Hi! My name is The Only Pancake; because I am one of a kind and no other shall be found in my flavor.

I recently watched the 1998 dvd of CATS, and I am loving it something fierce. I think that the characters are just really awesome, everyone is FULL of potential to be written for, and the sketchy family trees makes for some interesting arguments. What’s more, it’s cracktastic, and who can complain about that? Definitely expect to see some stories and one-shots appearing!

I will still be writing for Twilight, of course. I have come to figure I may not even have an OTP, because there are three or four pairs I just think are perfect and great to write about. New Moon is my favorite book, and Breaking Dawn never should have been published. As my c2 would leave it to be assumed, I really love Alice and consider her the series greatest character. I love Leah and Tanya, and I am a vicious supporter of Team Mike. If you go to my side account’s c2 you’ll see some wonderful one-shots about him that show how awesome he really is!!

Warriors will always hold a special place in my heart, because that’s the fandom that got me started on Fanfiction in the first place. The Power of Three really irritated me, and I almost didn’t read The New Prophecy. That said it could rightfully be assumed the original saga was my favorite by far. When Bluestar was leader those cats knew what it really meant to be warriors!

I update somewhere between every four days, and every fourteen. It depends on how much muse I have for the story at the time, my Beta reader, and if I have any pre-written chapters.

NOTICE: I have made a side account for all short stories (10 or less chapters) and most of my one-shots. My screen-name is Pancake The Thunder Hearted. You can find me in my favorite authors list.

As I have been asked many times about these Fanfiction terms, I have decided to finally write them out and stick them on my profile. Feel free, other authors/readers, to copy and paste it into yours as well. I can't possibly be the only one getting questions, even if I am the only pancake. (lol)

I think I have all of the terms on here. If not, PM me and tell me what I am missing!

AH = All Human. There will be no supernatural creatures in the story.

AN = Author's Note. A notice, question, or other comment that the author of the story needs their readers to see.

AU = Alternate Universe. Story does not follow the plot of the original saga.

Canon = It DOES feature in the books. This is often used both for pairings, and for plot. (Ex. for plot: Stories that take place pre-Twilight or post-Breaking Dawn are nearly always acclaimed canon stories, because anything is plausible.)

Crack = A pairing that is not seen in the book.

Cracktastic = A book that is full of implied relations between many different people, therefore having a lot of possibility for crack to be written.

Crossover = Sticking Remus Lupin in the Twilight world? Putting Munkustrap into ThunderClan? Does Koga suddenly have The Sight? You have created a crossover.

Darkfic = This is a fic where dark themes and events are strongly present. It deals with situations like slavery and misuse of sex. Very often includes some sort of physical abuse towards another person. Drug use or graphic death can also constitute a darkfic. (AKA—“Adult Themes”)

Fandom = A category of Fanfiction.net dedicated to a singular series.

Femmeslash = Female and Female smut.

Fluff = A type of fic which has a generally happy atmosphere, rather than loads of smut or angst. Of course, one could always write a specific type of fluff and change that. (IE: Tragic Fluff will be all angst/brood/depression, and then someone dies.)

HEA = Happily Ever After. Rather self-explanatory.

Lemon/Smut = Any non-kid-friendly material, always in a sexual reference. A lemon is most always M rated, while smut can be hidden in between the lines in something K rated if done carefully.

Name Smooshing = This is quite literally smooshing names together. Most popularly used in fandoms with many characters, but can be found all over the Fanfiction community. (IE: Twilight/ Jasper and Alice are Jalice. Warriors/ Tigerstar and Goldenflower are Tigerflower. Harry Potter/ Draco and Hermoine are Dramoine.)

Non-canon = This is used mainly for pairings. If, for example, you read a Jasper/Bella story you are reading a non-canon story because it does not feature in the books.

OC = Original Character. A person not from the books will be featured in the story.

OOC = Out Of Character. The actions or personality of a specific character will be different from what we deem normal for that specific character. (IE: Rosalie might be super nice to Bella right away in an AU fic, which would mean Rosalie was written OOC.)

OTP = One True Pairing. This is the ship that an author has declared their favorite. It can be crack or canon. An OTP is usually very natural-feeling and easy for an author to write. Though unusual, an author can have two OTP's per fandom. (EX: I, myself, cannot decide between Jasper/Bella and Alec/Alice for the Twilight fandom.)

Outtake = It's technical definition is a chapter which has been taken out. However, it's also universally used as a term for a chapter written in another character's POV. Usually posted at the end of the fic once it’s completed.

POV = Point Of View. The eyes that we read through as we follow a fic. (EX: The Twilight saga is Bella's POV.) If written in the third person, no specific POV must be declared, even though it still usually favors one character.

