Ok... so I REALLY REALLY REALLY SUCK at updating fics. I either lose interest, or I decide I absolutely can't stand my work, or canon messes up my plots... either way, I really suck at anything except for one-shots. I am TRYING to write the next chapter of One Step Away... but the fact that it doesn't tie in completely with canon in the first chapter annoys me... so I'll have to rewrite it, when I get the time.
Time. Time is a very precious resource these days. I have very little of it. I work from 7 in the morning to 5:30 in the evening, with an hour in between for lunch. I teach preschool. There's no way of sneaking off to a computer. I'm usually asleep by 9:00, except on the weekends. Weekends are my only free time... and I'm always busy during them. Like today I was at my proof-reading job. Yeah, two jobs = more money. And I STILL can't afford my own place. >_
I don't really write fanfiction any more, I'm far more into writing original. And even then, it's pushing it. I really struggle to write these days, it's not like it was when I was in high school.
