YAOI - The female characters are just fine...if they stay away from the boys. It's just that I think the boys are far more interesting. I read both yaoi and shounen-ai, and yes I do know the difference between the two. I just call it all yaoi because I'm too lazy to say shounen-ai. I mean, come on! It has a whole extra syllable!

MPREG - Yes yes, biologically impossible I know. But that's why it's called fanfiction. It has to have a plausible explanation though, especially if the pairing is more reality-based as opposed to more fiction-based (like Harry Potter with all the magic and potions). It all depends on the fandom or if the story is an AU, but if the explanation is sucky, then no good.

HET - Self-explanatory. Unfortunately for some, my mind automatically yaoiizes anything and everything (and I do mean everything) I set my sight on, so het pairings that really catch my interest are rare and few.

Fanfiction Dislikes:

YURI - I don't mind this, but I'm not particularly fond of it.

THREESOMES/MORESOMES - Again, don't mind this, but I like the characters to have closer relationships with one another.

FLAMERS - If you don't like the story or topic, don't ruin it for those who do. Make use of the 'back' button on the upper left hand side of the screen and ignore the piece that you don't like. In the words of one of my ff.net favorites, Ladya C. Maxine: "Don't like? Don't read. Don't bitch!" I'm very picky about the fanfiction I read, so I know this technique works. Pretty Little Pet:

Pretty Little Pet was an amazing Seymour/Tidus (Final Fantasy X) story. It started out as the typical Seymour-rapes-Tidus fic, but the two started falling in love despite their circumstances. The story vanished just when Seymour admitted to himself that he was falling in love with Tidus. (Of all the horrible cliffhangers to leave readers with before deleting the story...) There was also an OC as the antagonist by the name of Aerandir (or something like that), and I believe the author's pen name was Icia. I last saw this story on adultfanfiction.net quite a few years ago, but I haven't given up hope on finding it once more, so please let me know if you know of it's whereabouts.

A teenage girl, about 17, named Diane had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely.

The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her." Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. Did you know that 98 of teenagers will not stand up for God, and 93 of the people that read this won't repost it?

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that
hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy
behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has
legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed
at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites,
and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were
allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun
marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay
couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to
marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs
more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight
parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like
ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country.
That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model
at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents
to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could
never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to
cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans...
