Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. My favorite type of stories are those with some semblance of originality, something I try to reflect in my own writing. I don't really ascribe to the idea that clichés are acceptable even when executed well. Whether in the hands of a skillful writer or a shoddy one, without a new variation it's just the same trite garbage with a superficial gloss of polish over it. | |||||
