Note: I used to be Twylight_elf, but I had trouble logging in and ended up with a second account. Because I already had two account I decided to just combine them together into one account. I should've gone with my Twylight_elf account as I had reviews for my LotR fics back then... (sorry, it's a sore spot. I worked really hard on those stories, unlike my Naruto one-shots).

Three facts about me and my stories before you read:

1. A lot of work goes into writing my stories. I'm very serious about writing and researching for stories. I try to make that clear in my stories. Especially the multi-chapter ones. One-shots and drabbles are just for fun, so little to no research was done for them, but they have been edited and revamped repeatedly before posting. So please, please be kind enough to critic, comment, and tell me how I'm doing.

2. I have an unbelievable hard time with Gaara with pairings. He tends to wind up gay in my stories, if anything at all. Sorry, fanboys and anti-yaoi fans. I just have an unbelievable hard time making (or even seeing) Gaara straight. If it's any consolation, I usually keep him mostly asexual and the other guys straight. Usually. That being said, this does NOT mean he can't or won't be paired up with a girl. I imagine with his rank and power, the village would want him to pass on his genes, so he would probably get a wife eventually. Gay men can and do marry women. Usually with good female friends of a platonic nature. That's not to say there can't be pain involved sometimes in this and complicated emotions. This is the closest to a straight Gaara I can write well. I can make other characters gay or straight. Just not Gaara. At least not manga Gaara. Maybe I could pull it off with anime Gaara, but I primarily read the manga nowadays. UPDATE: I have done straight Gaara! A few days ago, I wrote an honest-to-God GaaSaku one-shot. I still think he's gay. I'm just learning how to do the reverse version of what yaoi fans do to straight boys.

3. I have a love for crack pairings. However, I'm also fond of popular pairings. Except for SasuNaru, NaruHina, and NaruSaku. And the last one I'm just kinda neutral towards. I will read these pairings. I'm just not too fond of them and a little tired of them. I also love friendship fics and crush stories. I also enjoy many stories pairing Gaara up with any of the girls. But I can't write straight Gaara very well... -cries- I also enjoy many Avatar pairings. Mostly crack, because only the Sokka (except Tokka) and canon Zuko pairings were worth my while in the show.

3 1/2. As far as Zutara and Kataang go, I dislike both. So please, for the love of God, if I ever write an Avatar fanfiction containing one or the other, don't send me messages about how Kataang is better than Zutara or how Zutara is awesome. I may like Maiko, but I don't like Kataang. I'm weird that way. Besides past difficulties with fans who simply can't get the idea that some Avatar fans just aren't that into Kataang vs. Zutara (that's why I quit going to the forums) has really made me like those two pairings even less. I don't write Avatar because it's one of those series you love, but you never get any good fanfic ideas from. And I've watched all three seasons well over twenty times!

4. I will never write another bash fic. I did once in the past, but now I think it would definitely be best to just ignore the things I dislike or make them better. For example, I can make Kataang actually romantic in a more realistic and mutual way, Zutara plausible, or ignore the past few Naruto arcs so I can make a likable Naruto. Right now I don't like him very much... Then again, I never was a big fan of Team 7 or Team Kakashi. Give me Team 10, Team Gai, Team 8, Team Minato, or Team Baki any day.

5. I am addicted to generators. I have made several for my own use. One for rating and time, a few for Suna, a few for the Naruto world (including one just for Gaara and one for characters under 21 and over 6 during Shippuuden), one for Avatar. Oh and one for diseases. Lol!