PWP = Porn Without Plot. Graphic lemons written for the sake of being a lemon.

R+R / R&R = Read and Review. It means, basically, that if you read you should be nice enough to review. Us authors love feedback, it is half the reason we write. We like to try and grow as writers. All of us will appreciate and love you beyond what is healthy if we get more than “great chapter, love the story, update soon.”

Ship = It means that you support a specific pairing.

Slash = Male and Male smut.

Songfic = A fan fiction based around or inspired by a song. The contents should have something to do with the lyrics. Usually in one-shot format.

WAFF = Warm and Fuzzy Feeling. It's super fluff! lol. Usually-K-Rated things that just make you gush with happiness induce WAFF.

WIP = Work In Progress. The fic is not yet finished.

MY STORY PROGRESS

If there is a '+' before the title of the fic, that means it is just a semi-regular fic. Rather then my usual weekly, the new chapter will come once every three or four weeks. They are on my sister's laptop, and she's in college, so that's the best I can do. Sorry, guys!

(Warriors) + Death Did Us Part: IN PROGRESS! Category: Angst-&-Romance. / This is a parallel story to Love You To Death, in Ashfur's POV. Squirrelflight used Ashfur in all of the wrong ways during her tense time with Brambleclaw. The tom loved her more than the world, more than his own life, and she turned her back on him. Our warrior was hurt in more ways then we realized. He is willing to do absolutely anything to have some part of Squirrelflight in his life, even if that means settling for her daughter Hollypaw. The young she-cat gets yanked into the water headfirst, and she can't swim her way out. How will Hollypaw survive when this unseen shadow is lurking behind her every step she takes? Will Ashfur survive the dangerous game that he is forcing her to play?

(Warriors) Fall of the Code: HIATUS. Category: Angst-&-Friendship. / Leafstar comes to a sudden, bloody end at the paws of two young apprentices. The grief and shock that follows begins to grow as raw and sore as an open wound, and the clan starts to turn on it's self as they struggle to continue trusting and respecting each other. When a dark and dangerous prophecy from long ago rapidly begins to unravel, three young cats will face a task so large that not even their ancestors have faith in them...

(Warriors) My Father’s Stain, Book Two: HIATUS. Category: Drama-&-Romance. / Frostpool is relying on her more feral instincts to show Starclan that they made a mistake. Badseed worries about her kits more each passing moon, as they are prime targets for her sister's twisted plans. On top of it all, she realized the meaning to the ominous prophecy Starclan has been giving her, and you wouldn't believe how hard it's going to be for her to survive it. As the plot thickens within the forest, neither sister is sure the two clans can take much more tension. Then the shadow of their past shows up and turns life upside down. (Writers block. I will update as soon as I can!)

(Twilight) Stand In The Rain: HIATUS. Category: Hurt/Comfort-&-Romance. / The third installment to the Darkest Before Dawn saga. (Sequel to Indigo Skies.) Jasper's spirit has taken on a host body, and nearly two decades after his untimely death Bella has been reunited with him. This new Jasper has had a difficult life, and he struggles to come to terms with what he once was, and what could become. Can he accept Bella's unwanted love for him, or is this supernatural world too much for the young man to handle?

(Twilight) Stereotype: IN PROGRESS! Category: Angst. / Everyone knows someone who fits into a generalized label, and if we admit it or not we ALL use these labels sometimes. There's that quiet kid, Angela. There's the class clown, Mike. There's the fake girl, Jessica. And don't forget the geeky boy, Eric. These people eventually just become faces; the quiet kids, the class clown, the fake girls, the geeks. They lose their identity, and nobody gives them a second thought. Nobody ever pauses and asks themselves what could have possibly turned them into those sorts of people. What their lives are like that make them want to be quiet, or goof off, or whatever they do. This story used the main Twilight characters to explore the harsh and misleading world of stereotypes. (AH)

(Twilight)+The Birthday Girl: POSTPONED! Category: Friendship-&-Romance. / A collab between myself and voldemortperfumes. It's going to be three long chapters of PWP. It's momentarily postponed.

(Twilight) The Project: IN PROGRESS! Category: Romance. / Bella moves to Forks, not planning to meet any new people, or develop a social life. She is swept into a world full of more experiences than she was ready for. Love is found. Friendships are created and broken. The people she has grown to love will struggle to find themselves among the thick fog that peers and parents can swirl around the air. Will Bella overcome all of the obstacles Forks faces her with, or will she fall and be left in the dust? AU-AH, crack pairings galore. (Will focus on Carlisle/Bella and Jasper/Bella. Mostly J/B.) I want to thank Oracle Vas and Scooby Lady. Without you two, this fic would not be as good as it is! :D
