Hello thar... I used to go by 'cornflakes', but since that has been taken I'm Mr. Cereal. I mostly go by other aliases now, but I've been 'Mr. Cereal' here for a long time so I think I'll continue using this name. So here I'm going to talk about my stories, I guess.

Work(s)-in-progress

'I, Spy' - A fic I've been working on for AGES (since April '08 at least). It first stemmed out of a desire to write about a genin team ala JFalcon's 'New Blood', and then it evolved into something else. The thing is I've never been disciplined enough to do long multi-chapter fics, as I always procrastinate and then lose interest over time and start other projects. Well hopefully this is different.

One-shot/complete

'Bonds' - A short oneshot about how Naruto gets his name... and his love for ramen. My very first fanfic, so it's one I'm disproportionately fond of, even if it's now disproven by canon.

'The Amontillado Prototype' - A Gundam SEED fic I wrote in-between 'I, Spy'. Set on the asteroid Jachin Due, featuring a young le Creuset. This is basically just Edgar Allen Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado" retooled to the Gundam universe, with Montresor as le Creuset.

'Red Umbrella' - a response to Darkkinkachu's challenge here. The three criteria were: must have something do do with a red umbrella, 500 words and above and the line "Isn't that illegal?" I wrote it around Nagato and Konan because of this scene that flashed into my mind when I read the challenge criteria. I must say I've enjoyed doing this challenge very much. :)

'Sarutobi Muses' - because Hiruzen is awesome. I hope I did him justice in this story. It's not too popular but if I had to pick my personal favourite story that I've written this would be the one.

'The Morning After' - the title and summary makes it sound like a fluffy slash piece. Well, it's not so fluffy but I guess you can say it's sort of a 'slash' piece. ;) Heh heh. This was the story I wanted to write when I started writing 'Sennin'. It's also the first multi-chapter story I've finished! So there's that.

'Divine Wind' - a short look at Naruto's terrifying power from the victim's perspective. The working title was 'Fear', and a lot of it is taken from a later, unpublished chapter of 'I, Spy'. Since only maybe half a dozen people read that overindulgent baby of mine, and who knows when I'll get to that point in the story, I thought I might post this excerpt as an independent story, as I really liked it. If I do say so myself. :D

Fallout fics

'The Reunion' [Fallout 3] - I wrote most of this after I finished my last FO3 playthrough, last year. Fallout 3 has many flaws, but 'Trouble on the Homefront' was an emotional sucker punch in a way that wasn't found in New Vegas.

'End of an Era' [Fallout: New Vegas] - An obituary-style account of what happens after the ending of the game (Independent route). I went with being very optimistic for this one, there's probably another fic in there about a well-intentioned but bumbling Courier who screws everything up. After all personal competence does not equal being adept at regional politics. Another one of my personal favourites.

'Talk About Owned' [Fallout: New Vegas] - a short one, from Benny's perspective. I almost never set Benny free, but I just had this idea of what might have happened, since Benny disappears from the game if you release him.

Misc. game-related fics

'Sins of the Father' [Pokemon] - formerly 'Inheritences'. Even though I've never finished it, I'm still quite proud of this fic. Eheh. Oh well. Having played the games, especially Emerald, I wanted to write a low-key, somewhat original OT fic-- while playing the games I was always imagining how it would be like in anime or fic form, so I took a shot at it. Really not as easy to pull off as it initially appears.

'Don't Call Me Shirley' [Call of Duty 4] - When I wrote this I actually had no idea the "don't call me Shirley" phrase one of the dudes utter just before the epilogue 'mission' to CoD4 was from the movie Airplane. I thought it was one of the most hilariously random things I've ever heard. So I thought about what may have led up to it, and this was my take on it. I was pretty close!

'Perhaps' [Rome: Total War] - My tribute to the starting cutscene for the Greek City States in Rome: Total War, which I always thought was awesome. Watching it always made me want to conquer the world and civilize the barbarians.

'Hastatus' [Rome: Total War/XGM] - originally "I, Publius". Basically a battle from the perspective of the losing side. It's set in a 'what-if' scenario, if a Kingdom of Massilia had come into prominence in the Western Mediterranean. Based on the Extended Greek Mod (XGM).

'Adventures of Malak the Clean' [Oblivion] - a fic about an unusually... conscientious Orc adventurer. Haven't worked on it much since I ditched Oblivion for Mount&Blade, but I decided to post what I have of it anyway.

'Journals of Vladimir Vlanovich' [Mount&Blade: Warband] - ...with faux-historical footnotes. An after-action report originally posted here.

'Abandoned' fics

'Sennin', 'Fall of the White Fang' - yeah, I'm not going to delete them but please, don't waste your time reading these. They're from when I was starting out, and are pretty terrible.

Planned fics

'The Winds of Winter' - I have the basic idea of the outline, but nothing concrete yet. Going to be set in the Land of Snow. Probably going to wait till I finish 'I, Spy' to really start working on this - which probably means 'never, ever' at this point. Haha.