6. Cliches I have used in my stories and have tried to do differently:

- Girl falls into other world. The story was 'The Rift.' Possibly one of my best, but I never finished it. I haven't posted it again yet, either... Girl was not a fan of Lord of the Rings nor a teenager, and was miserable while being guided through Mordor by orcs. It was NOT a romance fic. Rather it was an adventure/sci-fi fanfiction involving deadly machines, deadly rules, and dimensional rifts. Strictly an action and adventure tale. She spent her time confused, worried about her unborn baby, grieving over her dead boyfriend, and feeling tired, hungry, dirty, and somewhat ill. I did other stories containing this plot or rather began. One was lost and the others were abandoned like the Rift. One was a mother from Indiana and the Great Depression who became a seamstress in the Naruto world to earn enough money to hire ninjas to help her find away back to her family, one was a boy with muscle dystrophy who develops an unrequited crush on Kaori (the medical ninja who stopped Lee doing push-ups during the Chuunin Exams), one was a bitter pregnant child prostitute, and one was a shy deaf girl who was trying to build up the courage to confess to a boy she liked before ending up in the Naruto world. Out of the four characters from the real world, three are female. But you know what? No romances with the Naruto cast. Nada. None whatsoever. The boy had a crush on Kaori, but she is way too old for her and views him as an unusual patient, but only a patient.

- MPREG. In a Naruto fanfic never published, Gaara was married to a nameless kunoichi who was pregnant when she was mortally wounded. In order to save the child, Gaara sealed the infant in himself to carry the child to full term. I even gave the sealing technique a name. This was perhaps the only het Mpreg story I have ever seen, read, or wrote. Sadly, the story had no plot other than that and cut off abruptly. There was another story, where Gaara got pregnant by another man, but it was due to a misfired technique that caused him to wind up with child. I don't know why, but I like pregnant Gaara. I guess it's his serene expression and small build. Ironically, usually its women and messed up techniques that make him pregnant. Not male lovers. Usually. I did write one normal Mpreg, but once again it was a misfired technique that actually caused it. Yikes, poor Gaara. Best he stay away from wacky sealing techniques, lol! Of course, none of those stories were completed or published. Oh well...

- Arranged marriage. Read 'Stuck Together.' It is the story of a girl in love with another boy and a boy who is gay who are forced into an arranged marriage together. Of course, I'm talking about Hinata and Gaara.

7. Favorites!

Naruto:

Five favorite characters: Gaara and Sunagakure. -Pause- What? At least I'm honest. I've always been rather fond of Sand ninjas and Shippuuden makes me like Konoha less and less. If Gaara hadn't returned to the manga, I would've stopped reading the manga all together and just written fanfics for the first series and first Shippuuden arc. Oh wait. I do that anyway. Though I still read the manga thanks to Gaara coming back.

Five least favorite characters: Ironically, most of Naruto falls under this in the canon. In the canon. Fanfiction is a totally different matter though. But I'll have to say Shippuuden!Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Sora (from the fillers), and Shiho are probably my absolute least favorites in the anime/manga.

Five favorite pairings: ShikaTema, ChouIno, ObiRin, any pairing with Gaara just about (especially GaaNaru because, unlike most yaoi pairings of Naruto, there really is a strong bond and good standing between them in the canon, making it plausible if they were both gay), etc... hough really the pairings all depend on my muses and moods. Seriously. I have ShikaIno, Kankuro x Moegi, a Sai-Ino-Kankuro triangle drabble, and unrequited OroGaa. Or is it GaaOro...? I really have no problems using crack pairings, rival ships, or pairings I'm not especially fond of.

Five least favorite pairings: NaruHina, NaruSaku, SasuNaru, SasuSaku, and ShikaShiho. I find the shipping wars between the former four pairings rather irritating. Surprisingly, one fanfic I'd recommend is SasuSaku. And many fanfics I adore contain elements of either NaruHina or NaruSaku (usually mild). Like I said, it really depends on the fanfic.

Avatar:

Five favorite characters: Toph, Zuko, Sokka, Mai, and Azula. Toph is awesome, Zuko didn't disappoint me in the finale, Sokka is so nutty and hilarious, Mai's so dry and gloomy, and Azula's all crazy!

