Dying on the inside

You see a smile on the outside

~~Life's to precious to pretend it doesn't matter. To short to zip through each day. To fragile to live it crazy. Yet everyday we live putting things off that can be done to day, not saying things we need to, not telling the ones we love that we love them, saying things we don't mean, and doing things we'll regret, but why?

Recently two young men died. One I knew because he went to my mothers old work... he was only 6 years old. The other went to my sister school, was her friend, he was only 18. So tell me...

Does Life matter now?

The 6 year old's name was Jay. he died when his mother acidently fell asleep while driving home late Monday, and crashed into a dirt mound, the car went flying and he was in the front seat. Carrie, Jay's mother, is still fighting for her life.

The 18 year old's name was Corey Kissling. He had just graduated from Logan High School. He had gone on vacation to Myrtle Beach and fell from a 6th story balcony... he was dead when they got there.

Things like these really make you stop and think. Think about how short life really is, realize that each day, could be your last.

What's wrong now?

Why in my world the sun sets in the east and doesn’t rise at all?
The blossom on the trees don’t fall and embrace the ground as snow would in winter.
The birds don’t sing and raise you up out of bed in the morning,
They scream and make you curl up in bed at night.
The spring breeze doesn’t skim past your face and cool you down,
It smacks you in the stomach and suffocates you.
Your friends don’t accept who you are and what you have lost,
They laugh and make jokes. They change you,
No understanding, just abrasive talk without realization.
Everything I am, everything I will be is a lie.
The shadows engulf everything I love. Everything I cared about,
And turns it all on me. Its my fault.
I hide all the pain, so no one else has to suffer,
I let it all out on my own, so no one has to see,
I keep it inside as it slowly controls me.
