Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter, and Twilight. It's been a long time since I've written fanfiction. But I think it will be a fun and relaxing way to keep myself writing while I edit my own original things. I'll try and update my stuff fairly regularly, and I'll let you know here, on my profile, if I ever plan on not updating for a little while. As mentioned, I am in the middle of editing my own original fiction, so fanfiction takes a back seat to it. "Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." - Douglas Adams I'm currently stuck on four fandoms - Harry Potter, Twilight, One Piece, and Naruto. However, I'll probably only ever write in the first two, and maybe Naruto. Maybe. The Harry Potter book series: I love the Harry Potter Series. I do feel, however, that Rowling was building a very wide-open, mysterious and magical world, and after the fifth book, well, that world started becoming a lot smaller. And I thought the payoffs didn't always merit it. For one thing, the fifth's book plot, well, was anyone surprised by that? I don't even know why Harry was. And the Seventh book, well, it had some high moments, but more low moments, for me. I mean, I think every book is very well-done and well-written. And maybe it's because I'm older, so I analyze the books more than I should. I still think it's a series that has forever changed me as a reader and writer, and I'm proud of that fact. The Twilight book series: Books 1 - 2 = Really fun. I found the first book was really fun and mysterious until the point Bella learned what Edward was. For some reason, after that, a lot of the oomph of the story was sucked out and replaced with romantic serenading. To be fair, the book was never trying to hide that it was a love story, so I just accept it. The second book, I found, to be legitimately very fun. I loved the werewolves, and I thought Meyers did a great job building them up and exploring their mythos. It might have helped that the vampires weren't in the book (though I missed Jasper and Emmett), since they seem, well, too uptight. We never would have seen Bella and Edward riding motorcycles together, or seeing bad horror movies, etc. It's not even so much a Team Jacob vs. Team Edward thing for me, so much as it's, Team Bella Doing Things That Aren't Just Poetically Describing Her Vampire Boyfriend. Book 3 = No. I forced myself through this book because I thought, I enjoyed the first book, and I really liked the second, how can the third not continue the trend? Especially since we got to learn more backstories behind the Cullens, saw a werewolf/vampire training session, and a huge fight? Well, yeah, those scenes were fun. The rest of the book, I dunno, was it the fact Bella was perfectly ok with Edward being a controlling ass? That Jacob turned into an ass? That the main plot was more about why Bella didn't want to marry Edward - BUT - wanted to spend forever with him, loves him with all of heart and soul, and can't stand a day without seeing him? What? Oh, that's right, because people will "talk." So what? You're going to live forever... soon those people will be specks of dust in your memory. Gah! Book 4 = Haven't read it yet, but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. That said, I've really enjoyed all the movies, including the third. I think it was because the third just kept going, glossed over the parts of the book I found excruciating. I dunno, I hope to read the fourth book but it's not high on my list. Stories: The Ward Keeper: A HP/Twilight Crossover. Currently on Hiatus - Been doing a LOT of original writing/editing, and this story, unfortunately, came at a bad time. Not only did I get busy, but the third book, geez, really killed a lot of positive feelings I had for the Twilight universe. Currently Working On: 1. Chapter Four/Five of The Ward Keeper. 2.