Five least favorite characters: Aang and Katara. Aang disappointed me to no end and I just couldn't sympathize with him. He was written like he was bi-polar. And I always felt irritated that he didn't grieve when he found out he had been frozen in an iceburg 100 years and most of the people he knew were long dead instead of flirting with Katara. And I just don't like Katara. I don't hate her, per se. I'm just not fond of her. Can't think of anyone else. Everyone else is cool. Not awesome, but cool.

Five favorite pairings: Toko, Jinko, Maiko, Yuekka, and Soksuki.

Five -- I mean FOUR -- least favorite pairings: Taang, Tokka, Kataang, and Zutara. viewers slowly turn heads to stare... What? They suck. Taang and Tokka never drew me and Kataang and Zutara don't make sense one bit to me. And Kataang's canon!

Naruto and Gaara pairings are very unlikely given their situation, unless some form of NaruGaa or GaaNaru. Some of the other characters have decided they want to be with someone else. Only one pairing seems likely to stick right now, so it's up in the air.

CONFIRMED PAIRINGS in 'Salvation of the Beast': hinted past ShikaTema, hints of possible SasuKarin, past unrequited GaaMatsu, and past SasuSaku. Hints of other pairings, if you want to see them. Really, it's not a romance story, so any pairings that are in it will be subtle, vague, or already confirmed.

UNCONFIRMED PAIRINGS in 'Salvation of the Beast': Who knows? Unlike most people, I have no problems with crack pairings, but as most people dislike crack a lot, and stories where their least favorite or rival pairing are also involved, I'll try to keep romances out of the story except for maybe three ships. And one mild crack ship. And maybe an insignificant ship involving minor characters like some of the lesser known Sand ninjas.

Note: Unconfirmed means I have plans to put them in (or hint to them), but there is still 50-percent possibility of change. I'm not big on romance, but given that the story is set five years in the future where most of the kids would be 18-23, they would probably be looking to settle down into a family and home of their own.

In other news: Current manga chapters have given me a lot to work with for my story, so it'll be an even longer time before this story is updated. It is still AU, so Tobi's history of the Bijuu may or may not be used. Depends on how it works out in my mind. Actually, the entire plot of this story and the one that used to be called EPIC isn't well thought out to me... I might go back to square one and rethink the plot. Meanwhile, I might drop the majority of the 'New Konoha' plot and just turn to Suna's story line. The epidemic and Gaara's later adventures interest me more than Naruto traveling the world for god knows what. I mean, at least I know all there is to know about the epidemic. Naruto's part was fun, but hard to write and really didn't have a good explanation as to why, IMO. I might delete the entire story and revamp it... But I don't feel like doing that just yet.

Updates:

Changed the title of 'Shi to Suna no Ookami' beecause I realized the title was rather annoying to say and it wasn't easy to remember since it was Japanese. Hopefully, everyone will find the new title satisfactory. Currently, the new title is 'Salvation of the Beast.' Please PM me your opinions on the title.

DELETED 'Among the lilacs'. I did not feel confident with that drabble. It seemed really cumbersome, so I removed it. Hopefully, I'll make it better and repost it. This is a special case. I do not plan on making removing stories a habit. It's just that that particular story was not done well at all, was too short IMO, and lacked good, original dialogue and structure.

I have five more weeks left of this semester, so I'm probably not going to be writing much during this time. I have to study to do for the last tests and finals coming up...

Edit: Okay, so I found out I write a LOT more fanfics under stress. The reason I've been pumping out so many fanfics lately (more than any other time, probably!) is because my essay for English will be three classes overdue tomorrow, and I'm so stuck on it. I haven't even started! I've already had to drop a grade by sending in an essay late, doing the same again will lower my uncertain grade yet again. I've decided I hate essays... So very, very much...

I've been uploading a story a day, so no updates for new stories. That would be too hectic to have to update every 12 hours. Seriously, my profile is crowded enough as it is.
