Author has written 43 stories for Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy X, and Final Fantasy I-VI. Updated: 1 Dec 2009 I've been slow at updating my FF.net account throughout much of 2009 and even slower at finishing stories I've promised to finish long ago. Bad me? Much of the fic that I haven't posted here can be found on LiveJournal on my Fic List, which includes all of the drabbles I post semi-regularly on LJ's ff_fortnightly community. Thank you readers for all of your reviews. :D My life in 2009 has been overly busy and my writing has been limited to 100 or 200 word drabbles, and to planning, plotting, and drafting massive epics that aren't yet ready to be posted chapter by chapter. I now have many words that are ready for final edit and posting so hopefully I'll have more activity on this account. Below is a list of WIPs in order that I plan on updating them. Blindness (revisioned) - FFXII. in-game. a Basch/Penelo journey. a Balthier/Ashe side-trip. A novel. In response to requests that I finish Blindness (or any of my Basch/Penelo epics ), I've collected all potentially useful draft chapters and drabbles from old files. I have slightly more than 100,000 words culled from earlier drafts of Blindness, Vængir, plus a few uncompleted Basch/Penelo and Balthier/Ashe prompts from IJ and LJ. My current plan is to transform prior drafts & outlines of ideas into a journey/road story. Textural. Atmospheric. Linear (except for 1st chapter). I never really liked the beginning and end of the first chapter of Blindness so I'm rewriting it (halfway done with that right now). My goal is to post the revised first chapter plus the new second chapter sometime by xmas. This story is now muuuuch longer than what was originally envisioned for Blindness but the plot is much simpler (linear!) than the original plot for Vængir. The good thing is that the story doesn't require me to draft or plan all that much (given all I have written and outline notes I already have. Mostly, I just want to focus on writing and updating regularly, adding new chapters throughout 2010+ until the story comes to an end. Scars - FFXII. pre-game Drace/Gabranth. A novella. I've been searching for an ending to this story for too long. In Nov-Dec 2008 I completely rewrote this in order to find an ending. In total, it is a nine chapter story. Chapters 1 & 2 are done (but only on LJ, not yet here). Chapters 3, 4, 5 & 6 only need light editing. Chapters 7, 8 & 9 need more cleanup but the story's end has formed in my head. Yay?! Planning to finish this during the upcoming Winter break and have all 9 chapters up by early-mid January 2010. Invisible Sun - FFXII. Noah survives post-game and finds himself in Penelo's care in Rabanastre (eventual Noah/Penelo, memories of Gabranth/Drace, & other pairings). Rise and Fall of Empires. Espers & Occuria. 707-727+ O.V. FFXII/RW/FFT xover. An epic. I posted a test chapter long ago, posted the official chapter 1 back in the spring, and have had chapter two sitting in draft since February. Since then, the outline has grown and grown and grown. Mostly, it has taken in lots of ideas that were originally going into the post-game part of Vængir, but feel much better in this ever so slightly AU Ivalice (AU only in that Noah survives). I'm now breaking the plot down into a series of short stories so it's easier for me to write and post as I go. Hopefully I'll be ready to begin posting in January/February 2010 (after finishing Scars, and while switching off with posting chapters of Blindness). This is the epic I have wanted to write for a long, long, long while. :) My Brother the Traitor - FFXII. Basch + Noah backstory in Landis. 787-788 O.V. A novel. I spent most of November 2009 outlining and drafting this story. It currently has 6 sub-plots that need a little reorganization, currently 33291 words of story + 22000 words of notes. Given that the plot is complex, that it requires many OCs and lots of new setting (inventing Landis), and that it threatens to be around 100,000 to 120,000 words (??) when finished, I really want to have a complete first draft or at least most of the draft and all of the outline before I post anything more than the first two chapters (already up). Perhaps late spring 2010 before I start updating again? (I regularly post f-locked updates about this WIP in my LJ). Other WIPs begging for my attention in 2010: - A few short stories and multichapter stories about the Archadian cast, mostly pre-game. - Not in a Place Like This - FFXII. A novella. A pre-game Vossler/Basch, Vossler/Ashe, (Ashe/Rasler) novella that strings together and fills in the gaps of many short Vossler/Basch stories I've written (mostly on LJ), plus some Ashe stories that have been sitting in draft for a long, long while. I have the whole thing organized and outlined, but it isn't my highest priority right now. - The Death of Lady Bunansa (almost a novella) & Discpline (a short story). Ffamran/Gabranth, AU Ivalice crossed with Edwardian & Interwar England. Completely drafted. Waiting for final edit. Will probably complete during xmas 2009. Other fannish things: Except for insanely short stories, I've had almost no time to read fanfic in 2009.
