding day!! If you have chosen to save your one-time gift and are PROUD of your purity, paste this into your profile and add your name to the list: Dearheart, "If you believe in God, copy-and-paste blah blah blah..." So what? What does believing in God mean? Lots of people, Christian and non-Christian believe He exists. Even demons "believe in God." What makes you so different? I, for one, don't merely believe in Him...I TRUST in Him. I don't just "believe in God"...I believe in JESUS! I believe He is the ONLY Way, the ONLY Truth and the ONLY Life and without Him there is no salvation! If you believe in Jesus and have His Joy in your heart, don't just copy-and-paste this into your profile...SHOW IT! Thus Sayeth the Keeper of the Sacred Pairing: Enough of Suspian and other boring/perverted pairings. I say it's time for a revolution! If you think nerds are better than princes and that the movieverse Susan ought to end up with the geek, copy and paste this into your profile and spread the word! Susan and the Geek forever! (This pairing is mine, but if you'd like to borrow it, feel free to drop me a PM. Most likely I'll say yes, but I like being notified so I can keep an eye out for the story and read it!) NEWS FLASH: WARREN FANS UNITE! For those of you who have read "Phyllis" and are fans of my Warren (geek) character, I've put together a fanclub! I've also made a prince vs. geek poll on quizilla and a TRAILER! Hope you all enjoy it! For those of you read my songfic about Caspian's nurse, A Dance 'Round the Memory Tree, and don't have the song handy...you can listen to it here. Random Facts About Me: 1) As of February 28th, I am officially a legal adult. And I still feel like a scrawny 14-year-old. 2) I am a Jesus Freak and a pastor's daughter as well as a dork, and darn proud of all three titles. I refuse to be branded by our stupid, second-hand-sex culture, and I try not to let people's labels stick on me...with the exception of the three I just mentioned. And I'm homeschooled. And NO, that does NOT mean I live in a plastic bubble where I can't "socialize". Homeschooling, for your information, ROCKS. 3) I LOVE Narnia and Lord of the Rings, and I love reading and writing and dreaming. I can be very lazy and day-dreamy sometimes and I'd much rather be curled up with a good book or doing something creative than doing my chores or schoolwork. I like to enjoy good music and children's literature (especially fantasy/sci-fi), eat chocolate, play piano, write and compose songs, work with younger children and do anything creative you can think of. My other interests include Fullmetal Alchemist (one of those rare anime/mangas that give the genre a good name), Doctor Who, watching good movies, swimming, debating, blogging, riding on the craziest roller-coasters, laughing/puking over bad Sue fics and reading GOOD fan fiction. 4) I have the Pixar's "Finding Nemo" movie memorized. Name any scene and I can quote it word perfect. (Yeah, it's scary...) 5) I used to hate anime with a passion. And then one day Fullmetal Alchemist converted me. 6) My mom used to hate anime with a passion. And then one day I introduced her to Fullmetal Alchemist. She still hates anime, but she says she'll make an exception with FMA. (Hehehe, score one for the manipulative daughter...) :-) 6) DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE NAME "DEARHEART". Yes I am talking to YOU, fangirls/writers of slash, incest and Mary Sues. Though I usually have a long fuse and am very loyal to my Narniac/Ringer friends, BEWARE. As a reader, writer and reviewer, I can EASILY transform into a fierce Lioness and be A VERY HARSH REVIEWER. HEAR ME ROAR. I HAVE 0 TOLERANCE FOR SSS IN NARNIA. (SSS = Stupid Smutty Stuff) I try hard to give both encouragement and constructive criticism in my reviews to help you grow and improve. Generally, I just like to be blunt, honest, and give praise where praise is due when I comment. Don't like that? Seething over an "OMG liek rude!!" review/comment I wrote you? TOUGH. You should've been more prepared for negative feedback when you posted your story in the first place. BTW, feel free to yell at me anytime you want. Everyone needs to vent sometimes, and people's rants are most amusing to read. Just be forewarned - I might write back to you. ;-) Things I very much dislike: - Trendy, "hip", immodest clothes that make boys drool all over you (yeeugh) - Empty-headed fangirls who only like Narnia and LotR because of William Moseley (or Ben Barnes, eesh) and Orlando Bloom - Twilight zombies who worship the series like their Bible and drool over that dumb, sparkly Gary Stu of a vampire - When people lump LotR and Harry Potter in the same category - Angry, ranting liberals who blame EVERYTHING on Bush (despite the fact that while he was in office, there were NO terrorist attacks since 9/11) - People who automatically stick the label "homophobic" on you whenever you disagree with homosexuality - Vegetables - Mushy-gushy, chick-flick romantic stuff (especially kissing. Hello? It's like exchanging SLOBBER!) Fears: Losing a friend, disappointing my parents, and...wasps. (shudder) I can handle heights and tight places, spiders, ants, snakes, lizards, frogs, toads, slugs, snails, rats and mice, but I HATE wasps. Hopes/dreams/goals: Be a mom, be a writer, go to New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland, etc (that's the closest to Narnia and Middle Earth you can get), visit Israel, get all my favorite books made into movies, team up with a good singer and be their song-writer, maybe make a few CD's, be a music teacher, an artist, get into voice-acting, write screenplays and compose movie scores. As far as FanFiction goes...I strongly dislike: bad, toxic waste-like fanfiction that could make people have seizures and die of BFIS (Bad Fanfic Intolerance Syndrome), Narnia fics that are identical to the movie except for boring Self Inserts, Mary Sues, Gary Stues and Marty Sams (I wish every one of those evil pests would die a miserable, gruesome death), Suicidal Pevensie fics, Lucy/Tumnus (eww, hello? Little girl, grown-up faun...? And they're good FRIENDS, not lovers! That's just...ew), Susan/Corin (reality check, people! Susan: grown woman. Corin: little boy. Eight years difference, guys! Sorry, it just doesn't work), Lucy/Cor (for the same reasons), Susan/Orieus (he's way too old for her!!), Susan/Caspian (Caspian was meant to be with RAMANDU'S DAUGHTER. WAKE UP AND GET OVER IT.) and Lucy/Caspian pairings (for the same reason.) (stands on soapbox) I HATE slash and incest in Narnia. Sorry to rant about stuff, but as far as I'm concerned, they are the worst crimes you could ever commit against C. S. Lewis's beloved classics. HOW DARE YOU. Just because it's Narnia doesn't mean that things are "different", that so-called True Love is whatever you want it to be or that morality can go out the window. Slash is about as OOC as you can get when it comes to Narnia...and incest is just plain disturbing. Yes, I know that Peter is dashingly handsome and Susan is stunningly beautiful and every frickin' fangirl thinks that William Moseley and Anna Popplewell are "OMG! Sooo cute 2gether!", but that's a lame and stupid excuse to pair them up. PERIOD. Really guys! If you don't agree with it in "real life", what makes you think that imaginary life is ANY DIFFERENT?? Would YOU want to make out with YOUR siblings just cause you "make a cute couple"?? IT'S JUST PLAIN SICK, PEOPLE!! (MINDLESS BLITZ) (steps off soapbox and tries to regain composure) However, whenever I come across a rare, good-quality, true-to-the-book jewel of a fanfic, I savor it like a sweet, rich chocolate truffle melting on my tongue, stash it away in my faves and try to remember to leave a review expressing my delight. And I highly recommend the stories and authors on my favorites list; the stories are all very, VERY good, and written by some of the best writers on FF. I only put the best in my faves! Original Work: I do have an account on FictionPress, so feel free to check that out! Sun of Gold, Moon of Silver Dancing On the Rooftop Book-friends all come out to play...
